Jai: sweet heart is there a problem is that why you are so upset? We will go to another doctor and get an expert opinion.
Bani: I am not sick jai I am pregnant again.
Jai: So tell me
Bani: God this is such an embarrassment.
Jai: Please Bani you are married and a mother of two kids what is there to be embarrassed about becoming pregnant again.
Bani: you really don't get it do you. Then let me spell it out for you. It has been only three months since the doctor has given me a clean bill of health and that I could go back to my old self and do you know I am six weeks pregnant already.
Jai: So we will have another child in 8 months.
Bani: Jai now really you are the limits.
Jai: Bani will you relax and tell me what is the exact problem instead of walking up and down. You might hurt yourself.
Bani: Jai please I am not that crippled wife of yours.
Jai: Bani not again all that old stuff.
Bani: so you want to know about the new thing that is happening well for starters today I fainted in the middle of the meeting with the client and Pushkar almost had a fit. He had called everyone at home as he couldn't get through to you thankfully only Adi uncle came to the hospital. You know what their first reaction to the news was. Pushkar said OH god not again must tell everyone in the office to get the stage ready and rushed to inform the whole staff of the news and Adi uncle while bringing me home said for someone who started out late in life he has picked up very quickly the family scenario.
Jai: I am going to wring that Pushkar's and Adi's neck.
Bani: Well then you will have to wring everyone's neck after all the teasing I had to put up with from each member of the household till massi came to my rescue.
Jai: No wonder they were all waiting down the hall. I can bet they are just waiting to see the fire works now. They are in for something else.
Bani: Jai I am not going down there to listen anymore to that bickering. I just can't believe my own sister's comment she quotes Rano "Di at this age and date what was the hurry you could have waited there are means for it you know" can you believe it I am getting advice from my younger sister on birth control.
Jai: For your information your sister is in the field of medicine and all she thinks about is promoting her scientific knowledge. Seriously she needs some deviation and I thought Pushkar was good choice but always the books get an upper hand with that sister of yours. I don't know from were I will find a brainy guy for her.
Bani: I don't think I can tolerate one more science geek in the family as it is Rano drives me nuts. Please and Pushkar is madly in love with her and that super brain of hers cannot register a simple fact.
Jai: So we will work up on those two. I can't wait to get hold of them for upsetting my lovely wife and goes to kiss her.
Bani: stop it Jai you start off with this a kiss and finally I end up getting pregnant.
Jai: that's gross Bani a kiss doesn't get you pregnant.
Bani: I didn't ask for a graphic description of how to get pregnant please. May be you can tutor Anu and Sahil on that.
Jai: Now why do I get the feeling my nephew and niece have got you upset or they were supposed to be your pets.
Bani: My pets. God Anu and Sahil would like to follow your advice so that they can get their dream partners according to them you are a fast worker on that subject. And your sister was of the opinion thank god for small mercies one wild one in the family is enough we don't require a team of them.
Jai: Come on Bani you know she is just jealous of me.
Bani: Well I don't find the situation at all funny tomorrow I don't know how I am going to go the office and face everyone.
Jai: Why not.
Bani: Pushkar called me late afternoon and said everyone of them have started digging out their candy boxes it seems they are waiting for the goodies I give them for loosing my temper at them.
Jai: Well more than them there is one person down stairs waiting for that Tarun your biggest fan.
Bani: what? Tarun is going to pay dearly for all this when Lakshmi is pregnant I swear.
Jai: That's my Bani so shall we go for a long drive and a dinner outside the city.
Bani: Fine but no touching and kissing.
Jai: Then what's the fun, better stay at home only.
Bani: I should have known when you suggested the long drive. One of those long drives is what got me to this situation.
Jai: But you love kids and we have to make a football team remember.
Bani: never. No way this is the last time I get pregnant.
Jai: never say never. You don't know what's in store for the future.
Bani: In the near future it's a big no.
Jai: Are we going to have twins this time too.
Bani: What Jai have not you had enough with the first set god I still don't get a hang of doing things here and now another set of twins.
Jai: relax that was just a wishful thinking but I know it's a bit taxing considering the fact that I have to take care of the mother more than the babies.
Bani: what? that was because I had the accident.
Jai: Come on Bani Accident or no accident you love the way I pamper you and you wait for it.
Bani: who said so?
Jai: then why is that now you are in perfect health and still you want me feed you, dress you up and put you to sleep by reading those stupid stories or I have to play the music.
Bani: Wait a minute you read the stories for the kids to go to sleep not me and the music is for them too because you can't wait for them to sleep off and have your way with me at a given opportunity.
Jai: Fine then lets have it my way and backed her against the wall dragging her in between his thighs.
Bani knew it was a wrong a wrong statement to say to Jai as he never wasted the chance when he got to get her right were she was now in his arms
All Bani could do was lock her hands around his neck while their mouths collided, drawing and sucking and crashing with passionate force a wild urgent plunder that drove them to feverish need. Bani felt as though she was shattering inside desperate for his strength to hold her together. The clawing of his fingers shot shivers of sensation over her skin. His mouth broke from hers and said I love you sweet heart now a days Jai would often say that which made Bani give that brilliant smile of hers but now she just wanted to feel him inside her so she just swayed against him her head falling back on his shoulder and his mouth fastened on her neck the hunger even more raw and needful, his one hand roving all over her while the other finger was delving into her, her body clenching around them convulsing wanting, wanting……Suddenly Jai's arm hooked around her waist supporting her as he undid the last bit of his clothing and pushed her down to the bed. Bani was quivering from the bombardment of sensation and everything within her seemed to be hanging on a pinnacle of anticipation that only the feel of him could satisfy her. Finally he drove into her filling her and possessing her rocking her with ecstatic waves of ever increasing intensity. His arms were hugging her locking her to him and there was no room for anyone else because she knew with every breath Jai took it was her name that he whispered. It felt wonderful to be loved by someone and the feeling of oneness she wanted it to last for ever.
This time pregnancy Bani was quite different she loved to spend more time with Jai so the family got less glimpse of her. They in fact waited to get a chance to be alone with her as Jai always hovered over her saying that no one takes care of her the way he does. They often went for their long drives and Bani didn't get back to office in full swing and most of their projects were handled by Sahil so they too missed her goodies. But she still got something's for them when ever she came in. Basically she kept everyone waiting. As she got close to her delivery she was bit apprehensive because of her complications during the first delivery. The doctor advised Jai to keep her occupied with pleasant thoughts so often jai took her to the farm hose or some other resort over the weekends.
Eight months had passed and she was very close to delivery today in fact Jai didn't want to take the trip to the farm house then Bani said once the baby is born it would be hectic and they will not be able to take time out so they left the twins in the care of massi and went to the farm house.
This was one trip Jai could do without in his life time.
They were driving back in the evening all morning Bani was feeling slightly uncomfortable but she hadn't informed Jai about it as she knew he would panic. Any ways they would reach home in another three to four hours but the baby had some other plans half way through the drive the radiator got heated and Jai had just gone to look for water when Bani's water broke and she was getting pains at regular intervals.
She just stepped out to look for Jai. One look at Bani and Jai knew he was in big trouble
Jai: what's wrong sweet heart?
Bani: Jai my water broke I think I am going to have the baby now its coming I can just feel it.
Jai: Bani no just hold on Bani in another half an hour there is a small health care centre down I will some how get us there please hold on till then. He helps Bani into the car pulls the seat back and makes her comfortable.
Bani: I don't think so I was feeling uncomfortable since morning but I thought it would just pass off.
Jai: what you are telling me that now God Bani we are in the middle of no where.
Bani: Stop shouting you are scaring me.
Jai: Sorry
Sweethearts just give me five minutes I am going to just pour this water into the radiator and we will make our move. You are just going to be fine.
Jai was now just pouring the water when Bani called out for him again
Bani: Jai no way are we making it to the health centre I am going to have this baby any minute you have to help me.
Jai: what just hold on let me call the doctor may be I can do something and hands Bani a wet cloth to wipe her face. And tries to get the doctor and brief her about the situation. The doctor asks him to how frequent is she feeling when jai says it is 3 to 4 minutes the doctor says well Mr. Walia then you are about to deliver your child yourself think you can do it.
Jai knew he couldn't deliver the baby in his two seated BMW suddenly her remembered the shed he had passed by while going to collect the water. So he carried Bani there and laid her down in a bed of hay which was covered by the picnic mat they had brought with them He had taken some clean towels with him and mineral water. Some how with the doctor's instruction he was giving Bani the instructions when to push and finally he saw the head of the baby almost set to come out. Jai was at his wits end by then. He had decided then and there this would be the last time his wife got pregnant. He cannot take this anymore. First time he almost looses her and the next time she wants him to deliver the baby.
Jai: Bani, you are doing fine. Now I can see the head of the baby and you are to push only at the peak of the pain.
Bani: I can't do this anymore Jai you have to do something.
Jai: Bani its too late you have to please sweet heart and he keeps a pillow to raise her head and now sweet heart now come on give it all what you have got sweet heart I promise its going to be over in no time sweaty. And with the final push Bani heard the cry of her baby. It was boy and Jai wrapped it in the clean towel he had brought and informed the doctor that the boy seemed to be in one piece and his wife is not complaining of anything so is everything o.k. The doctor just guided Jai what had to be done some how he just got Bani and the Baby settled but the doctor had advised him to get someone checked her before they started on their journey back to Bombay. So he drove to the health centre and got the doctor when Bani was resting with the baby a drive that would have taken half an hour Jai covered it in half the time
Doctor: well some one who has done it for the first time I should say he has done a great job. But I am not so sure about the way you drive. You are lucky to have a husband like him.
Bani: I know that Doctor.
Only Jai knew what he had gone through in the past two hours. Its one experience he would never want to relive in his lifetime.
Doctor: Your wife and the baby are healthy and congratulations also must comment you would make a good doctor.
Jai: thank you but I think I would prefer to stay in the present occupation I am very good at that. This is a little too much for me to handle.
Doctor: Well all the best and hope to see you again.
Jai: No way doctor this is the last time my wife is getting pregnant.
Finally they reach Bombay and the whole family was waiting for them in the hall as they were supposed to come at least four hours ago and there was no sign of them they were all getting worried.
On seeing Jai come in with blood stained shirt massi was literally tears and asked what happened.
Jai: nothing massi just get the pooja thali I will bring Bani and the baby now and just went to get both of them.
Adi: Did he say Bani and the baby. All were still sitting there shocked.
While Jai carrying Bani and the baby entered and seeing everyone sitting down as though struck by a lightning.
Jai: what is wrong with everyone in this house can't they do a single thing as I tell them to do it.
Massi suddenly gets the pooja thali and Jai helps Bani to the room and the baby is settled with the help of the nanny and massi.
Later Jai explains how he had to deliver the baby himself.
Tarun: God this is one thing I would have loved to have seen the great Jai Walia delivering his own child what headline it would d have made isn't it Adi.
Everyone just kept looking at Tarun giving him the dagger looks.
Tarun: guess that was a bad joke.
Adi: yes and better get out before you get hit by someone in this house.
Jai: You guys are all welcome to do that as I have had enough of adventure for a lifetime. So I am off to bed.
Massi: Sure you must be exhausted and everyone retires to bed.
Jai sees Bani sleeping peacefully while the baby is resting in the cradle. Jai kisses both the baby and Bani before going to bed. He is stroking the hair of Bani and looking at her sleep.
Bani wakes up
Bani: Jai can't sleep because of all the excitement of today.
Jai: could say that.
Bani: come here and gives a kiss to Jai's forehead and they both sleep off holding on to one another thanking God for all the blessings in their life.
9 years later. It's the 10th wedding anniversary of Jai and Bani and the ninth birthday of the twins as these two days are close by they celebrate it together with everyone in the family coming into Walia mansion
Now we see that Rano is a surgeon and is married to Pushkar and settled in Pune they have a son Rahul.
Nachiketh is married to his business partner and they are settled in London as he now runs the operations for the Walia group in the west.
Ranveer is married to Rashi and is settled in Singapore as he runs the Far East operations for the group.
Anu is married to Rohit and settled in Bombay they have their own interior designing company and Anu does exhibitions of her glass painting.
Sahil is still unmarried.
Jigyasa and Adi now keep shuttling between Adi's hometown and Bombay.
Jai along with Sahil manages mainly the business in Bombay. Karuna too helps them out
Lakshmi is married to Tarun and they have one daughter Ria.
So everyone is gathered around the breakfast table and having a riot when Jai walks in.
Udit, Krishna and Nishanth wish him Good morning dad.
Jai: good morning babies.
Krishna: Please dad we are not babies anymore.
Nishanth: I don't believe this why you always embarrass me in front of Ria. No wonder she is pulling my leg always.
Udit: Nishu no one can do that until and unless you let them to do it.
Just then tarun comes and sits next to Krishna.
Krishna; Hey boy friend you smell good what's the fragrance
Jai just choked on his coffee.
Jai: Krishna
Krishna knew when her dad was not pleased only then he called her name other wise it's always baby or Krissy
Krishna: Come on dad I just wanted to know the perfume I kind of like it I was thinking you would give up on that perfume which mum keeps getting for you.
Tarun: well my sweetheart hen there is no luck in that department your dad would never go against your mum's wish.
Krishna: then may be I could gift it to you with that flirting look in her eyes.
Udit: Krissy you are driving dad to his limits.
Krishna: Well I am not as bad as you he knows that.
Udit; What?
Krishna: Well I can't help it if everyone falls for my smile Dad any how loves it because it reminds him of mum. But everyone knows that my brothers are the biggest heart breakers in town.
Adi: Jai I swear these kids are just growing up to be like you they only have got traces of Bani in their smile and eyes the rest is you.
Jai: Don't remind me Adi I am repenting for all the sins of my youth through my kids. Just then Bani comes in and offers Parottas to Sahil.
Jai: Bani couldn't you just give me a kid with your character and my looks for a change.
Bani: That would be the worst thing for a child as you would never let her out of your sight and enquires to Sahil shall she get one more for him.
Nishanth: God mum I am the youngest in the family and you treat Sahil Bhaiya as the baby of the family.
Sahil: no use feeling jealous because your mum loves me the more than you all.
Udit and Krishna; Please grow up bhaiya
Krishna: It's high time you got married and had kids.
Udit: How would he find someone when the whole time he is tied down to mum?
Nishanth: Bhaiya please already my friends have started asking me is he your big brother.
Krishna Your friends are nut cracks. How can mum have such a big kid?
Udit: Well looking at dad it wouldn't surprise me.
Jai was now getting mad with his kids comments.
Jai: Don't you think you are getting late for school.
Krishna: that the cue call to stop talking about dad being too old for mum. But dad you still can rock any party. the girls in my class say that you are still a handsome hunk at this age.
Jai: Krishna wait till I talk to your teacher but she just runs away from there after passing that comment.
Udit: Here I thought I had problem with my friend as they felt my mum looked more like my sister that my mother.
Jai: Before I ground you all for a week get going you both talk too much and you spoil Nishanth too in that process.
Nishanth: Well everyone is of the opinion that no one can spoil anyone more than you dad.
Jai: what
Udit: he was referring to the way you give in to mum. Any ways love you dad and all the three kiss Jai and leave for school with Sahil.
Jai: Turning to massi. one day these kids are really going to miss me and Bani.
