Okie........so not everyone was happy with the last part - sorry guys, hopefully this clears it all up!!😉

"What the hell was that?"

Supporting a strained smile, Tarun watched from the sofa as Bani whirled round to face him, anger flashing in her eyes.

"What was what, sweetheart?"

"Tarun, do you have any idea who that was?"

The smile gave way and he looked suddenly serious, something oddly rare for her lawyer friend. When he finally spoke, his voice was laced with a hard-edged tone, warning of the anger he was trying to control.

"I recognised him at the door, and believe me, the first thing I wanted to do was punch him hard"

Looking suddenly forlorn, Bani slumped on a chair as Tarun knelt down beside her, gently taking her palms in his as deep sobs racked her body.

"Look Bani, I'm sorry. But he didn't know about the child so I'm guessing you didn't tell him. Do you want him to know?"

She shrugged her shoulders, sniffing as she wiped her tears away with the box of tissues Tarun offered her.

"I, I just don't know. He thinks of it all as a mistake, and we're divorced so…"

She broke of, giving a frustrated sigh.

"This is stupid! He doesn't love me and probably doesn't want this child anyway."

"That's his loss Bani. Don't worry about it, if he loves you then I promise to clear all this up and bring you back together."

Looking up, Bani smiled gratefully at Tarun as he joined her on the chair and pulled her into a warm hug.

"You know Bani,"

"Hmm"

"You have great lips…Hey! Ow, Bani, not the cushions!"

"Biji! Have you gone crazy"

Mausi looked appalled as she spotted Dadi, Pia and Rano dancing to Rafi's 'Aaj kal' amidst the hustle and bustle of the godh bharai preparations, as Anu and Raashi sat giggling on of the sofas. Shaking her head, she switched of the large sound system where the music had been blaring. Immediately the girls, led by Dadi, started moaning.

"Mausi! We were having so much fun."

"Oye Billo! Why did you shut the music of? I was just showing the girls our dance for tomorrow."

"Biji, is this any age for you to dance?"

"Age?"

Dadi pulled face before waving Mausi away with a hand and striking a pose.

"Talk for yourself, I'm still young! Now put the music back on. After this it's 'Crazy Kiya Re'."

The girls burst in to laughter, hardly being able to control themselves as Dadi and Mausi got in to a light banter, broken a few minutes later by Anu's excited exclamation.

"Bani mami!"

Bani picked her way through the flurry of the decorations, nodding slightly at the servants who stopped to acknowledge her, one hand placed firmly on her abdomen.

She had been apprehensive to come to the godh bharai, especially as it had been postponed, not a problem for Anu who had come kept it early in the first place, but Bani found that she was now entering her sixth month and her pregnancy could hardly be able overlooked. Pia and Rano had won in the end though, reasoning that Mr. Walia already knew, so what was there to hide?

"I'm so glad you could make it Bani mami!"

Bani smiled as her over excited niece pulled her in to a hug, before Mausi pulled her away and ordered to rest. Bani bent down to take her blessings but was stopped halfway as Mausi preferred to cup her face in her palms and kiss her forehead gently.

The next few minutes were spent fussing over her, chiding her for not getting in touch, praising how beautiful she looked – how much pregnancy suited her and meeting the members of the family that were present. Soon Bani felt as if she had never left. Sitting amidst Mausi, Dadi, Aditya, Anu, Raashi, and with Pia and Rano hugging her from both sides, their hands meeting at her bump, she wished she could stop time and replay this moment forever, though there was one thing lacking, and he was nowhere to be seen.

"Urm, I hope I'm not interrupting anything."

Everyone turned to find Tarun in the doorway, laden with bags, and looking slightly nervous. This was after all Jai Walia's house, and Tarun wondered if he would be thrown out on his ear by the crowd of women in front of him.

The bags were soon taken care of, and once Pia and Rano had finished their usual pester for gifts, he was introduced to the whole family, who were more than happy to greet him. He took Mausi and Dadi's blessings, shook hands with Aditya, bowed in front of Anu and kissed Raashi's hands who started blushing furiously. Soon he was involved in showering his charm on the ladies, flirting, grinning and praising each one of them, while Aditya and Bani stood slightly to a side, amused at the picture in front of them.

"Tarun beta, why stay at a hotel? Our house is big enough for you as well, and after all you are Bani's friend. Stay until the godh bharai and you can meet the rest of the family as well."

"Mausiji, any other time I would have said no. But with the company of such beautiful ladies, how can I refuse?"

He placed his arm round Mausi and flashed a grin as Dadi pulled his cheek affectionately.

"Kina cute munda hai!"

So not that interesting, just a filler part!
