Sorry guys for starting a new post, but the earlier one was just not letting me add on any new chapters, so am continuing here ........

CHAPTER 7
Where your pleasure is, there is your treasure;
where your treasure, there your heart;
where your heart, there your happiness.
The limo pulls upto the driveway of Jai's mansion and the chauffeur helps him to the door where someone is waiting to assist him. The chauffeur walks back to the limo and gets in. He turns towards Bani and asks, "What should we do Ma'am, drive around the block for a while and come back here? Bani is terrified. She realizes that the chauffeur has recognized her and she doesn't know what to say or do. James can see that she is upset and says, "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me. I won't tell anyone." Bani is confused and asks him, "Why would you do that for me, James. Aren't you worried that I am just after his money, like most people would?" James smiles at her and explains, "Mr. Walia likes you a whole lot. He has talked to me about you. From what he has told me, you aren't interested in his money and after seeing you two together, I can see why. You should tell him who you are Bani. There is no shame in what you do and I am sure it will not change his opinion of you. You need to give him a chance, if u truly love him!"
Bani starts to cry, she feels like her heart is breaking, and through her tears she tells him, "I just can't! He is an important man and I am just his maid. I would never embarrass or humiliate him by giving people a chance to talk behind his back and say that he had to stoop to dating the maid. I just can't do it! I love him too much to put him through that!"
James feels sorry for her and says, "You are a very honorable lady. I hope you two will work this thing out in some way. Shall we go for a short ride, that should make you feel better?" Bani thanks him and they drive around a while and then return to the mansion.
I think that the heart knows,
when a true loving heart comes along,

because it knows they are all wrong.

When she goes into her room, Saloni is waiting for her to find out how her evening was. Bani sits and tells her about her night with Jai. After they retire to bed Bani could not help but think what it was that Jai had said to her in French………….. was he saying goodbye, was he asking her out on another date or was he telling her thank you for going out to dinner with him …………. It kept bugging her whole night, she could not sleep at all, kept twisting and turning in her bed trying to figure out a way by which she could find out what exactly Jai had said to her.
It was almost morning, and Bani still had not been able to sleep, so she sneaked out of her room and walked quickly and quietly towards the library room in the mansion. She thought that Jai's library had a fabulous collection of books, surely she could find something in French out there. With raised hopes she entered the library and started looking around ……………. It was almost 2 hours since she had been looking but alas could not find anything that would be of help to her. In frustration she threw a book on the ground which accidently hit the pot of a plant kept in there and the pot fell down making a loud crashing sound.
Bani panicked and as she tried to clear up the mess quickly before anyone could come in, the butler Tony walked into the library and caught her in the act. He reprimanded her for her mistake and asked her what business she had in Mr. Walia's library. Without giving it much thought Bani just blurted out that she was looking for just any kind of book which contained both French and English words because she had to figure out some letter that she had received from a friend. Tony told her that he did not care much for her excuse and that she should have asked for permission before touching Mr. Walia's valued book collection. Bani was sad, she apologized to Tony, who felt that perhaps he had reacted too strongly, so he told her never to repeat that mistake again and added on "why bother ransacking the library when your fried Saloni knows French. If I remember correctly she used to take French classes in school and I am sure about that because I used to send her books from Mumbai in order to encourage her even more. Why haven't you asked her.
Bani just gave Tony a tight hug and ran back towards her room. How stupid of her she thought to have not told Saloni about Jai's secret code …………… she pushed open the door of her room and jumped into Saloni's bed. She started shaking her out of her slumber and asked "Do you remember any French from school days? Jai said something to me in French and would not tell me what it meant. Can you tell me what he said?"
Saloni who got up with a start shouted back "Are you out of your mind pouncing on me like that. It's been a long time since I went to school. Anyway just tell me what Mr. Walia said and I will see if I can figure out what it is." Bani looks toward the ceiling, trying to remember his exact words. She looks at Saloni and says, "Je t'aime avec tout mon Coeur ……….. Yeahhhhhhhh, that's that's what he said. What does it mean Saloni?"
Saloni shakes her head and asks Bani, "Are you sure you want to know what it means, Sugar?" Bani shakes her head and says, "Jai told me that he hoped that I would find out what he said. It isn't bad is it. If it is then I do not wanna know?" Saloni smiles at her and replies, "Mr. Walia told you that he loved you with all his heart. Now what are you going to do dumbo? Something has got to give, sooner or later!" Bani doesn't know what she should feel. She thinks that she should be happy that he loves her, but she knows that what they have together is just for a short while. It would be easier to say good-bye to him if he didn't love her. She starts crying and says, "It should never have came to this! What have I done, what will I do now?"
I love you but I shouldn't, I'd tell you but I couldn't
I'm the only one who will ever know
So on with my life I'll try to go
I'll try to ignore the sick feeling I get when you're away
And not to hang on every word I hear you say

CHAPTER 8
I just want you to know, how much you mean to me
You are in my heart and soul, that's where you'll always be….
There's not a day that goes by, when I don't think of you
Be it morning, noon or night, you are in everything I do….
I just want you to know, my love continues to grow
I will always be here for you, there is not a thing for you, I would not do….
I just want you to know, JAI, I do love you so
And when my time on earth is through,I will go to my grave loving you…
For the next few nights, Bani decided not to visit Jai at all. Jai was worried sick that something had happened to her. But Bani thought that if she stayed away, maybe he would just forget about her and stop loving her. She loved him with all her heart and soul and deep down she was happy to know that he loved her too. She didn't mean for any of it to happen. She was just going to sneak into his room and check on him, that's all. But when she sneezed, it changed everything.
She never intended for him to fall in love with her. Both of them were living in different worlds and she felt that she did not belong in his nor did he belong in hers.
Why does it take a minute to say hello and forever to say goodbye?
Bani finally couldn't take it any longer. She had to see him once more, just once more even if it was for the last time. She went up the stairs at her usual time and tapped on his door. He had been sitting in a chair near the door and opened it. As soon as he opened the door, he smells the fragrance of her perfume as it drifts into his room. He smiles for the first time in days and asks, "Casper, is that you? I know it's you! I can smell your perfume! Where have you been? I have been worried sick about you! Why haven't you come to see me? Have I done something wrong? Please come in!"
Bani takes Jai by the hand and walks into his room. She helps him get into bed and sits in the chair next to him. He turns his head in her direction and says, "Please talk to me Casper. What have I done wrong. I don't understand. I am sorry I tried to find out about your looks from the doorman at the restaurant, I promise it will never happen again. Please please say something, I can't take your absence and your silence anymore. If you do not speak right now, I swear I will just pull out all my bandages just so that I can see you and hold you and show you what exactly it is I feel for you!"
Jai doesn't see her sorrow as she sits there with tears in her eyes. She finally reaches over and takes his hand and with a breaking heart, says, "I have come here tonight to say goodbye to you. After tonight, I won't be back to see you again." Her words break up as she tries to continue, "I have really enjoyed our time together and I am gonna miss you. Please don't ask me to stay, I can't and I won't! It wouldn't be fair to you or to me, we just do not belong together, you deserve better. I know that you will forget me and go on with your life because that is what I want you to do. But I will never forget you because you have become a part of me now. I thank you for giving me so much happiness in the short span of time we spent together and I will cherish this memory in my heart forever."
Bani couldn't talk anymore, the pain of her heartache was too much to bear. She just sits there crying and holding his hand and trying to convince herself to let go.

for what more could anyone ask

live on your cheeks, and die on your lips "
Jai was so shocked that he couldn't even speak. The thought of not having her in his life made the pain in his heart unbearable. He couldn't just let her go. Not like that. He had to do something but he didn't know what to say or what to do. She had to know that he loved her. She would have to stay if she knew that! He tries to speak, "You can't leave me! I lo…. But before he could say it, Bani stood up and put her hand over his mouth. She knew what he was going to say and couldn't bear to hear him say it, because she knew that it couldn't be.
"I'm not supposed to love you, I'm not supposed to care
I'm not supposed to love my life wishing you were there
I'm not supposed to wonder where you are or what you do ………..
I'm sorry I can't help myself, I'm in love with you."
She tells him softly, "Please don't say it. It won't change a thing. I just want you to know that I love you and in the Cathedral of my heart, I will always have a candle burning just for you. I've got to go now. Please don't ask me to stay. You promised me, when we first met, that you wouldn't stop me when it was time for me to go. Now, is that time. Good bye Jai and take care of yourself and be happy."
Bani then starts to cry like her life is over. Jai remembers his promise to her and says with sorrow in his heart, "I told you that I would keep my word, Casper. I won't try and stop you. But I will find you one day and there is nothing that you can do about it. I will find you or then loose myself forever!"
I Want You to Know …………………. Goodbyes are not forever, Goodbyes are not the end
They simply mean I'll miss you, Until we meet again!
Deep down, Bani wanted to hear Jai say something like that, but she couldn't give him false hope so she said "For your own good, please don't try Jai. Just let me go the way I came, like a ghost in the darkness."
Jai's heart was broken. He tried to smile one last time for her and asked, "Could you do me one last favor before you go?" Bani squeezes his hand and asks, "What can I do for you?" Jai turns his head towards her and says "Will you kiss me good bye Casper. I want to remember you by your kiss. Would you do that for me."
Bani bends over, with tears streaming down from her eyes and she puts her lips on his. They kiss like there is no tomorrow. Jai promises himself that he would never forget that kiss and would, one day, find his Casper again.
"You and I will meet again, when we're least expecting it
One day in some far off place, I will recognize your face
I won't say goodbye my friend, for you and I will meet again"
Bani couldn't bear the pain anymore. As she is pulling away, she says for the last time, "Good-bye, Jai." She turns and runs out of the room. When she gets back to her room, she falls across the bed and cries herself to sleep.

When I loved you, I was afraid to kiss you ……..

CHAPTER 9
If I never met you, I wouldn't like you
If I didn't like you, I wouldn't love you
If I didn't love you, I wouldn't miss you ……………… But I did, I do, and I will, till I find you !
The days went by and Jai finally had his bandages removed. He could see again, all his scars were healed except for his heart which was in pain. He vowed to himself that he would find Casper. He started calling all the women that he knew and asked them out, one at a time. He figured that one of them had to be Casper. How else would she have known him? He took them to the same restaurant, hoping the doorman would recognize her. If that was not possible then after every date Jai would kiss her in the hope that it would arise the same special feelings in him which he felt after kissing the woman that he had fallen in love with. He got more and more disappointed with each kiss, but yet decided that he would never give up until he found her.
Bani spends her days in the back part of the mansion. She couldn't bear the thought of seeing the man that she loved with other women. She thought that he was just going on with his life as she had told him to. She didn't know his reason for dating all those women. She also quit wearing the perfume that he could recognize her by and stayed mostly to herself.
As time went on, Saloni couldn't stand to see her best friend so heartbroken. She decided to take matters into her on hands. She had found out through the chauffeur that Jai had wanted to find Casper so he could take her to the "Governor's Ball'". He wanted all of his friends and associates, to see the woman that he loved and to ask her to take his hand in marriage. He was getting desperate. He finally called Roshni Chopra up and asked her to come over. He thought that Casper's voice sounded a little like hers but deep down he was hoping that it wasn't her. She just didn't seem like she could be Casper, she was too cold and calculated. But he was willing to try anything to find his Casper.
The morning that Roshni was supposed to come over to the mansion, Saloni got up early and took all but one of Bani's uniforms and hid them. She then took the last one off the hanger and put a lot of Bani's perfume on it and hung it back up in the cupboard. When Bani grabbed it from the closet to put it on, she noticed that it smelled like her perfume. She then looks for her other uniforms but they were all gone. She turns toward Saloni and says, "All my uniforms are gone but this one and it smells like my perfume. Do you know where the rest of my uniforms are, Saloni?"
Saloni tries to keep a straight face and says, "I'm sorry about the smell, Honey. I was trying some of that perfume of yours and spilled it all over the place. I put all of your uniforms in the laundry except that one. I knew you had to have something to wear today."
At first, Bani was upset over having to wear a uniform that would give her away to Jai but she thought that since she works in the back of the mansion, he wouldn't be able to smell her anyways. She went ahead and put it on and told Saloni that she was going to work and walked out of the room.
Later that day, Roshni Chopra arrived and met with Jai. After speaking with her for a few minutes, he realized that there was no way that she could possibly be Casper. He was walking her to her car when Saloni walks up to him and says, "Sir, I need you to come see something immediately. I'm afraid that it can't wait!" Jai looks at her with concern on his face and asks, "What is it, Saloni? What's wrong?" Saloni continues, "I don't know how to describe it, Sir. You will have to come see it yourself."
Jai turns towards Roshni and says, "Thanks for coming by. I will catch-up with you later. I need to go find out what she is talking about. Good-bye, Roshni." Jai turns and follows Saloni to the back of the mansion. She finally walks up to the door of the room that Bani is working in. Bani sees Jai coming in and turns her back to him and pretends to continue working. Her heart is beating like it will burst open from her chest. She wonders what Saloni was up to. She only knows that she can't let Jai get too close to her.
Jai turns to Saloni and asks, "Where is the problem, Saloni? I don't see anything wrong." Saloni points toward where Bani is working and says, "It's right over there. Can't you see it?" Jai turns and walks toward where Bani is standing. Bani sees him coming and walks further away from where she was standing. Jai walks over to where she was at and looks around. He turns and looks at Saloni and gives her a confused and irritated look and says, "I don't see anything, Saloni. What is this all about?"
Saloni points at Bani again and says, "If you go right over there, I think that you will find out what it is all about!" Jai sees Saloni nodding her head toward Bani and so he walks toward Bani. She tries to walk away yet again but he says, "Wait right there, please." Jai still doesn't know what this is all about until he gets close to Bani. Bani continues to stand there with her back facing him. Jai finally smells her perfume and realizes that it is none other that his Casper.
His heart starts racing as he puts his hand on her shoulder and asks, "Casper, is that you?" Bani is afraid to turn around as tears slowly run down her cheeks. She answers in a low voice, "I don't know what you are talking about, Sir. I am not Casper. My name is Bani." Jai slowly turns her around and looks into her eyes for the first time. He couldn't believe how beautiful she was. She was prettier than he had ever imagined. He reaches over with his hand and wipes the tears that were running down her face. He looks over at Saloni and asks her, "Do you have something that I can use to cover my eyes?" Saloni reaches into the pocket of her apron and pulls out a clean rag and brings it to him. He asks her to tie it around his eyes. Saloni puts the blindfold on him and he turns toward Bani and asks, "Do you mind if I do a little experiment? I promise that it won't hurt." Bani doesn't know what to do. She just stands there with her heart beating out of control.
Jai bends down and kisses her. Bani couldn't help but kiss him back. It felt good to be in his arms once more. After they kiss he pulls off the blindfold and grabs her and says. "I found you! I told you that I would and I did! Why the hell did you hide from me?" Bani points to her uniform and says, "I'm your maid, Mr. Walia. What will your friends say?"
Before he could answer, a voice from the doorway exclaimed, "A maid! You're kissing a maid! What are you thinking, Jai?" Roshni had followed Saloni and Jai to see what was going on. Jai turns and looks at Roshni and says, "I would advise you not to speak that way about my future wife!" He turns back to Bani and says, "That's if she will have me as her husband." Bani looks up with tears streaming down her eyes and shakes her head and says "Yes, Je t'aime avec tout mon Coeur." Jai just laughs out loud, then he pulls Bani closer and they embrace, their bodies melting into one.
Saloni looks at Roshni and says, "Get out of here with your snooty self! Can't you see that these two want to be alone?" Roshni turns and walks away in a huff. As Saloni is closing the door, Jai turns and says, "Thank you, Saloni. I will never be able to thank you enough. Saloni looks at Jai and smiles as she closes the door and says, "A big fat raise would be nice!"

Prologue
Jai and Bani were getting married. Every single one of his employees from the mansion was invited. After the wedding Jai's father walks up to them ands asks him, "How were you able to find some one as beautiful as her. Jai looks down at Bani and smiles and turns to his father and says, "I have a nose for pretty women, Dad." Both Jai and Bani knew what he was talking about and so they laughed.
Jai took Bani to Paris for their honeymoon. After they returned Bani made Saloni her personal assistant. She also asked Jai if James could be her personal chauffeur. She owed both of them so much.
Every once in a while Jai still calls Bani, "Casper".
