Thanks for all the sweet comments once again! Here is the next part... even though I don't update everyday or everyother day, I try to make my parts long whenever I do update.

----Part 6--------

That night after the test was over, Bani was back in the kitchen cooking for everyone and this time since she was in a good mood she cooked everything that Mr. Walia loved. Dadaji had told her that he was throwing a party tonight for a special reason. Everyone in the house was busy planning and deciding how they wanted to make all this happen at such a short notice.

--Roshni's House—

Roshni's thoughts: There is a party at Mr. Walia's house today, and I plan on getting everything tonight. This pill will get everything for me. It will make all my wishes come true, it will finally make Mr. Walia mine.

--Walia Mansion—

Bani went upstairs and found a sari and some bangles on nthe bed and on top of that was a small note.

Bani,

You deserve this for everything you have done. Take this as a small gift from me.

Bani looked at it, it was a simple white sari but there was something about it that appealed to her. She picked it up and looked at the kangans that shone on her wrist. Just then Dadi came in.

Dadi: Beta, I am so glad Jai finally gave you those kangans.

Bani: These kangans?

Dadi: Yah, they were his mothers and he has kept them really safe till now. It's about time he gave it to you as you deserve them now.

Bani: Oh.

Dadi: He once told me when he was very young that he will give it to the woman he loves. I don't think he remembers that anymore but that is what he feels for you now.

Bani didn't know how much of that to take to heart since Dadi had no idea about the circumstances of their marriage. She finished decorating the entire house and went to Dadaji.

Bani: Dadaji, what is the reason for this party? I mean…

Dadaji: I think you are being a perfect bahu, but you are lacking one thing in being the best wife.

Bani: I am… what?

Dadaji: It's Jai's birthday today.

Bani: But… but he never told me.

Dadaji: He doesn't like to celebrate his birthday that much, keeps it low key.

Bani: But he should have told me…

Dadaji: Now that you know. What do you plan on getting him?

Bani: I… honestly don't know.

Bani got up and went into her own room, it was hard to decide what to get him. She got an idea and called up a bunch of her friends and even Anu. The plans were under control and it was all set, Jai would be surprised at the party.

After a long day at work, Jai finally got some time to settle down. He knew he was going to be a little late tonight and decided to give Bani a call to let her know. They had become part of each other's schedule. Bani always waited for Jai before eating dinner, and Jai always tried to take her out at least once a week for lunch or for dinner. Jai picked up his phone but Bani didn't pick up the phone but rather it went straight to the answering machine. No one picked up on the home phone either, Jai wondered what was going on. By the time he finished his work, he realized that he should get home as it was already 8:30 and he hadn't told Bani he was going to come late.

When he went outside his room, the entire place was quiet and it seemed like no one was around. He was confused but figured that since it was Friday, everyone had decided to go home earlier then usual. But what astonished him was that his car and his driver weren't outside. Jai Walia had no way to get home especially since none of the family members were picking up their phones.

Right outside the Walia Industries stood a big limousine waiting for someone. The driver got out of the car and came to Jai.

Driver: Mr. Walia, please sit. (pointing to the limo)

Jai: Who sent this?

Driver: I haven't been told anything but just ask you to go with me.

Jai: Fine, let's go.

At the arrival of the Walia Mansion, Jai saw that it was flowing with media and people, which made him worried (he had forgotten his own birthday so he never thought of the possibility). He got out of the car and was followed by the media taking pictures and finally opened the door to his house. It was fully decorated in a very simple but elegant manner. It looked perfect, homely but fashionable. There was a big sign on top of the railing of the top, that read "Happy Birthday Mr. Walia." Jai remembered the day and within seconds was surrounded by so everyone.

Everyone was there, except one person, Bani. His eyes searched for her but couldn't find her.

Jai: Dadaji, where is Bani?

Dadaji: I think she is on the roof upstairs.

Jai: Roof? What is she doing there?

Dadaji: Why don't you go find out.

Jai went up the stairs and told the media not to follow him as this was his private property inside his house. He opened the door to the roof and found a table for two nicely decorated and on top of it was a small cake. Bani stood on one corner with her hair down and staring out into the city wearing the white sari he had given her. When she turned around, she looked like an angel on earth!

Jai: Bani, what is all this?

Bani: Shh…

Jai: What?

Bani: Can you hear that?

Jai: What? The cars coming into the driveway?

Bani: No, listen harder.

Jai: There is music.

Bani: Yup, let's dance.

Jai: Bani, there is a party going on downstairs we should be there.

Bani: Fine, go.

Jai: Why don't you want to come down as well?

Bani: Because this was supposed to be a surprise party but then the media somehow heard about it, how can it be a surprise when you come home and find half of Mumbai here.

Jai: Well, I had forgotten my birthday so its still a surprise.

Bani: But its not the same thing, oh well, fine let's go. Once we go downstairs, you will get lost in the crowd and I wont be able to wish my husband properly.

Jai: Fine, wish him now.

Bani: Happy Birthday Mr. Walia.

Jai: Thank you Bani.

Bani: Cut this cake. I know there is a bigger and better one downstairs but I just made this in the morning so at least taste it.

Jai went over and blew the candles and cut the cake while Bani sang Happy Birthday. He fed Bani and Bani did the same thing.

Jai: This is a really good cake. The best I have ever eaten.

Bani: Okay, you don't need to fake praise me.

Jai: No seriously, this is fabulous.

Bani: Thank you.

Jai: Well I guess we should be getting downstairs now.

Bani: Yah, go ahead go. I will come in a few minutes.

Jai: Okay, don't be too late.

Jai went out the door leaving Bani standing there and smiling to herself. Her mind flowing with joy because she had just realized what she was feeling, she was in love with Mr. Walia. Just then there was a knock on the roof door and Bani went to open the door and standing there was Bani's best friend, Pushkar.

Bani: Oh my God, Pushkar I am so glad you are here. I have to tell you something.

Pushkar: What is it?

Bani: I am in love.

Pushkar: Wait? What?

Bani: I love Mr. Walia, Pushkar.

Pushkar: Well duh.

Bani: Huh?

Pushkar: It's all over your face. I saw your picture from yesterday (the valentine's party) and your face was glowing and you were smiling at Jai sir, of course you love him.

Bani: Oh Pushkar what am I going to do? He doesn't love me and this is all fake …

Pushkar: You should probably look at his picture closely too, he too is smiling back totally glowing. He loves you just doesn't know it.

Bani: But…

Pushkar: He just doesn't know it yet, but he does.

Bani: Oh Pushkar, I am so happy.

Pushkar pulls Bani into a friendly hug. While resting on his chest, a tear falls down of Bani's face.

Pushkar: What's wrong?

Bani: If he doesn't love me back, I think I will break.

Pushkar: No, you wont. Don't worry about it!

Bani: Let's go downstairs.

Bani and Pushkar went down the stairs together and all the media people were busy snapping pictures. Bani found her way to Jai who smiled at seeing her.

Jai: Took you some time.

Pushkar: I kept her from coming.

Bani: Time to cut the real cake?

Jai: If it's even half as good as yours, I am ready to cut it.

Bani blushed and asked Tony to bring the cake out. Jai blew the candles and started cutting the cake while everyone sang the happy birthday song. The first person he fed it to was Dadaji and then he turned around to feed Bani. They both fed each other and Roshni watched furiously from far away.

Dadaji: Allright Bani, sing.

Bani: What?!

Dadaji: Come on, ever since you have been 16, you have been singing, so why not now? Sing something for Jai.

Jai: You sing?

Bani: Well… yah but not that well.

Jai: I will be the judge of that. Sing for me.

Bani: But…

Jai: Please…

Bani reluctantly went to the stage area and picked up the mike.

Bani: What song?

Dadaji: Anything that comes from your heart.

Bani: Well, if I am going to make a fool out of myself why doesn't someone else join me?

Dadaji: Because if Jai puttar started to sing, everyone would run away.

Bani smiled and looked straight at Jai and thought about how much she loved him. She couldn't control her happiness and sang something that expressed exactly that.

Bani finished the song but never did she move her eyes once from the man she was singing this song for. Jai didn't look anywhere else either but rather his entire attention was on the most beautiful person in the room, Bani.

The song ended and when people started clapping was when they realized where they were. Bani walked down and everyone was impressed and praising her.

Jai: Bani, you never told me you can sing like that!

Bani: Well, I guess it never came up.

Jai: Why don't you sing?

Bani: I do, when I am making dinner, or when I am home alone.

Jai: No, I mean for the world, for movies and things.

Bani: No way, do you know how good those people are, I would nevere stand a chance.

Just then a guy approached Bani and extended his hand for a handshake.

Mr. Khan: Mrs. Walia, that was fantastic! I am a music director and I was looking for a lead singer for one of my songs and after hearing you, I have to tell you that you would be perfect for that.

Bani: Mr. Khan, that is flattering but I can't.

Jai: Why not Bani?

Bani: But Mr. Walia

Jai: At least give it a try.

Bani: Fine, Mr. Khan what are your requirements? Because my first priority is my family and then my job and I can do this in the middle of all that.

Mr. Khan: Well, you have to be pretty committed to this but I guess if you want to do one or two songs every once in a while then that's fine.

Bani: Okay, we will deal with the details later as this is my husband's birthday party and I would like to talk no business for now.

Mr. Khan: It was nice to meet you, here is my card.

Bani: Thanks.

Jai was impressed with the way Bani had handled Mr. Khan and was also touched by everything she said. Instinctively, he asked her for a dance and the two of them were once again in the spotlight but neither of them noticed anyone else.

After the song ended, Roshni came and stood right next to them.

Roshni: Mr. Walia!

Jai: Hi Roshni. You have met my wife right?

Roshni: Of course, how are you doing Bani?

Bani: Fine, and you?

Roshni: Good.

Bani: Would you excuse me, Dadaji is calling. I will be right back Mr. Walia.

Roshni was glad, this was the perfect moment, she had instructed the waiter two glasses of orange soda for them, each with something special in it (a drug to intoxicate Jai—a lot like what happened in the show). The waiter came and Jai took one and before Roshni could take the other one, Bani came back and took it.

Bani: Sorry Roshni, I am really thirsty, I will get you another one.

Roshni: No, I am fine.

Jai and Bani both drank it and neither of them knew what was in it. Bani had never had anything so strong before and after two sips she didn't want it any longer. She stopped drinking but Jai finished his entire cup. Roshni smiled that at least Jai drank it, that was all that was necessary. After Bani's friends came and dragged her away, Jai was stuck alone with Roshni. He felt as if his head was heavy but he tried to balance himself. He almost fell when Roshni caught him and was taking him to a room.

Bani: What's wrong?

Roshni (annoyed): nothing, he fell sick so I figured I might as well take him to the room.

Bani: No, it's fine. I will do it.

Roshni (her plan failing): No! I mean it's fine I can do it, you take care of the guests.

Bani (realizing somewhat of what was happening): No, I have got him Roshni, you can go now.

Bani took Jai to the room.

Bani: Mr. Walia, are you allright?

Jai: Yah, I am fine.

Bani: Okay, then why don't you get some sleep. I will be right back with some medicine.

Bani turned around and was walking out of the room when she felt a pull. She turned around to see Jai was holding the corner of her sari palu. He pulled her closer, and Bani a little scared and really nervous went closer.
