Episode begins with Meera tellling Bani that she wants to complain that Bani has not kept her word. Bani looks worried, But Meera smiles and tells her that Bani had promised to put mehndi for her. Bani is embarrassed that it's completely slipped her mind as she's busy with the food. Meera tells her not to worry coz she's got the mehndi cone with her and Bani can put it for her right here. Bani and Meera sit and Bani begins applying the mehndi on Meera's hands. Inside the mehndi song from 'Zubeidaa' plays as the function begins.
Karuna comes out with the rest of the WM ladies and tastes the meethi khichdi and is horrified. She yells out for Meera who comes running and lambasts her for choosing a cook who doesn't know the dofference between sugar and salt. Meera is surprised and tries to tell her that there must have been some mistake, but Karuna is in no mood to listen . The Thakurain is listening with a satisfied smirk. Dubeyji comes forward and tells Meera that this is why he had taken the contract back from the dhabawali but after that Meera had gone ahead with her again. Karuna is furious and tells Meera to just shut up. She tells Dubeyji not to give the cook any more money, in fact to take back the advance and drag her in front of her.
Behind in the kitchen Dubeyji is firing Bani and she tells him that its not possible as they had not brought the khichdi with them. But he refuses to listen to anything and tells her that she has to return the advance. Bani tells him that the advance has been spent on getting the supplies and that she has no money left. But Dubeyji is adamant and keeps asking her for the money. Bani asks him if she could have a word with the hostess but Dubeyji warns her against it as the hostess will throw her out in full public view. Bani has tears in her eyes as she's completely helpless. She asks him for a couple of days time but he's insistent on the money only. She bows her head and begins praying. They show Karuna panicking as the guests begin filing in. JW comes in and one of the men ask him to join them for dinner. JW is not too keen but then slowly walks towards the buffet counters as Bani is shown praying for Divine Intervention. A spoonful of the meetha khichdi is put on his plate and Karuna fears the outbreak of a storm. She covers her face with dread as Jai puts a spoonfull in his mouth. To everyone's shock, he loves it and urges the others to have it. its an acquired taste. The thakurain's jaw drops. Jai says that its been a very long time since he's eaten his favourite dish and is surprised who knew he liked meetha khichdi. At that Karuna pipes up and tells him that she knew of all his likes and dislikes and had it made specifically for him. Jai takes out some money and hands it to the waiter to give it to the cook as a tip. In the kitchen Bani is praying when the waiter comes and hands her the money saying that the food was a great hit and that her culinary services are required the next day as well. Bani goes to the picture of Lord Hanuman and prays in front of it. Dadi catches one of the waiters and asks him to take her to the cook. On being asked why she says that she wants to meet the person who was able to bring a smile to Jai's face after such a long time. Dadi goes to the kitchen and sees Bani there( who doesn't see her as she's praying with closed eyes). Dadi thinks that she must tell Jai.
Karuna sees Dadi running after Jai and asks her why she's in such a hurry, is she being chased by stray dogs. Dadi tells her that she saw Bani. Karuna is shocked and tells her that its not possible. She then tells Dadi to take her. On the way Karuna is stalled by some guests while Dadi sees JW talking to a man. Karuna comes and they carry on. But Bani is not there, its someone else who turns around. Karuna insults Dadi telling her that this is what happens when you approach death, and tells her that the next time she wastes Karuna's time, Karuna will make sure that will be the end of her. She leaves and Dadi tells herself what a big mistake she was going to do by telling everyone about Bani. She thanks God that she overheard JW's conversation with the man who was telling him that the family had become penniless and only one person remained living from hand to mouth (obviously the Randherias). Jai gives a satisfied smirk and the man begins telling him about Bani, but Jai cuts him off viciously telling him that he doesn't want to hear one word about Bani. Dadi comes back to present and thinks that Jai still has so much hatred in him for Bani. She sees Bani washing utensils. A woman comes and gives Bani water but Dubeyji comes and begins yelling at her that she must finish washing up if she wants payment. Bani tells him that she'll finish quickly, she needs the payment and her desperation shows. Dadi has tears in her eyes as she wonders when Bani's troubles will end, how many more times will she have to keep proving herself.
Post party all are clearing up. Bani looks for Ganga and goes out looking for her. Ganga is standing watching a father taking his daughter piggy back and she is crying. Bani sees her and realizes Ganga's thoughts. As Ganga sees her mother she quickly wipes her tears. They walk away and Ganga asks Bani whether her father loves her at all. Bani asks her why she feels this way. Ganga tells her that its been so long but her father has never come to meet her.She asks Bani what she's done wrong to be deprived of her father. Bani hugs her and tells her that the fault is not hers. Her father loves her but he doesn't know where she is and hugs her. Over her mother's shoulder Ganga sees a shooting star and thinks that Maasi's told her that if you wish on a shooting star it comes true. She wishes that once just once her father finds her and hugs her tight. Episode ends.

2. Why are Karuna and Jigz so badly brought up. They treat Dadi so rudely. And have all the WM gang taken maun vrat?? Why don't they ever speak??
