Maybe he suffers from Oedipus(sp?)complex. He is fixated on his mother as she is on him. That is why she is going to all this extent to get him back.

I think that she is awakening sexual feelings in him and having vowed to be a sanyasi, he is frustrated.
As a result he is abusing her physically.

Hope he doesn't start with sexual abuse...if he needs her, break his vow and treat her as a human being!

I don't know for sure but I have a theory - maybe Ranveer is incapable of you know what 😉 and he is afraid that Rashi would find out if he gets to behave normally with her, so to avoid that he pretends to hate her, actually he is afraid of her. 😃
