Part 2

When Bani woke up her head started to hurt. She looked over at the side table to get some water, but the jug was gone. She thought to call Jai, but she hesitated a bit. She heard a knock on the door and Mausi came in with a jug of water for Bani.

Mausi: How are yoo feeling?

Bani: I am fine, but my head hurts.

Mausi: Here you go, have some water and you will feel better.

Bani: Thank you.

Mausi: I will help you get dressed and then you can come down and meet everyone else.

Bani: No...Mausi please...don't bother, I will...

Mausi: It's no problem at all unless you want Jai to come and help you change.

Bani's head shot up and loooked at Mausi with her eyes popping out of their sockets. Mausi just started laughing looking at Bani's expression and Bani here was on a verge of crying. Her eye's became watery and tears started to flow down. Mausi stopped laughing and saw that Bani was crying. Mausi came to her and hugged Bani.

Mausi: I am so sorry beta. I was only joking and I didn't mean it. Ok now stop crying and I will go and get something of Meera's for you to wear.

Mausi left the room and Bani gave her a small smile. She came back with some track pants (cause of the cast) and a top and helped Bani get ready. When Bani was ready, Mausi called Jai and she went downstairs to make lunch.

Jai came in the ans saw that no one was in the room besides Bani who was trying to get onto her wheelchair. Jai saw that Bani was about to fall so he rushed by her side and gave her support. Bani had her eyes closed and let out a small shout. She felt a strong hand on her wait and one on her arm. She got so scared and opened her eyes, only to find a pair of brown muddy eyes looking down at her with a concerned look on his face.

Jai: Are you ok?

Bani was too scared to say anything. Jai asked her again.

Bani: uh...yeah...I am fine (she said very nervously)

Jai was wondering what was wrong with her. Did he do something wrong? He helped Bani up into the wheelchair and made her sit.

Bani: Thank you

Jai was just staring at her. Bani didn't even notice until she turned towards him and saw him looking at her straight in the eyes. He still could help but think that he knows her because her name sounds so familiar. Jai saw fear, and hurt in her eyes while she saw concern and questions in his. They were just staring at each other until...

Mausi: Jai, do you need any help (she asked from downstairs)

Jai: (He broke out of his thoughts) uh... No Mausi its ok.

Jai stood behind the wheelchair and pushed it out the door and to the edge of the stairs. He had called Nattu, and he came running.

Nattu: Hi! My name is Nachiket, but you can call me Nattu cause everyone does.

Bani gave a small smile to him.

Nattu: May I ask what your name is?

Jai: Her name is Bani.

Nattu: Hi! I am Jai's younger brother, and the less serious and more fun loving one.

Jai gave Nattu an angry stare.

Jai: Just shut up and take the wheelchair down while I take Bani down.

Bani could believe what she just heard. Jai was going to take her downstairs. She was getting all scared. If only she didn't have a plaster on her foot, then she would have just ran out of the house the very day she got there.

Jai put one of Bani's arms around his neck and lifted her up in his arms and slowly walked down the stairs. He felt Bani shiver and knew that she was feeling very uncomfortable being this close to him. He felt bad and really wanted to help her and decided that he will talk to her about this later.

Jai placed Bani down on the couch and Nattu brought the wheelchair down and set it beside the couch. Mausi came and sat beside Bani, Jai and Nattu sat on the other side.

A whole bunch of people walked in form different directions and saw Bani sitting on the couch. They all came and gathered around Bani. They all said hello and exchanged greetings. They all knew who Bani was but Bani didn't have a clue of who everyone was. She was feeling very awkward just sitting there. There was silence in the room, but Jai finally broke the ice.

Jai: Bani, this is my family. Let me introduce you to everyone.

Before Jai could even say another word, they just introduced themselves.

Pia: Hi, I'm Pia, and this is my husband Pushkar. He is Jai's cousin, and younger brother. (She was 5 months pregnant)

Purva: Hi, I'm Purva and the that is sitting right across from you reading a magazine not even bothered about his 7 MONTH PREGNANT WIFE! Is my husband Nattu. (Nattu jumped up out of his seat and made sure Purva was sitting comfortably)

Sahil: Hi, I'm Sahil and this is my wife Raashi. I am Jai's youngest brother. Raashi also says hi.

Anu: Hi, I'm Anu and this is my fianc Tarun. Tarun is Jai's best friend and Jai is my cousin and Pushkar is my brother.

Daadi: Last but not the least is me. You can call me daadi. Jai is my grandson.

Jai: Where is Meera? She should be back by now.

Mausi: Don't worry Jai, she will be back soon.

Jai: She left before I brought Bani home and she is still not back. I am getting really worried.

Suddenly the doors fly open and a woman came running up to Jai and gave him a big hug. Jai had a huge smile on his face when he saw her.

Jai: Where the hell have you been all this time?

Meera: I'm so sorry I am late. I was...

Jai: I don't want to hear it. You know how worried I get if you don't call.

Meera: I'm really really very sorry. Please forgive me.

Jai: Today I won't forgive you.

Meera: Please

Everyone was just looking at the cute little fight Jai and Meera were having and they found it so funny. Bani just felt awkward being there cause she hasn't adjusted to this new environment and just wanted to be alone and go upstairs.

Daadi: Jai, forgive her today because she went to the doctor.

Jai: (His head flew up as soon as he heard the word doctor) What! Why? What happened to her? Is she ok? Tell my god damit!

Meera: Jai calm down. Nothing happened to me so don't worry. I just have to suffer like 2 others in this house.

Jai: What the hell are you talking about?

Meera: Jai I mean to say that...

Tony: (He interrupted) Lunch is ready!

Jai: Just shut up Tony! You are just worried about the food and who the hell will eat it, but you don't care that someone is sick in this house and that we should take care of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mausi: Jai why are you yelling at him? Calm down and let Meera explain what happened.

Jai: I'm sorry Tony. I didn't mean to yell at you.

Tony: Sir its ok. There is no need to apologize.

Jai: Now Meera, can you please kindly tell me what is wrong with you? Why will you suffer like 2 others who are apparently also suffering in this house?

Meera: Jai, I'm...

Jai: You are what...


Meera: I'm am...

Jai: Meera for God sakes please tell me!

Meera: I'm pregnant!
