RECAP

Bani lives in a village with her two adopted sisters and her beloved Dadaji, she is the darling of her community, but what surprises does life hold for her and who exactly is this mysterious Aditya and what is he doing in her village, read on to find out more?



Looking suspiciously at Aditya from under her nose, Bani pushed her ugly glasses up and whispered to Mr Mishra, "I really must talk to you about letting in some really weird guests Nanaji"


"HA HA HA HA, do I amuse you Miss Bani Mishra….."Said Aditya, this chit of a girl amused him for sure and he liked her immensely all ready.

"It's Bani Dixit and no just your appearance, does your wife let you walk around the home like that", said Bani, hands on both hips, shaking her head at his appearance, while scanning him up and down.

Laughing even more Aditya replied, "My Ex - wife wouldn't even notice, but my sweet Bahu would, you to would get on like a house on fire!

Bani turned away in embarrassment, she wanted the ground to swallow her up, she whispered some thing about breakfast and Pia and Rano, and she speed off like a rocket.

Smiling to him self about Bani's oblivious embarrassment a wicked thought came to mind, smiling to him self more, he made a mental note to him self to ring Masi during work, turning to Mr Mishra he said,

"I have some work out of town today, it shouldn't take me away from here over night, can you keep my room for me and if I can, I might be able to make it back here in the evening for dinner, I have some thing I would like to talk about with you",

Mr Mishra nodded and walked over to the breakfast room, but not before a young male guest went charging past him nearly causing him to fall. Aditya lunged forward and just in time managed to save Mr Mishra from a nasty fall.

" Thanks son, rush, rush, rush, young people are always running to the next destination or goal in their life, when you get to my age, you often wonder if running was such a good idea. Stopping sometimes even just to catch your breath is my advice, take it from me Mr Bali, at the end of the day its between you and god so why the rush, don't let life pass you by like I did".

Mr Mishra affectionately patted Aditya's shoulder and walked alone to the dining room were breakfast was being served, again shaking his head Aditya remembered a certain individual who was in need with this kind of advice.

Aditya eat breakfast nosily, after a long time he was enjoying good calibre food, he had been on the road for the last 4 days and quite frankly even missed Jigyasa's attempts at cooking. Aditya watched form the corner of his eyes, Pia and Rano enter the dining hall. Pia was carrying a fake designer hand bag, while Rano looked like a sporty type, a typical chak de girl with the top and jogging bottoms and super slicked back hair in a tight pony tail, even her glasses looked sporty with the familiar swoosh on each side. Pia looked like a wannabe model; Aditya chuckled to himself, only a wannabe model would turn up at a breakfast table wearing full make up and a short pink sequin dress.

Sitting down the girls seemed to be quietly arguing with each other, Aditya didn't fail to notice the eye signals and friendly pokes the did to each other, something was obliviously eating these two girls up.

Pia, got up, and straitened her dress, walking over to Aditya's table, in a super slick model type manner, ignoring the obvious dagger's being thrown at her from Rano's direction. Pia went to flick her hair when she tripped on a piece of toast that had fallen on the floor. She fell in to Aditya's table, causing her dress to be ruined and her to fall in to a heap on to the floor. Aditya, biting his tongue, helped her up. Rano rushed over with a napkin to wipe her clothes. Rano was laughing and cursing Pia at the same time, Pia looked at Aditya fussing over her and pulling her up on to a chair she asked breathlessly,

"Mr Bali sir, can you tell me if you have met any one famous in Mumbai", Rano had just gone to get a glass of water for Pia and on hearing this bellowed,

"Pia, shut up", and playfully punched Pia in the elbow and roughly gave her a glass of water to keep her mouth shut,

"No you shut up Rano, I'm only asking one innocent little question…"

"Well Bani di said not to ask anything".

The girls squabbled some more till Pia, got up and yelled at the table throwing her napkin,

"Its not fair, why are Bani Di and Rano going, why can't I go to, stupid exam's its so not fair".

Bani came in and dropped the tea tray heavily on to the dining table causing all the cups to rattle, moving swiftly towards Pia and Rano she grabbed both their ears and gently tugged them.

"Tum dono phir se shoro hogaye",

"But Bani di, she started it", said Rano pointing at Pia.

"Jaisa tum sati savitri ho, dono jhansi ki Rani jaisa larr tai hai, aur mujhe buddu bana tai hai".

"Bani di mere phere mein mucch hai, mein karr nai sak di", said Pia winking at Rano when Bani was not looking.

"Kya, Khub se, Kya hua, dard lag ti hai", Bani immediately let go and staring examining Pia looking for any sighs of injuries, she put her palm on Pia's forehead, puzzled she mumbled "you don't seem to have a temperature".

BEEPS, BEEP, the school bus to take Rano and Pia was here.


Pia and Rano quickly bent down touching their Bani Di's feet and grabbing their bags. Running off quickly before their Di chased them for being so cheeky, they loved their Di but they knew better that their Di loved them a hundred times more.

Waving bye to them from the window, Bani hung on to a curtain for dear life until she saw them both enter the school bus.

"HA HA, did Rano and Pia make a buddu out of you again", said Mr Mishra.

"Yes Nanaji, they did and I don't mind, because after all I won't be here tomorrow and we three will be separated for a year, Rano in Delhi training for the commonwealth games and me in Mumbai………"

Bani let go of the curtain suddenly and walked in to the kitchen keeping her head down, her palm was sore from holding the fabric so tight and everyone in the dining hall didn't fail to notice the tears she tired to hide so desperately.
