swati

Swati behena,

And in spite of all these age related problems your sweet Munni was planning to marry a guy who was old enuff to be her Nanu and she was not even in love with him. 😆

I am not talking about fertility issues and stuff here, I am talking abt the working of a marriage.

BTW Swati, JB doesn't have an age difference of more than 20 years? She was 23 when he was 40, so there you go. 😉

Age difference in marriages has been there since ages…I f you ask me the ideal marriage that I hav seen…like the one perfect marriage for me had 15 yrs age difference….so this argument of age diff b/w couples really does not make sense to me…I for one would suggest that there should be an age diff…not too much but yes 6/8 yrs is ideal…Men mature late (if they ever do) than a girl…and in a marriage maturity of the two partners is of extreme importance…then they can understand…tolerate…and respect each other's view…I have seen too many…and believe me too many marriages ending up in divorce on small issues…because of immaturity on one or both partners…

But having said that…too much age difference in present time can cause problems too…coz as I feel the generation gap issue is closing down now…earlier it was b/w parents and children because society did not change so fast…thoughts were stable but now I see all that changing…a person 8/10 yrs younger to me has a completely diff view point…his ideologies are diff…the way he thinks is diff…

So what I am trying to say is that I am very confused about this right now….but if two ppl really love each other, understand each other and do things FOR each other then age should not matter…then actually nothing else matter…they can live happily ever after…Amen

Generally 3 - 5 years of age is acceptable between a man and woman.

But age is more in the mind than in the body. Some people are born mature, some people are immature even they are sixty.

Bani is very mature for her age. She and Jai have a classic romance that is sheer pleasure to watch. I watched Kayamath today at a friend's recommendation. Although the love story of Prachi and Milind was nice, it didn't have the same effect on me as just a look between Jai and Bani.

To hell with age! That's what I say! If they are happy together, let them be! Makes me happy too! 😆

Sangitadas, there is n need of saying that you were not talking about fertaility and that staff.

Discussing the topic about age difference in a marriage, may lead to another related topics.

So, even fertility and production is a topic related to the topic you have raised.

Dear Sang

Catherine Zeta Jones and Micheal Douglas have 25 years age difference and they have one of the most stable marriages in Hollywood...I read Catherine's interview once where she could think of a life without Micheal...but then people there even get divorced after 25 years of married life.

Personally for me I think it is the mental vibe which matter most, in India many people stay married because of social pressure but pressure, no pressure age difference do not guarantee happy married life...the divorce rates are high nowadays where age difference is not much and as mostly people are getting married to their friends/ classmates etc....in marriage patience and adjustment matter most alongwith maturity, of course physical relation is there and important too but then with time it diminishes what remains in a sense of understanding and contenment...

As far as Arushi is concerned she can go to hell...yesterday JW was looking very sexy in yellow kurta, almost back to his former self...I don't know how can anyone call someone like him uncle and old 😡 😡 Love Tin

My father-in-law remarried after my mother-in-law passed away. He was 40 at the time. His second wife was 20. They have been married for the last 34 years. And I would rate it as a successful marriage.

Tinny, I agree. That girl must be blind 😉😆

Arwax, its an issue alright. What I meant is that i was trying to highlight the understanding aspect only. of course fertility and other factors do come in in a married life.
