So I have developed an intense hatred for the character of Massi but I wonder if that is because I am such a JW despo. If Bani was my daughter or I was Bani would I hate the actions that Massi has taken? Cheating husbands usually get the support of there indulgent mummies and the wives are left homeless if they do not want to forgive the husband. In massi's case she heard her munna accept that Pia's baby was his. She saw his Jaigiri and so she decided to support in her eyes the wronged party. We all want her to support munna based on her past association with him and because he is her son. We expect her to negate what she saw and heard. Not focusing on the overdramatization that KS did was massi right in her unilateral support of Bani and buthchering of Jai?

I am playing devil's advocate her so Pri please no belans.

Hi
I do not think its just the fact that they support jai from what i gather is that its because she went the top with her reactions. I think she did as well though i agree with most of her actions.Even tarun i think was right in his place giving bani the strength however when Jai came back to the house and considering banis having his baby..both massi and tarun need to back up and let bani and jai sort things out and decide for themselvs.

What Mausi did was right......most of us just refuse to except it because of JW (Gosh we are despos!😆)

Though I don't understand.......has she forgiven and accepted her munna?.....Or simply ignored the truth behind the ONS?

Mayi needs a good old confrontation scene to clearly reveal the feelings of each family member......until that, I can't decide who I hate, and who I don't!😕

Meg,

I think we all hate Massi because being a mother to Jai for so long, how could she not see the truth in his eyes. Or ask him what happened instead of doing an outright sharad for him. For me that was too much. And then after all that behaving so....rudely with him.

Thus I have started disliking her. And after finding the truth from Karuna she still did not go up to him and ask for forgivenss or appolgized for cursing him or doing his sharad.

Love

Krishna

Meg,

No belans, relax. We can always exchange views peacefully without doing each others shraddha. 😉

If she had purely supported Bani and thrown out Munna from the house, perhaps I would not have objected too much in fact appreciated her conduct as a mil of an aggrieved wife. But it was the sure violence of her conduct as Munna's mom which put me off. I think I explained the same in a post called "Crime and Punishment". Briefly the objection to her kartoot was on the following grounds:

Not giving the convict a chance to say something.
Punishment given out of line with the crime.
The past track record of the convict is usually taken into account.
The convict' state of mind at the time of the crime is taken into account.

You can still say that waht happened was under a moment of extreme anger but what about her conduct post Jan 5. She was a witness to JW's remorse and also his attempts to save Bani's life and yet she persisted in abusing and insulting him. Even now that it is established that he was drugged, yet she has yet to tender any regret let alone an apology for what she has done.

Same can be said about her conduct pre-ONS where was she when Banigiri was tearing Munna apart bit by bit.

Rgds,

Pri

Megha, we dont hate maasi because she supported Bani! As a saas, u wouldnt find a better one 😉 ! But we hate her because she failed as a mom! She was the one who brought him up, taught sanskars and she has seen the pain which her son went thru and also been equally with him in his happiness! He has actually stayed with his unwanted wife for her sake which she is aware of, inspite of that she couldnt understand nor believe JW and she failed miserably as a mother! And doing shraddh was the biggest sin any mom can do 😡 ! So we hate her because she didnt trust her own parvarish!

meghna the reason for this intense disliking towards massi stems from certain facts
every person accused of a crime gets a chance for explaination before being convicted
her faith broke at the first instance and was never restored till her estranged daughter intervened inspite of the fact she brought him up like a son
she was the person supporting bani in banigiri and even saw munna break but never told him the entire truth till calamity hit
even after everything she has never found the need to apologize to him
she cursed him and performed his shradh agreed was very angry so now the truth out what exactly has she done to undo the curse or the shradh
she went a step further blaming munna for bani's miscarriage
she has never consoled him which was only offered by karuna who meets him after 20 yrs
her actions dialogues all show the amount of faith she has on munna......
i think the reasons are enough and it has nothing to do with being a jai despo

and meg this comes from the fact that she was his mother.....a relation bigger than all other relationships

yes meg, krishna, we do not hate massi because we love jai or any one else... but can any mother kill her child for a wrong doing? he was not a spoilt rat at all... the rituals and things like shradd we do in real life with utter pain and hesitance.. a death even if it is of rivals is never accepted with happy mind... nor with an hatred filled heart... there we accepts the truth the person is no more and we never back out of wishing his soul in peace after death... and what she used that action... for a living person... we can understand the pain if she thrown him out... wrong actions should be hated not the person... unless he is a born bad person... even in those case mothers can never do it... so much so for walia khandan ladies... i don't mind he throws the same attitude to massi too... let him never give her chance to appologise including bani... he should not give an ear for them any more... for sometime he should live like that king walia... dixit clan successfully destroyed the walia name for giving them shelter... now i feel jiggy was right... and for first time i am happy for sahil for giving bani a piece of his mind... whatever he said is true... i don't mind now what he is...

now next twist is fight between rano and bani... the seed is already under the soil and getting watered everyday....
