Part D Mere Dost, Meri Dosti
At the office, Jai sat around wondering what Bani and Meera are upto. He couldn't hang around either of them or they would get suspicious. Hmm…may be should talk to AD, find out what his thoughts were on Meera…it be good to get Meera fixed up with someone, someone who keep her busy enough not to go around snooping with Bani. A smile lit his face at the thought…two women who couldn't help but get entangled in problems…they seem to have knack for finding some poor soul that needed rescuing. He blew his at the piece of hair falling forward, picked up his cell and dialled AD.
"AD! What' new yaar?"
AD: "I have a bone to grind with you. Where did you find that crazy woman? Meera…she should be called…Adbhootni…she is unbelievable. She thought I was pimp."
Jai laughed, "What did you say to her? She is not bad…come one. She is your Banibhabhi's best friend."
AD: "No way she is bhabhi's best friend…where did she find her."
Jai still laughing, "Actually I found her. I met her at a Mohan's party. She is Mohan's sister."
AD: "She is Mohan's sister. No wonder she is mad. Anybody go mad having that crazy skirt chaser as a brother. Goddamit no wonder she thought I was there to chase up her skirt."
Jai sniggered, "So are thinking of chasing her…"
AD: "No! I am going to keep away from her. She would drive me insane."
"Oh well too bad then…I was going to invite you home for dinner."
AD: "Dinner…chance to sample bhabhi's cooking. Why can't I come?"
"Cause Meera will be there."
"I can put up with Meera for couple of hours. I am coming to dinner…What time?"
"Tonight at seven…and AD…"
"What Jai?"
"Keep your hands off Bani. She is mine."
Laughter, AD: "Ok baba…can I just kiss her on the cheek?"
"No! You can kiss Meera's cheek instead."
Jai ended the call and then dialled Meera. "Hi Meera!"
Meera: "What do you want Jai Walia?"
"Oh come on now Meera…be nice."
Meera: "Nice! I know you are up to something no good. What are you after Jai Walia?"
"Nothing! I thought you might like to come home for dinner, seeing I kind of messed up last night with your and Bani's plan."
Meera: "I am mad at you, Jai Walia for sending that pervert friend of yours in place of Bani…he is worse than you…one track mind all you guys."
Jai chuckling at her ranting, "Come on Meera, stop exaggerating! AD is a gentleman. He would never lay a finger on you."
Meera: "Haan. You don't know your friends! Why do you want me to come for dinner?"
"Because I want to have dinner with two beautiful ladies in my life."
Meera giggling: "Huh…I don't believe you. You are up to something fishy."
"Owww.. Meera. Don't you want to see Bani? Can't a guy do something nice for his wife?"
Meera: "Fine, I will be there."
"Bye beautiful." Jai dialled Bani, "Hi honey!"
Bani: "Mr Walia, how is your day going?"
"Great honey! What about you?"
"Fine. I was just going out shopping with masi."
"Good I caught in time. Listen I invited AD and Meera over for dinner."
"AD and Meera! What are you up to Mr Walia?"
"Tut Bani! Can't we have friends over for dinner?"
"Huh…but AD and Meera. Meera hates AD."
"How do you know Meera hates AD?"
"Well because she called me and gave me an earful about him."
"Don't you think Bani that if they say they don't like each other, than may be they could end up liking each other."
"AD, never. He is such flirt."
"Well I already told them so I can't back out now."
"Fine. I have to go. Maasi is waiting. Bye Mr Walia."
"Bye honey."
Jai put his cellphone away and opened up his laptop. The thought of the coming evening had him smirking away as he opened up his laptop and started to do real work. Should be an interesting evening to see AD and Meera trying to get along and Bani will be where she should be, right beside him in the house.
