Chapter 31-B

Bani wasn't sure if it had gotten worse…or only worse because better was yet to come…whichever way the poor woman was flustered as she flitted here and there throughout the office trying to finalize some of the major deals for this time frame, only to be confronted by Tanisha, reminding her of the meeting with Walia G.o.C was in just 20 minutes, and that Mr Walia himself would be there, maybe in 15.
With a yelp, Bani rushed out of the cubicle she was in and headed straight for her office, power-walking, and ignoring everyone that tried to stop her… She had ten minutes to prepare her notes and annotations and what not for the meeting! Alas! The rich, mahogany door of her office loomed nearer, and with a relieved smile she made a bee-line straight for it, only to miss one of her employees walking backwards, still talking to someone from the coffee room, and then –"BLEEAAARRGGGHH!!!"
"Mam! Mam! I'm sooo sorry, mujhe maaf kardo na?" whimpered a frail looking girl, possibly 2 years younger than her. Smiling sternly, Bani nodded at her curtly and flung open her office door. In her haste to clean up her sopping WHITE shirt…which had pretty much become transparent now, Bani forgot to lock her door.
She stood behind her desk, her back to the door, dabbing in vain at the large coffee stain on her silk blouse! Damn! Thank GOD Tanisha had reminded her that it was always good to keep a change of clothes in her office, incase stuff like that ever happened! And boy was Bani thankful for that! Quickly depositing her sodden jacket on her leather chair, she made to unbutton her shirt. Glancing at her watch, she saw she had just 5 minutes before he came!

Jai Walia whistled and smiled ever pleasantly as he made his way into the Dixit Inc offices in Mumbai. He was accustomed to the looks of awe and admiration he received from the employees, however he could tell they now looked on with extra curiosity, and now whispering behind their hands as he passed…all possibly wondering the same thing: Was the reports true that their boss was now in an intimate relationship with the great Jai Walia?!
Nodding curtly to a few ladies who sat gawking at his godly appearance, causing one of the ladies' eyes to shoot straight up in her head, the other to catch her breath and the next to almost topple of her chair, Jai pressed the elevator button and entered.
His day was going just fine…as smooth as it could get, except for that one little disturbance of Saturday…he made a mental note to discuss that with Bani after their "meeting". The elevator 'ping'-ed and Jai walked out onto the landing of Bani's floor. All heads turned, with similar reactions to that he had received in the lobby, but nothing could bother Jai…not today!
He saw, what he supposed, would be Bani's office now, the one previously owned by Raj, and before anybody could deter him, he made a beeline for the door.

Bani was having difficulties with the stupid shirt! The buttons were slippery, thanks to the coffee all over it, and she had to bite her lips to prevent herself from swearing loudly. Jai would be here in a minute, and she had seemingly created more problems than solved any! In her frenzy of trying to deal with those damn buttons, and create a mental representation, Bani missed the soft knock on her door, and did not see the door open and Jai Walia slip in. She was too busy grumbling inwardly!
Yes! Finally, the stupid buttons came undone and Bani could now easily slip out if the shirt. Smiling as though a heavy weight had been removed off her chest, Bani walked, topless (but with her skirt and bra on, lolz) towards her cupboard, not once looking back to see that devil of a boyfriend staring longingly at her.
As she spun round, new shirt at hand, she froze, a look of utmost horror plastered on her face!
Jai stood against the door, one foot up against it, arms folded, a sexy half-grin on his devilishly handsome face. Raising his eyebrows at her, he locked the door, then returned to catch her gaze. Seeing that she made no attempt make any movement, he glided forward and took her by the waist. His palms on her bare waist, caressing her softly, seemed to have done the trick! Bani jumped with a start, and then looked up at Jai, wide eyed, the new shirt still hanging limply from her hand.
"Ms Dixit…if this how our meetings are going to be proceeding, remind me to leave my eyes at home!" Jai grinned, glancing at the magnificent view he now had, then back up at Bani, who seemed to turn crimson in an instant. Jai laughed, a deep throaty laugh, which made Bani gulp.
Finally finding her voice, she fumbled "Mr Walia! O god! Today…any worse…meeting…sorry!" was all she could manage to say clearly, and it wasn't helping that he was looking, if possible, extra hot today, in his black suit, two buttons undone in his black shirt.
Jai nodded knowingly, but that didn't seem to stop him from now drawing circles on her back, toying with her bra strap, making Bani very, very conscious of her present state, and what he was doing to her.
"Be careful now…don't want to do anything rash, would we?" was Bani's dry-throated attempt at making him put a distance between them, at least to allow her to recollect her self.
"Hmm…But…I never told you to await me merely topless na? All tempting and delicious, and…sexxyyy" he grinned again, as Bani made a feeble attempt at pounding his chest.
One quick peek at what he could see, and that was enough to drive Jai nuts! Placing a finger under her chin, her brought her face up and lowered his, he found her lips in his, and was consumed in the passion and heat that ensued…he supposed, from her heaving chest, which did absolutely nothing but provoke his red-blooded manly instincts!
And, with her desk as support, she threw her head back, gasping for air as Jai's lips moved from her's, to her neck, and trailing down…until her hands went around his neck, and brought his head back up…she couldn't afford to get too carried away, not yet!
"Damn you, you bloody temptress" said Jai, as he straightened up, smoothing out his now creased suit, and ruffling his already tousled hair. Bani grinned impishly as she pulled on the new shirt and buttoned up, however, leaving the first two undone. Hey, if he could do it with his shirt, she could do it too right?
Bani indicated to him to have a seat opposite her desk and returned behind her desk, re-tying her hair that had somehow become loose, during their, um…pre-meeting get-together! (haaaaa!!!)
In a more formal tone, Bani proceeded "Mr Walia, nice of you to come…unfortunately…(and thankfully, she added in her head) Raj would not be able to attend, due to another meeting springing up of no where that he decided to do himself. Now, if you don't mind…I erm" she now had a faint red blush over her face, "I unfortunately forgot to prepare anything for this meeting…"
Jai could not help at laugh, she was so helplessly cute! "Bani…I figured as much…BUT…can you not talk to me in such a formal manner? Especially after…" and he gave her the eyebrows again, making her stare wide-eyed at him.
"Fine, fine…I'm sorry…" she mumbled.
"Well… I myself did not remember till this morning…been busy you see…there's this girl, she's always on my mind, taking up all my thinking time…if I'm not on the phone with her, I'm spending time with her…or" Jai broke out in another grin, after receiving both dirty, and guilty looks from Bani.
"Mr Wa—O forget it! So…did you get time though? To prepare anything?" Bani asked, now leaning forward, both hands clasped on her desk.
"Um…ya…dodgy notes yaar…forgive me? Can't we work on this some other time? As for now…I have an hour off…which was supposed to be spent during this oh so…productive meeting" Jai asked, winking at Bani.
"What do you have in mind?" asked Bani warily, her hands immediately flying up to her buttons…
"Gonna take your shirt off again then?" Jai couldn't help but laugh at the horrified look on Bani's face. He knew she was gonna button it all the way up, but, tormenting her was just as much fun as making out with her!
"Myabe I was!" She replied, a hint of anger in a voice.
Oh no, Jai remembered that attitude only too well…with Bani and her clothing…but…he decided to push his luck, and see exactly WHAT she intended to do indeed, either way he would benefit!
"Hmm, who's stopping you?"
Giving him a smart-ass sort of look, Bani walked up from her chair, went to the windows and pulled the blinds down, then made her way over to him, undoing her hair, shaking it out as she walked towards him in the now semi dark office.
Jai sat gulping in his seat…DAMN!
Bani came near, placed her hand on Jai's chair, turning it around to face her completely (it's those swivel chairs!) and also that the chair was now pushed firmly back against her desk.
One leg going up on the chair, on one side of Jai, Bani placed her hand in his hair,
"You were saying?" she whispered.
"*gulp* Ba—Ban…O dear!" was all he could groan. She was going to send Jai Walia to an asylum, he knew it!
"Wot?" she asked innocently, one hand now undoing another button on his shirt, tracing lines on his now visible chest. She felt his chest constrict, as though it was becoming impossible for him to breathe.
"I..ah..um…wo" he stammered like a goat, causing Bani to give a soft seductive laugh, bringing her other leg up so that Jai was now trapped between her as she kneeled up on him.
"Aaahh" he groaned and with a swift movement he was plunging into the warm depths of Bani's cinnamon flavoured mouth. He wasted no time in undoing those buttons Bani had painstakingly buttoned up to appear decent before him, allowing him, once more, to view her twins (HAHAHAHAH…heard that in wrestling the other day!), encased in a dark-blue bra, nor did Bani stick in taking off his jacket and undoing his shirt.
"Jai Walia- you- pig! You…" but that was all Bani got to say for the next half an hour. Both had been adorned with new patches of mosquito bites…in places Bani knew, thankfully, nobody would ever see, except her mosquito, so long as she wore high-necked tops! Jai on the other hand…poor man, it was easier to count the patches of skin instead of the marks! (HAAAAAAAA…and Bani was calling Jai a pig! Hehehehe)
After they had been…saturated for the moment, Jia reclined in his seat, holding Bani against him, running a hand up and down her legs, nibbling on her neck, but not with enough pressure so as to mark her, and the other lay entwined with hers, over her waist, as they both tried to control their irregular breathing.
"Why, Ms Dixit, this was a rather productive meeting, wasn't it?" Jai whispered hoarsely in her ear, making Bani nudge him gently in the ribs and giggle.
"Oh, you know…your staff is so well trained…" Jai said.
"Matlab?"
"Well…they never bother you…unlike those pigs at my office…they are buzzing around me 24/7!" Jai grumbled grudgingly!
"Hmm…maybe you should come here more often then" Bani said without thinking, only to realize what he might make of that, she added hastily "To get away from the stress of your office!", then to realize that seemed to have confirmed the wrong message given off by her first, idiotic statement!
"Acha? Are you planning on de-stressing me whenever I come?" he sounded hopeful, which made Bani nudge him again.
"Whatever Jai!" she sighed, exasperated.
"What?! What did you just call me?! Say it again! Come onnnn Bani! You called me by my name many times before! Why not now, when we're actually together?!" Jai was excited now.
"Noooo…now's not the right time just yet"
"When will that be then? I hope at least before I sleep with you…wouldn't that be weird if the room was filled with groans of 'Mr Walia!"" Jai mimicked a supposed-to-be..well you get how ridiculous it would sound, which earned Jai 2, very…ungentle stabs, one in his ribs and the other…ya!
"Oww! Baniiii…didn't your mo--…never mind, I'm sorry" Jai changed his sentence hastily.
"What makes you think I'm going to sleep with you?" she asked dryly, knowing fully well she wanted that just as much as he did, choosing to slide over that last comment of Jai's…for both of them.
"Don't you want to?" he asked, now sitting up a bit and causing her to cock her head up to the side a bit, to get a good view of him.
"Mr Walia, before you ask to get married…you ask to sleep with you? What sort of impression would I…" she trailed off as Jai gave her a humour-less laugh and kissed her forehead gently.
"Bani, you know very well, more than anything, I would wait till after we're married till…we you kno…" Jai finished, staring intently at her.
"Yea…me too…i'm glad you respect that" she sighed.
"Mmhmm" Jai nodded, kissing her forehead again.
However, there moment was ruined by a loud, unexpected hammering on the door, which caused Bani to spring of Jai, grab her shirt, hastily do-up her buttons, while flicking her arms wildly at Jai to do the same, grabbing her Jacket and then, ensuring Both her and Jai were decent enough, she called in a high pitched voice, telling Jai to unlock the door and resume his seat quickly.
As Saloni walked in, dressed in a beautiful sari (haha, sorry, just love this girl in a sari!), she met the sight of Jai and Bani pouring over an opened file, deep in some discussion. Peering over their heads, she commented with a snicker "My…didn't know the latest update on Harry Potter caused such great discussions!"
Bani's eyes couldn't have possibly gotten any wider as she stared down at the order sheet for the 7th Harry Potter book she was supposed to do for Rano. Jai, closing his eyes, accepting defeat, kept his head bent low, while Bani looked up at her friend, grinning guiltily, her face positively red.
"Well Ms Dixit…hmmm…hahahaha, forgive me yaar…you two are just unbelievable!" Saloni giggled, however this time Jai turned around and faced her, an evil glint in his eye, and a all too bright smile on his face.
"Sal, don't act innocent…or do you want me to tell Bani what I saw on my last visit to Singh Industries?? Hmmmmm" Ja said, again with the eyebrows, making Saloni go silent instantly, and stare guiltily at Jai's face.
"What'd you see?" asked Bani curiously, staring between her best friend and boyfriend.
"Hun, I'd save that story for another day! I'll be leaving now…dunno where the time went…I have another meeting now!" Jai said, getting up of his chair and donning his jacket. He walked over to Bani, pecked her on the forehead (while she scrunched her nose cutely at him, brushing her lips against his while he brought his head down) waved and winked at Saloni and exited.

Saloni waited till Bani had composed herself and put on what was trying to be a 'not-guilty' look and sat behind her desk then perched herself warily in the chair next to the one from which Jai had risen. Her eyes were twinkling, as if she was reading every guilty thought running through Bani's mind. That had been something Bani found rather alarming and yet comforting about Saloni. It was as if by a mere glance, Saloni could read what was on your mind, and offer her few words of wise advice, or comments, and that was why Bani tried to keep her mind as blank as possible, praying that Saloni would not go physcological on her…but to avail, as usual!
"Oh come off it!" Bani said, after a few minutes of uneasy silence for Bani, pure humor for Saloni.
"Come off what?!" she asked innocently, smiling widely at once more red Bani.
"Oh fine! Fine! I guess you can put two and two together, cause I'm definitely not going into details about my intimate life!" grinned Bani, reclining comfortably in her seat, while Sal just giggled again.
"Acha baba! Yeh sab chor do! I came to invite you to an official girl's night out for next Saturday! No ifs buts or maybes! Samjhe?!" commanded Saloni in a mock stern voice.
"Arre!! Nahiiiin!!!...I have..erm…I have to be in the office the entire of Saturday…voh…actually…" Bani mumbled, stunned!
"No, no no no no no! We are alllll going to be there, and I wont have as much fun without my Bunny!" whined Saloni, instantly frowning and staring at Bani with the most pleading dark eyes she;d ever looked upon.
"Teekh hai" Bani said reluctantly, still trying to make an excuse, "but…I'll have to get back to you for sure…because…yea! I'd get back to you ok jaan?!" Bani concluded, hoping against hope Sal would pick up the messages and grant her permission to not attend!
"Lekin…acha fine…Bunny…you're a loser! *tinkling laughter* But I love you all the same!! Tell that bewakoof BF of yours to remember when having office romance, to check buttons appropriately, pull the collar up to hide those devastating bites and…" she was about to continue when she received a friendly push and she broke out into a fit of giggles, before standing once more.
"Ok, B, i'm going…Nahar is waiting!" Saloni finished, giving her friend a friendly hug before heading out of the office.
"Wait! What was Mr Walia talking about?! What did he see?!!!" Bani exclaimed, suddenly remembering. Saloni froze, her hand on the door, her face colouring instantly.
"Umm…kuck nahin, bas! Acha, byeee Bani!!" and she was out the door before Bani could do anything, so grinning, also putting two and two, she plopped down in her seat and spent the rest of the day feigning reading reports but instead daydreaming and scheming! She was most excited for Jai's birthday, and particularly keen on avoiding the gang of girls, who would pump her for info!
