Wanting a girl child - krishna

It is really heartwarming to sense in a major primetime series the male protagonist wanting a girl child named krishna. I know he has never explicitly said I want a girl but everything points to it ... in his moms image, bani's dream.....

This is so nice to see in contrast to the how everyone always seems to want a boy....

Very true. Quite unlike some of the other serials like Betiyaan, KGGK etc.

But I hope has twins- Arjun/Krishnaa, Arjun would grow up to be played by RK again, just imagine two RKs to drool on.

That way Ekta is progressive...Most of her Serials depict Daughters as the favoured ones in the Family and the Ones who make their Parents and everyone around Proud!

Take Shobha in KSBKBT...Tulsi has always favoured her more than Gautam and Harsh!

And now Krishna Tulsi is the Apple of her Eyes!

In KGGK, Shruti is the Darling Daughter of the House!

Similarly, in KTH, the story was set in a Household of 5 daughters and the Father never lamented about a lack of Son!

In our very own KS...Anu is Jigyasa's favourite (She loves Ranveer equally, but Anu seems to be Jiggy's pride!)

Bani never seems to complain about a lack of Brother (Well, Pushkar kind of compensates!)and is shown to be so proud of both her sisters (One of which is going to let her down big time now, though!)

JW and Bani want a Baby Girl it seems...Cause they always refer to Krishna in the Feminine Gender! 😃

I think its great that atleast serials are showing a Preference for a Girl Child over a Boy Child...Because till today, in India and Indian Families, the prefernece is largely and mostly for a Male Child...A Daughter is certainly welcome, but only be followed or preceded by her Brother!

Absolutely true, MT. And if serials are popular with the masses and viewers start absorbing this concept then it would be a wonderful change in the way society thinks. Even if the change is a slow process, if just a small percentage of the population could change their views on the subject and shift their thinking on how they view daughters it would be a great thing and major progress.

Yeah and I also love the fact that JW gives exact same wieghtage to what Rano and Raashi want to do in his business like Ranveer and Sahil. Now only if they would stop showing them just cooking all the time and the men helping out 😉

MT have not seen other ekta serials but this one seems very girl friendly. But I think Jiggy loves ranveer the most...maybe because he is the oldest and most like her and anu is like her father and sahil is like walia mansion pillar

Pinky I absolutely agree that even if a small fraction of the population can absorb the message and have a change in the way they think, all ekta mai's faults are forgiven. These serials are a major conduit to the mass population and the message they relate has a strong impact. To show that a girl child (anu's) is such a joyous occasion without a thought been given or raised that it is a girl is a great message.

Now only if she would stop saying it's ok to sleep with BIL and scheme to get BIL 😆 Well you can't get everything right. Ekta needs her TRP's

I like that idea too.. I come from family of girls.. mom, sister, me.. and dad.. My parents never had a preference for boy/girl.. grandparents are another story, but at least my parents were happy. They raised my sister and I to be independent and strong, and its wonderful that Ekta does this in her serials.. It sends a great message.

Plus seeing Jai have a little girl wrapped around his finger would be way too cute too see!! (Probably like his own daughter, she'll be daddy's little girl)
