i think jai is responsible for this.Whenever they could come close or bani said something to get them close ,Jai always spoke about freeing her thus underminig her confidence in him as far as their love was concerned.
As far as evolution of their characters are concerned I think Jai's has been handled marvellously,Jaidas mode et. al.Bani's character has become too sacrificing to digest. To be credible one must be as close as possible to real life .that is not to say it should be too real,it then wouldn't be entertaining!!Bani's character needs a bit of spice right now to make it interesting.

I seem to have missed the best of KS 😭 😭 😭
But even though I have been watching it for just a month or so I can still see a change in Bani. 😕

The creatives have now made her into someone who revels in her self-importance - at least that is how it appears to me! 😉
If she told Jai about Jigs/Ranv or the murder attempts then he would have taken some action thus taking away the importance of her actions. 😒
Isn't it amazing she tells people who are not likely to take any action (Pushy,Massi) about the importance of what she is doing but keeps it from people like Tarun who might have also acted on the information 🤢 And what I want to ask her is what happens when she does not coincidentally 'overhear' the murder plans ? - Jai is one sitting duck 🤢

She is St Bani alright - self annointed! 😉

And falling in love does not mean you become a doormat! Yes, you are more aware of what hurts the other person but you also learn to share and trust each other so that the love deepens .... what we want to see between J&B. 😆 😆

Varun,

(i think jai is responsible for this.Whenever they could come close or bani said something to get them close ,Jai always spoke about freeing her thus underminig her confidence in him as far as their love was concerned. )

That's ancient history. Since Bani left J, he has been passionate about B and never short of displaying his true feelings about her.

(I think Jai's has been handled marvellously.Bani's character has become too sacrificing)

I agree JW is far more human than St. B and that's why JW has a far bigger fan following than her. KS is still watchable because one of the lead characters is still human.

Nidhi,

You're right! Both Jai and Bani have changed so much.

The greatest change in JW being that from Bani being Pia's sister (if you recall that scene J's sign off line was "Kash! tum Pia ki behen nahin hoti")to a point where Pia is little more than Bani's sister (trying to salvage her marriage to bring solace to B or slipping on bangles to irritate B). And of course he has become a better human being, more patient and more forgiving.
Yes, I remember that scene "Kash! tum Pia ki behen nahin hoti", that was after they opened their heart for each other after she came from her moms pooja at Pushky's house...I think. But if we look at the changes as you mentioned above, then JW has changed for the good..? Which is a positive turn.

As far as B is concerned, she is the same noble soul that she always was, what I fail to understand is why as mor and more she falls in love with JW, less she is able to communicate with JW. Shouldn't it be the reverse.
Because of the restrictions she has put upon herself. She left him because of the PR raaz, but deep down her heart she's already forgiven him, otherwise she wouldn't go till this extent to save him all the time. But when she would openly tell him why she's doing all this, it would be very clear to him that she still loves him. And that's what she doesn't want. Remember the Ganpati scene...? ......I tried to make sense out of her behaviour..... 😕

Priyanka

Nikki,

Right you have missed what I think has been the best of KS- the initial months of the J-B marriage, B's devotion bringing a change in J's feelings, jealousy of Rosh making Bani realise her own love, the jiya dhadak dhadak moments. But let's pray that Kektaa mayee has saved something for the future

Priyanka - judging by the general comments about Ekta I don't think I'll hold my breath for the good old moments to reappear .... 😉 😆 😆

Hey priyanka,

I love that scene, that is my all-time fav. scene, i watched it like atleast 10 times.

as for our Bani, i think after that PR fake bomb explosion, some of her brain cells were hurt, that made her lose her common sense, so it will take some time to heal it. (okay bad attempt at humor), but hey there is no other explanation.

Yes, I tend to agree with sangita that, Bani's personality has been muddled by the writers. i think what happened was that we all became fascinated by Jai/Ram. So the creatives minded his role and moulded it. They didn't know what to do with Bani. Lack of Communiation skill is a major flaw. No common sense. Why forbid Pushkar from telling Jai that Baby lost coz she was saving him? Now she has hurt him in the worst way possible, while harping on how she was going to save his property.
