Why always Bihar?????

Why Biharis. Yes why is that every one makes fun of Bihar or Biharis. We are not that bad as it's portrayed in movies and serials. We know Fit from shit and pot from Hot.

It has become a SLANG (GALI) for most of India. In New delhi educated people use to treat this word as a slang. In Delhi University we were known as 'The Harries" and looked down upon.

I understand that the picture of bihar has been maligned because of some Local Gundas and Politicians but that does not mean that all biharies are uneducated or bad.

Why do we always talk of the bad, why can we never see the good side of Bihar. People like Mahavir, Gautam Buddha, Chanayakya, Ashoka, Dr Rajendra Prashad, Ramdhari singh Dinkar to name a few were from Bihar.

The toppers in UPSC exams are biharis. I have seen some high ranking officers in the Indian Civil Services who are from Bihar.

I think I am just rambeling here but maine Dil pe le liya yaar. Why Bihar Why any state for that matter. You can have the same characters without naming any state.

I would love every one to look at Bihar with a bit more Respect. People still live there and have lot of love for Bihar.

People are so prejudiced. Bihar may be facing a lot of problems but that's no
reason to make fun of Biharis like this.

are yaar we make fun of ourselves but then there is a limit to it, ab dont make us look like abs duffers yaar, that also on national telivision, we hav some politicians to do that already.

Yep right but then which state is not, every state has its own problems but in India coz it happened in Bihar it is highlighted more coz ppl take interest in it, it becomes the next joke or talk of the town.

Jokes aside, the stereo typing is bad yaar, you and I had a talk about this a couple of weeks ago - you know people from my state are portrayed as computer geeks who don't understand any Hindi....

But be cool, political correctness is something people teach but don't practice, even in US, westerners are considered the health conscious, democrats who are too liberal, the northerners/easterners are considered loud, obnoxious and conservative, the southerners are considered backward - so there is no winning wherever you are from!!

But we should send an email to KS folks that you are there to beat up any bihar bashers with cricket bat or baseball bat! If you need any help let me know, I will come up with my belans and my broomstick too!! Did I tell you I have a cousin who is married to a Bihari?
