we stop calling Roshni Chopra a reptile?

Roshni also has fans in the forum and she is a member herself and checks on posts here.

I have seen some posts recently where everybody is calling her one. If you guys think she looks like a reptile I also think that other actors also look like some other animals..

Please understand the feeling of the fans..

Memsaab,

With all due respect, who is calling Roshni Chopra , the person and the ACTOR a Reptile/Black Widow Spider/ Bhikmangi etc.?? I personally am referring to the CHARACTER of "Pia" based on the character's ACTIONS and not the ACTOR. Similarly, we call the CHARACTER of Jai Walia "Buddha", "Raging Bull", "Cuddles" etc., Bani as "Superwoman," "St. Bani", Billo Massi as "Hitler," "the Great Wall", "Billi" etc., Tarun Sablok's character as "Skunk", "Vikil Bahu", Puskhar as "Pooch"among others. It is in no which way directed to the actors but the fictional characters.

memsaab,
i completely agree with kajolfan that we don't call roshni chopra as reptile but we have given that name to pia and i don't find it wrong in anyway as this is the real character of pia per story. tell me why no one is having problem when someone calls jai walia lion.

Dear Memsaab,

When calling Pai or any one else names, we (Ksians) only refer to their screen character and not the Actors themselves. One can't deny the extremely strong emotions some of the characters in KS evoke in us Ksians, be it undying love or hatred. The colourful names that are created for these characters portray the depth of our feelings for the serial. The forum will become insipid if we have to stop.

Unless I am explicitly told not to - I for one will continue to bash and use vibrant names of the KS characters whom I despise and in the same tone continue to shower love on the one who is my JAAN. Again, the expletives that I will use are only aimed at certain characters and not at any of the Actors.

SONIA.

The rules did clearly state that NO name calling will be allowed. This whole "reptile" issue has been going on a while now, but you need to make sure that this is limited to the CHARACTER only. In fact, I don't exactly approve of Pia being called names like this but I can't seem to control that word in members posts.

Make sure Roshni's name isn't insulted in anyway.

to react to a character is our right and as long as it is not crossing the limits it is fine too...

Yep- Rani is right.. its only the characters we actually bash. I mean we made fun of Jigs all the time, but we really loved Ashwini, right? Same with Rakhshanda- we called her Cobra, but some of us would give our right foots to have her back as a vamp! Its only their characters, not the actors!

Memsaab,

Completley agree with Rani, Sonia, Farah, Harveen, Swati and the rest we are not calling Roshni Chopra by any names whats so ever, we are calling the character she plays the name "Reptile".

Hope the whole issue is cleared. And we as Kasian do have a right to wnet our fustrations on the characters for sure.

Regards
Krishna

Totally agree with you. Actors are playing characters that are fictional and calling these fictional characters names are harmless. Jai, Bani, Raashi etc are good characters therefore people tend to give them good nick-names, but Pia is a negative character and so people will give her a back nick-name. Nothing is wrong with referring these nick-names to the character and not to the person portraying the character. So I see nothing wrong in that
