Pia Dixit: An Obituary

I think today with the beach sequence we were being shown the end of the Pia Dixit who migrated from Mt.Abu with her sisters.

While i find it hard to dredge up even one iota of sympathy for Pia; it is by now clear that the character of Pia has changed beyond belief. She was always selfish, self-obsessed etc. but she did love her sisters. It's different fact altogther that despite that love she always managed to make their lives difficult. But at least it used to unintentional, unplanned.

But now, with her "i'll reveal the truth when the time is write" act she is becoming someone else, someone who does not even want to try and think of Bani's happiness. Instead she is becomng a stubbornly delusional character who is unwilling to accept as true what is being shoved into her face: that JW does not want her, his night with her was an accident (the details of which he can't even remember!), that JW only wants BW!

But Pia is still convinced that none of this present mess (i.e. seducing JW & then not letting him go) is of her making, that what is happening with her is unfair and undeserved.

In her mind, she should be treated at par if not better than Bani by JW!

And so, Pia Dixit from Mt.Abu is dead, being replaced instead by a an about to be born Jealous Vamp, whose motto in life will be :JW belongs to me by right and if I can't have him, no one else can.

Welcome, the new bitchy, evil, truly selfish vamp who will not spare even the sister who has looked after her always like a mother.

Au Revoir to the sometimes silly, sometimes funny, sometimes good intentioned, nearly always pea-brained Pia who inadvertently caused J&B to find each other. We will miss you in the time to come.

I agree she has been selfish and all, but is it really her fault?

I mean before the KC episode, pia didn't know that her di and jiju were in love with each other did she?

She was still under the illusion that JW somewhere still had feelings for her. You can't really blame her for that. if you think about it from her character's point of view.

and the line "i'll reveal it when the time is right" i completely agree with her, the truth has to come out, and Pushkar NEEDS to know.

If we expect JW to tell bani the truth, then why shouldn't pia do the same?

Think about it from her point of view, everything she has been doing, is a normal person's reaction.

Pia's character is the only one besides JW that is close to reality.

er....she is the one who forced herself onto him, he distinctintly said "No" and "This is wrong"

only beacuse she did not want to believe it! Rano TOLD her in so many words!!! And she never asked Bani even once!!! I don't think an affadavit signed by both J&B would convince her! she believes only what she wants to!

I'm sorry but was she blind to JW desperately trying to get Bani back? what was that or did she think it was only for a child? Even if that was the case, she does not Understand Anything about one sister- Bani and does not want to believe anything the other one-Rano- says? bas, jo Pia khud sochte hai wahi theek hai? Weird!

If she has decided anyways that she does not want him back in her life, then NO! she should keep quiet. Anyways, she says she wants "Pushkar's happiness" So, in Pia speak that means not only dumping him but also hurting him?!

If we expect JW to tell bani the truth, then why shouldn't pia do the same?
Because we want the J&B relationship to survive, their marriage to work, and that is what both J&B also want! Pia no longer wants to be with Pushkar. She willingly committed Adultery! she did not have even the fig leaf of having signed divorce papers to hide behind!

Think about it from her point of view, everything she has been doing, is a normal person's reaction.
Define normal: if u mean what has always behaved like, then yes, you r right: she is self-obsessed and selfish to the point that she only cares about what she wants never about the price others have to pay for it. there is no balance, she takes, others pay.

Pia's character is the only one besides JW that is close to reality
I'm not sure that reality is what ks is about, or what some of us watch it for. In any case all the bloopers/blunders are enough to make it worse than reality!!! and i'm not sure of either: that JW's character is close to reality or that the others are so far from it.

Shina

Great questions btw. i loved responding to them! thanks.

you're really gonna make me do it arent you shina... 😡

*deep sigh*

ok.

Shina, you are quite right, if JW is expected to tell the truth than Pia should be too. Whatever her character may or may not be she is certainly no deceitful manipulative Roshni type. I think deep down she still has some feelings for pushkar (not neccessarily love) and after his confession she owes it to him to tell the truth.

maybe she could be happy with him. maybe being set straight by JW was the wake-up call she needed to realise that not everything in life goes the way you want. bani dixit has after all raised her, she can't be all bad! 😃

I totally agree with armana....shina!god what happened to you ?you are defending Pia ???Pia knew J-B loved each other ...but she just dint want to accept it... when Rano told her that bani has feelings for him ...she refused to believe her why? cus she regreted leaving Jai for pushkar...and wanted him for herself s basically she dint WANT to believe that they love each other!

Nope, Cordelia, she is going to turn out all BAD! Wait and watch! and i don't think that JW's words were a wake up call. She thinks he has 'used and abused' her and is now not valuing her!
She is going to cause a lot of heartache to Bani

But when in love do you really think about anything else? Isn't love another type of drug where you can't think beyond it? i mean i know love is also sacrifice, but that comes later on, first it is selfishness.

I mean before the KC episode, pia didn't know that her di and jiju were in love with each other did she?

Was bani in the condition to ask? come on bani left JW, and filed for divorce, claimed alimony. thinking it from pia's perspective isn't that proof enough that bani doesn't love jai? Pia did confront jai though, even though he gave an indirect reply, but pia needed a direct reply.

Probably she thought JW wanted JUST the baby(even though we know that's not the case, but thinking from the character's perspective). well isn't that how our minds work generally? what we see we believe, but what others say we can't comprehend that?

but doesn't pushkar deserve to know the truth to move on? i mean he is so in love with her, may be after the truth, he will be able to move on, and instead of hurting him, she'll only be helping him by telling him the truth.

If we expect JW to tell bani the truth, then why shouldn't pia do the same?

yeah see, since Jai and bani are the main leads we expect that. and since we know pia is going to turn "negative" we expect her to be quiet? why is that? a negative character can't speak the truth? as i said earlier when in 'LOVE' you don't think about anything else. and she was technically "seperated" from pushkar.

while being all that, she did care about her sisters too, in her own weird sort of way. we can't expect everyone to be mahan like bani is now can we?
