Bani were surfing through the channels when he walked in to the room. She switched off the TV. He took his night dress and walked to the bathroom. She waited eagerly for him to come out.
BAni's gaze followed him around the room. What was it he said she thought.. That he thank God for giving him an understanding and selfless partner. Pia's face was worth a look. She had helped him to get Roshni out and he ……..

'thum muje se kuch kehna chahthi ho…' he asked noticing her eyes following him.
He caught her off guard.
'han..'
'kya?'
'Thank you..'
'kis liye?'
'Wo jo Pia ke samne aapne jho kaha isiliyein ..'
'meine kya kha…..'

What is he saying? Kya is ko kuch yaad nahi hein…. She felt awkward and embarrassed ,uncertainly she said 'kuch nahi Mr.Walia.. I might have hallucinated. Aap so jaeyein.. Good night..'
Jai suppressed his laugh.
'Good night..'

Kanchan called her in the morning.
Bani picked up the call.
'thum batao.. Bani kya faisla kiya thum ne?'
Bani's gaze fell on her husband.
'Mein…
;thum aarahi ho ya nahi….'
Bani stared at her husband. Taking a deep breath she asked. 'Mr.Walia…. aap London kab ja rahi ho..?
He put the paper down and stared at her.
'Aap kab London keliye ravana ho rahein hein…?' she asked controlling her temper. He seemed to not have listened to her. She knew he was in no mood to tell her the date.
'Aap ka London jaana koi raaz hein…. Aap… she grumbled.' tell me Mr.Walia…. my life is at hold here. I cant just live like this….' She said on the verge of tears.
He didn't give her any answer.
She placed the phone near her ears and said…'KAnchan aaj ka date kya hein….'
9th'
'teek hein mein 16th ko……..' Jai threw the paper aside took a long stride towards her snatched the phone and threw on the floor. The instrument broke in two pieces…

JAAAAAAAAAAIiiiiiiiii………….. Screamed Bani. Unaware of her taking his first name. 'Yeh kya kiya aapne..' she couldn't believe what just happened. Aap ne mera phone thod diya..
How dare you? Her eyes widened sending daggers at him.
He walked to the door. She ran behind him and stood between him and the door.
'Bas… mein kuch pooch rahi hoo aur aap aise hi…..'
He caught her hand and pushed her slightly away from the door and went out. She followed him out the door he walked towards his study she followed him to the study.
'Tell me why did you throw my phone? Aur yeh London ka secret kya hein…'
Bani…. get the hell out of here now I don't wish to answer your questions.' He said staring at her.
'you very well answer my question Jai… tell me…'
BAni I made myself clear there aren't any point you following me.
'Alright if that's your decision then I don't have anything to ask you. Mr.Walia I am not a puppet in your hands I have a life to live. I will be going like I said on the 16th. If you wish you can tell maasi about our relation ship or I'll inform her.

Jai's heart skipped a beat. Will she dare to tell maasi?
She threw him an angry glance and left him in his study.

Bani returned back to her room picked up the cell phone from the floor and tried to mend the piece. The phone stopped working she took her chip out of it and threw the instrument in the waste basket.
She sat on her bed in thoughts. She had told him she would go and tell maasi but how? Does she really want to do that?

They had breakfast quietly. Bani concentrated on her food. Jai left for his work. She didn't have much to do at home she went upstairs to her room. Jigyasa noticed both of them.

Jai sat in his office thinking about his behavior in the morning. Kya karoon mein.
He couldn't forget the look he had seen her in her eyes. How did she manage to come up with the same date? He couldn't believe. Kya uske mann mein mere liye kuch bhi nahin hein? He stared at the empty room.

Bani was sitting with maasi when he came home from office. Bani threw him a look.
Jai studied maasi's face he didn't find any unsusal expression on her face he heaved a sigh of relief. Bani noticed him. She followed him upstairs and whispered. ' meine abhi kuch nahi bataya iska mathlab yeh nahin ki mein kabhi nahi bataoonga…..'
'kya thum muje challenge kar rahi ho? He asked bitingly.
'Han….'
'tho mein thumhein challenge kartha hoon thum abhi jake sab kuch batadennna janjat hi khatham ho….'

Her face paled. She felt hurt. Janjat? Kya yeh sab ek janjat hein… she turned her face from him. Her eyes filled.

Oh shit! Bani …….
Bani ignored him and went downstairs.

They had dinner quietly.
Bani made her bed and got into her bed. She took a book to read. She threw the book aside not able to concentrate. She sat up pulling the quilt to her chin.
Kya sach mein yeh sab ek janajt hein…. Maasi ko batanekeliye bahoth time tha aaj why did I not tell her? Why did I feel bad when he challenged me?
Am I ever going to tell her?

Jai walked in switched on the music system and threw a glance at her. She was sitting and staring at something. What's going on her mind? He thought.

Ashaji song filled the room.
'mera kuch saman thumhare paas padahein……

Bani was snapped out of her reverie she switched off the table lamp and shut her eyes.
She couldn't sleep. Would she dare go to Kanchan? What will she tell maasi?
Kya Mr.Walia ko kio fark nahin padtha ki mein unhein bathaoo yah nahi?


Bani woke up in the morning with sore eyes. She totally ignored him. She decided not to speak with him unless it wasn't necessary.

Yeh mujse bath kyon nahi kar rahi.? Kabhi kabhi gussa bhi karthethe abh wo bhi nahi? He felt suffocated.
Two days went by Bani hardly spoke with him.
She was hurt and sad inside but pretended nothing bothered her.

Jai came from the office in a bad mood. He saw her sitting on the day bed deep in thoughts. He threw his brief case on the bed and turned to her. Took long strides towards her grabbed her shoulders and seethed. 'thum hein mera London jane ka date chahiyein right?.
Bani looked frightened.
Its 0n the 16th.. abh kush…?
