This I have written as my heart goes out to Rashi. I'm so saddened by the way this nice girl is treated...

I have been a good girl, with a lot of anticipation

Thanks to my crafty Dad, I ended up in Walia Mansion

A family with secrets and problems galore

The husband is mean, his beatings make me sore

The man is just a Momma's boy

In her evil schemes a mere toy

The mother in law is a witch and a half

I'm so tired of crying that I sometimes laugh

At the cruel games my destiny has played

What happened to all that the elders had said

Be a good girl and God will reward you

There will be happiness, and love so true

A glimpse of that life I am yet to see

That I'm treated fairly, like a "bahu" should be

With nothing but work and anger around

There isn't a worse place one could've found

Is this how the rich people live

At each other's throat, with nothing to give

Other than slaps, meanness and hurt

Treating the women like they are nothing but dirt

What is the value of such wealth and fame

If I were them I would've died of shame

I hope someday I get a reprieve

And somehow make someone believe

I am a good soul, as nice as can be

They should stop this ill treatment and value me.
