"Mamma...mamma. Open the door mamma." Ganga's voice rang through the closed door. Bani removed her self out of Jai's arms and stepped out. She quickly grabbed her clothes off the floor and threw them in the bathroom. Glaring at Jai still lounging, she shouted, "Get up Jai and get into the bathroom unless you want Ganga to see you naked."
Jai pulled the duvet up over him, "There I am covered. Are you going to put something on before you open the door?" he asked as he razed his eyes over her. Bani pulled her bathrobe on and tied it firmly and then walked over to the bed and yanked the duvet off and hissed, "into the bathroom now."
Jai sniggered at her and then jumping out ran into the bathroom before Bani could hit him. Bani walked over to the door and opened the door. Ganga rushed into the room, "What took you so long and why are not dressed yet? Where is papa? He was going to take me park."
Bani pulled at Ganga's hair. "So much impatient. Listen papa is in the bathroom getting ready." Ganga pursing her lips, "Mamma its almost afternoon. How come papa is still getting ready? Why was the door locked?" Bani flushed slightly, "Silly girl...I locked the door as I was going to about to dress. Now why don't you run along and wait for papa downstairs." Ganga gave Bani a pecular look as if Bani was crazy and shrugged her shoulders and left. Bani heaved a sigh of relief. Good thing the door was closed, otherwise the girl would have caught both of them in bed.
After few minutes Jai stepped out, dressed. He looked around, "Where is she? Where is Ganga?" he asked. Bani threw him a glare, "I sent her downstairs. She was asking too many questions?"
Jai smirked, "What kind of questions?" Bani huffed past him and shouted, "She wanted to know why her papa wasn't ready yet to take her to the park."
The last thing she heard before she slammed the door was, "I hope you told her the truth Bani." And then laughter muffled through the door.
Half an hour later Bani came down dressed in a light blue sari. Jai ogled at her, giving her looks. Bani just ignored him. "Chalo lunch kar le phir bahar jayenge." And she walked towards the dining room and sat down at the table. Jai and Ganga took their places. Dadi and masi were already seated.
"Munna, aaj office nahi jaana?" masi asked. Jai smiled at masi, "aaj chuti masi, Ganga ko promsie ki thi, park mei lei janneko."
Masi smiled at Ganga, who was eating her food rather quickly, obviously excited at going out.
Once lunch was over, masi and dadi retired after telling Jai, Bani and Ganga to enjoy themselves.
Jai decided not to drive the car as he could then sit in the back with his wife and daugher. The half an hour ride went by quickly with Ganga chattering non-stop. Bani in the mean time gave Jai cold looks as Jai took advantage to sitting close to her...he slipped his hand under the sari and onto Bani waist and traced lazy circles on the skin. The smile on his face added further to her irritation. Bani couldn't even tell him off as Ganga would won't to know what was wrong.
At the park Ganga ran off towards the play area leaving Jai and Banit to stroll slowly. Jai tried putting his arm around Bani, only to find it shrugged off and hissing in his ears, "Mr Walia, we are in a public place. Behave yourself."
Jai spoke enervatedly, "Mrs Walia, who said a husband isn't allowed to put his hands on his wife. I am just trying to be a loving husband."
Bani poking him sharply in the side, "I know how loving my husband is already. Just keep your hands to yourself while we are out side Mr Walia. "
Jai huffed, "You are no fun Bani. I am going to join Ganga." And he walked away quickly.
Bani found a bench a to sit. She sat and watched the children playing or strolling around with their parents. Her cell phone buzzed and she picked it up, "Hello..."
"Bani. What happened to our meeting? Why did you send that man over to meet me at th mandir? I thought we were going to plan how we would find out the real kilers." Meera shouted in the phone.
"Meera chill yaar. You know Jai...he saw me going out and well..." too embarassed to tell her what happened, she sighed, "let's say he wouldn't let me go out. And he is the one who sent AD over. Oh by the way Meera, do you like AD? I think he would be perfect for you. He is tall, gorgeous and very romantic."
Meera screamed, 'Ah....Bani stop match making. I will find my own Mr Perfect. Let's talk about finding out who the killers are."
Bani saw Jai walking towards her. "Meera got to go...Mr Walia is coming back. Don't call me. Listen I will call you."
Jai saw her tuck away the cell phone. "Who were you talking to Bani.?" he asked as he took a seat next to her. Bani casually, "Oh it was Meera,w ondering why I didn't come to meet her. By the way she wasn't impressed with AD."
Jai carefully put his arm across her back but rested it on the top of the bench. "I hope you didn't tell her all about our bedroom games Bani. I hate to think you divulge all our little games to someone else."
Bani flushed red, "Mr Walia! You have s** on your mind all the time. And don't worry I won't go around inflating your ego telling everyone what a great lothario you are."
"Bani why do you get mad all the time. I was just teasing. Chill out. How about we take Ganga for icecream? By the way do you know how sexy you look...pink cheeks and flaming eyes."
A light punch brought laughter from him as he watched his wife's pink cheeks go bright.
