Why cant JW???

Why cant JW cry and breakdown infront of his love Bani. I can bet anything that any woman (no matter who) will not be able to see her love breaking down. That is the best way to confess your deed and bring her back to life. Why is he killing himself by hurting Bani more. Isnt it too much for everyone to see this for so many weeks, why cant they two talk it out and be happy?
