I think that todays episode was excellent and the long awaited return of Pushkar was one of the things that made it great!
The look (shades and longer hair) does actually make the guy look more villainish compared to his usual style. And you are right in saying that the guy was acting somewhat more formal and distant than usual... it does all point to him taking a negetive turn.
Even if there is another reason as to why Pushkar would be against Jai, from what has been shown so far in the series, Pushkar does have enough reasons for turning negetive... I mean, Jai caused Pushkar a lot of trouble when the guy married Pia.
Also, it can be argued that Jai had a major hand in Pushkar's marriage breaking up... firstly back in the time where Jai got Roshni Chopra to fire Pushkar from work (that caused Pia to walk out on Pushkar the first time), and secondly the ONS.
If Pushkar is indeed the new bad guy, then I think it would be quite cool...
However, there is also a chance that the creatives are doing that trick where they mislead the audience into thinking that Pushkar is a bad guy - just like they once did with Aditya!
Let's just wait to see what happens 😊
