Dear Friends,

While we must accept change as it is the only constant thing in life, I somehow cannot accept the changes in my once a upon a time favourite serial. Why? for the following reasons;

1) When I started watching KS sometime in 2006 it was a story of 3 ordinary sisters, 3 girls with whom many of us connected. From small town trying to make it big in a city of dreams. In Mumbai, many girls come each year chasing their dreams....in all discipline and fields, be it the showbiz, banking sector, corporate sector, service sector etc., now one the sister who seemed most glamourous and ambitious has vanished, the studious one instead of joining the corporate sector stands like a pillar and the eldest one, with whom we all fell in love ....well what can I say....I will come back to her case later...

2) Had good looking men, Jai, Aditya, Ranveer, Sahil, Tarun, later on AD, Daksh, Moksh and of course our favourite Pushkar, even if they stood like pillar, they were good to watch, they acted well except for Sahil/Daksh/Moksh and AD's irritating hand gestures, the rest did there job well, of course Jai being exceptional....the men now, well I will refrain from commenting as less said the better, what happened to Balaji's talent hunts god only knows, neither looks nor acting is upto the mark...

3) The innocence and the simplicity: The story had a certain innocence, Bani trying hard to maintain the dignity of the family, though I did not agree to her jasoosi and sheilding Jai un-necessarily but she looked innocent, dressed simply and tried to keep everyone happy, at the same time facing problems boldly...that is lost, Bani's keeping secret from Jai has become too much, people who knew did not open their mouth specially Masi and Poorva when Bani was in soup and now Pia inspite of knowing everything has fled the country of 16 years, trying to save her own life and that of her son and ex/or not ex-husband...the simple story has become too complicated...

4) While the show in the past was packaged nicely, showing family and business related problems, problems in relationship, it has now turned into a show of Jai & Bani's bichharna, milna phirse bichhar jana. From where Meera came, why Jai had to marry her, when did he divorce Bani, nothing is clear...on top Meera after killing JB's children, making Bani disappear for 16 years is living 22 years of blissful happy married life...

Now the revenge track has started, showing the children of Jai and Bani and Bani trying to come back to Walia Mansion....why I am not being able to accept this....when I think 16 years a woman has missed out on her children/husband/ life/ memory I feel....O god if this really happened to someone...will that person remain sane? 22 years of happily married life as someone's wife inspite of being a killer, even if Meera is thrown into the dungeons with hungry reptiles, is the punishment worth it...when I see the generation X and think, Bani had no role to play in their bringing up or they were brought up by the killer I think....god spare me....🤢🤢...The videos of this show I still watch repeatedly but the first 6 months or year maximum...inspite of the last thursday episode being good, I did not feel like watching it again, KS is no longer sweet, it has become a bitter pill, too bitter to swallow...

Tin,

As per the principle of BT shows, all the shows starts with a note of reality, then they become fictitious, then they go beyond the limit of fiction...

Nothing can be done....

With Sandeep Sikand gone... BT shows have lost the grip...

You are right Abhilasha, not only that after every problem there was a reason for us to smile i.e at the beginning of the serial in 2006, but try and recollect when you last smiled after seeing a KS episode recently?

I used to love watching KS - sometimes even watching the repeats - I used to love watching the blossoming love of two people who had no intention of falling in love with each other, I could relate to Bani and in Pia and Rano I could see my own two sisters as well, but ever since they showed the ONS between Jai & Pia - there has been no rhyme or reason to KS - I finally gave up when they showed the second leap - now I only read the updates and that too is painfull, because than I think only of the glorious days of KS and what it used to be like when I eagerly awaited to watch an episode.

I blame only EK and her band of stupid creators for destroyin the essence of Kasamh Se and turning it into a daily episode of stranger that fiction. EK is too busy trying to make money and being the Queen B that she no longer is making quality drama's - she's a production house that is shovelling out too much sh*t to take care of anything.

Tiny,

You're not the only one who can't accept the change. Change is inevitable, but there is always some good in the change for us to accept it. Unfortunately, there is nothing good with the change in KS.

Absolutely true, the change started with the departure of SS. KS started to plummet in terms of quality of storyline and maintaining the integrity and dignity of already well liked and well established characters.

I was hooked from the beginning, and so I hoped that the same level of quality of storytelling and character development would continue even after SS left. How wrong I was. I ranted against the ONS as did the majority of viewers...yet it happened. Even after that disaster ... I still had hope that my once loved character of Jai Walia would rise like the phoenix back to his former glory. Again how wrong I was. Like a fool I continued watching hoping that some good would happen. Jai Walia would return to the man of dignity, intelligence and integrity that got me hooked to KS; storylines would be entertaining and not gross and disgusting, but I was wrong.

After the introduction of Meera...my addiction to KS waned and after this unimaginable leap my addiction is gone. Like you..I cant imagine a woman losing 16 years of her life with her children and her family. I find it completely unacceptable and cant find one ounce of entertainment in knowing that Meera has lived her youth in happiness and luxury. This is what Ekta, her creatives and an audience find entertaining. I guess I am in the minority like you. I cant watch KS simply to look at pretty or handsome actors. There needs to be a storyline, or at least an acceptable storyline ... and KS for over a year and a half has not had any. Many storylines have been simply abandoned and never resolved. I feel as an audience member of KS that Ekta, BT and ZT dont care about fan loyalty. So I no longer feel loyal to KS.

I loved KS for its simplicity and wonderful story of romance revolving around Jai Walia the khadoos business man and Bani the naive, strong young woman. I didnt watch KS for murder, malice or black magic. KS no longer has the USP that kept me glued to screen or surfing for info about KS. I have found another show that offers that simple love story, with a wonderful storyline, that has humour, angst, conflict and still manintains the integrity, likeability and dignity of all characters. Thanks Henna for the recommendation of Sweet 18. It is what KS should have been but sadly I think Indian serials are years away from such wonderful storytelling that doesnt involve the hatred and obscenity that K serials seem to thrive on.

Just my 2 cents.

tin, even i am not able to accept the change and its not like that i have stopped watching as PD left but i was forced by destructives to stop watching or to give a chance to leap or new bani because of pathetic storyline and showing that JW was living happily with murderer of his own children and was a fool and not aware of that, never looked for his lost child atharva or tried to look for murderer of bani but that stupid character was busy making babies with meera bai, just hate the introduction of vicky, son of JM. i cannot digest all these things as they r too gross and there is nothing left in butchering of any character so what is the use of watching this show.
