Hi readers, here let me make an announcement, the main theme of this story was given to me by TCP#10 aka Purno and it's as per her request I'm writing this FF. so, this part is dedicated to her ....and, it's also dedicated to Shiya, sorry yaar, i wouldn't be able to update on 29, going somewhere, so i updated today even there's no plan for me to update...hope you'll like it

Part Seven-B






Jai was coming back home from college, last day of HSC exam, what a relief. He's unmindful as usual. He's some works to do. One month before results. He's to convince his Dad, he doesn't want to read engineering. Well, the cause is not that reasonable, he himself has to agree. He simply doesn't want anything to do that his bloody brother has done.

He wanted to study further on business management; statistic is his best subject after all. It would be hard to convince his father that. He sometimes behaves like a stubborn kid, refusing to see any point.

He was so engrossed in his thought that he almost jumped hearing a voice shout shrilly. A woman was shouting like crazy. Her son was standing in the middle of the road. A car was approaching from the other side.

Jai didn't hesitate to pull the boy back. The boy was safe. But Jai got hit on his head as he dived to avoid the car. A sharp pang on his head was killing him. His hand automatically went on his head, blood was oozing like anything.



Jai woke up with a start. Since he's been met that accident, he keeps having the event as nightmares. The heavy sedating injections weren't helping either. He felt like he's drowning into some deep slumber. His head wasn't clear.

He didn't realize what was happening to him. That was a minor wound as far as he remembers. He was having a strange feeling that the medicines he was being given was making him feel worse than recovering him.

Bani absentmindly ran her finger through her locket again and again, trying to remember when she first got it.


"Bani beta, dekho yeh pendant tomhare liye hai, kitni pyari hai na?"

Bani eagerly took it. She observed it carefully. Yes it was too beautiful. In the shape of a rain drop, made of diamond, in between there was engraved two words in calligraphy. JB.

"it's nice mom, apne design kiya?" asked a 8 years old chirpy Bani.

Bani's mom was a semi-professional designer of both dresses and jwellaries. She smiled, "Maine kiya aur nehi bhi kiya." She said to her pretty young daughter.

'mom, why the J thing? I don't have J in my name?' asked Bani demandingly.

"oh, you'll know it's significance later Baby. Keep it safe ok? Don't loose it in any account."



From that day Bani has spent many hours wondering what J stands for. She came to know about it after her mother died, from her diary.

When Kiran was younger she had a best friend named Krishna. They lived in some village together. They were like sisters, inseparable. But one day both their parents decided to move on from the village. The girls were sad to be parted from each other.

They quickly made a childhood deal like that when Krishna will have son, she'll name him Jai and Kiran will name her daughter Bani. Together they designed two pendants with the words JB and promised that when they'll be able, they'll make these pendants in real life and get their children married together.

Kiran took one design and Krishan took the other one...tearing the page, tearing their heart and promising to join their children with the same love.....

Since then, they never ever met again. But Kiran kept her promise by making the pendant and giving it to Bani. Bani never paid any account to this story, but she loved the pendant. It's so beautiful.

But now, she was confused. Was it him? There could be hundred of people named Jai. But she couldn't understand the bond between them, they've just met once, and still she feels like she's connected to him beyond birth? Was it the connection their mothers made?

It was the end of another school day. Bani and Pri was heading towards Bani's home. They however were distracted as they saw Anu, sitting on swing, howling like anything. Bani and Pri shared a glance. Anu was their friend, not so close one but she was a nice girl. There was Pia and Rano with her. Rano was trying her best to quiet Anu while Pia seemed to enjoying the situation.

Bani and Pri approached her. Seeing them, Anu's howling grew. Bani was confused, Anu is very cheerful girl usually, what happened to her. "What's wrong with you, dear?" asked she concernedly.

"How can he do it" gasped Anu between tears.

"Who did what to you?" asked Pri. She was annoyed the way Pia was rolling with laughter. God! How I used to be friends with this girl, thought she.

Anu took a poor attempt to wipe her tears, "Tahsan! He married Mithila! How could he!"

Bani was relieved, "oh, this, I thought something serious happened."

(A/N: for the ones who doesn't know Tahsan is a vocal of a band of Bangladesh ,who is famous among girls mostly because of his handsome looks rather than his singing quality. He married a Model called Mithila, disappointing many of his admirers.)

"it isn't serious?" demanded Anu angrily.

"yeah, yeah, it's drop dead serious." Snorted Pia.

Pri glared at her. Since Pri has made friends with Bani, there have been a cold war running between Pri and Pia. Pia doesn't like Bani a bit. Probably because Bani was prettier than her. Pri ruffled Anu's hair, "don't cry, hunn. What's the point?"

"I loved him" said Anu with teary eyes.

Pri sat beside her, "Hunn, it's not always necessary that the one you love will love you back,"

"just like our Pri, hah? Head over heels in love with some one and deciding to love him till the end of her days while knowing that he doesn't pay two hoots worth attention to her.Love of a different world, huh!" Snorted Pia.

Bani saw the colors drained of from her friends face. Her eyes were moist. Bani felt like Pri was going to burst out crying. But Pri was a strong girl. She controlled her tears, stood up and glared at Pia. Bani was tensed, she thought Pri was going to slap Pia. But she didn't.

"Bani, I'm going, coming?" said Pri meekly and left without waiting for an answer. Bani watched her friend walking fast towards the car, she glared at Pia. She wanted to strangle her but felt that right now going after Pri is much necessary. Bani ran to catch up with Pri.

The whole way from school to Bani's house, Pri was sitting like a statue. That didn't suit her. She was always cheery and playful. Pri didn't utter a single word throughout the whole evening. Bani knew that attempting to talk her will make things worse. So she remained quiet also.

On the dinner table, both Raj and Payel Dixit were surprised to find the girls quiet. "what's wrong with you girls?" asked Payel. But Bani brushed it away saying that it was just tiredness, they had been working hard this week.

Later, Bani found Pri staring at the night sky. Her eyes were glistening. She went to stand beside her in the balcony, Bani slowly put a hand on her shoulder. Pri didn't react.

"is it my fault, Bani that I can't help falling for him?" asked Pri after a long silence.

"Don't take account of Pia's nuisance Pri."

"she was right, wasn't she? He's never gonna love me, probably he doesn't even know how I look like properly, and I can't help thinking about him, loving him. What a fool I am, huh!"

"You have never told him," Bani tried to raise hope, "may be there's a chance."

Pri smiled, "tell him? I can imagine what will he do. He'll just scratch his head and think what happened, then after he realizes, he'll try to make me understand me how he never thought more than a sister thing of me."

Bani sighed, "then what's your point? Move on, you are positive that there's no hope for the two of you, then..?"

"You don't understand Bani, you won't understand. From the first day I fell for him, I've known I've got no chance for him. I've known he'll never feel the same way, I've known that I-I don't deserve him. But that doesn't change anything. I love him, I love with all my heart and will be loving him for the rest of my life. Whatever happens to me, whoever comes to my life, none can take his place in my heart."

Pri paused for a second then added, "Know what Bani? I never dreamt of having him, it's not like that. That's why it isn't a crush or infuriation, it's just love. It's late, I'm going to sleep. We'll talk later."

Bani watched her friend going, speechless.

Pri jumps in the bed, hiding her face in the pillow. Yes, she was strong, but not that strong. She broke down crying. Why it happened to me? Why do I love him? I don't want to but I do.

Loved the update Brishty. Felt sad for Pri's condition. She has an inkling that she loves Jai so much and he probably does not even think about her in those terms at all. But on a brighter note, I can't wait for the day when Jai and Bani will acknowledge their love for each other and fulfill their respective mother's dreams of uniting their children in marriage. 😊

Wonderful update dear 👏😃and I saw the hint that you gave. Yes the whole Bani - Jai - Pri situation is a catch 22 one, if friendship does not come in between Jai does and vice versa.

Poor Pri, feel so sorry for her, but not everyone in this world gets the one they love.That my dear is life.
