Part 2:
Bani made sure everyone was sleeping. She checked up on Pia and Rano and made sure they were both sleeping. Pia was not only sleeping but snoring as well. New discoveries every day Bani! 😆 Then she tiptoed to her Papa's bedroom and saw that he was sound asleep as well. Time to set plan in action. She ran up to her bedroom and slowly opened the window. It creaked. Bani froze. There was no sound. She pushed the window open further. She put her hands together and closed her eyes, "Dear God…dear god…dear god…make sure nothing happens to me!" 😆 Then, she took a deep breath, threw her dupatta on the bed, and climbed out the window. See now, her bedroom's on the second floor. She slowly put one foot on the tree branch, then another. She made sure her dress didn't get caught and inched her way down the tree. Then she thought she heard something. The next thing she knew – she lost her balance and fell right onto Jai Walia. 😆 😆
Bani: Jai? Tum yaha kya kar rahe ho?
Jai: tumhe dekhne aa raha tha…tum kaha ja rahi thi?
Bani: tumhe dekhne! 😆
Then they both burst out laughing. Immediately Bani covered his lips and said, "Ssshhh…Papa uth jayenge!"
Jai got up and pulled Bani up as well.
Bani: ok…pehle tum batao. Kya hua? Maasi ne kuch kaha?
Jai: nahi…aisa kuch nahi hua…come with me, I want to show you something.
Then he held her hand and began walking.
Bani with a smile on her face: But Jai, atleast tell me where we're going!
Jai stopped in his tracks, took her face in both hands, winked and said: We're eloping! 😆 😆
Bani (awestruck): WHAT?!?!?
Jai burst out laughing: I was just kidding! Now, be quiet and come with me!
Bani, still a little shocked: Of course I knew you were kidding! I mean, why would WE elope?
Jai looked at her and gave her a half-smile: right…
They continued walking through a deserted area with trees on either side. Bani had to admit, it was beautiful. But where exactly was he taking her? For a second there, when he said they were eloping, she had wanted to believe it. To run away from all responsibilities with Jai and no one else – that would be a dream come true. But she had to get back to reality. Lost in thought, Bani followed Jai until he came to a complete stop. Then she ran into him. 😆
Bani: oops, sorry! Where are we, Jai?
Jai: close your eyes!
Bani: NO! tell me! What are you going to do?
Jai sighed in exasperation and covered her eyes with his hands. Then he pushed her forward and stopped. He pushed her head up so she'd have a view of the sky and slowly removed his hands. When she opened her eyes, he pointed up at the sky and said, "Look!"
The sky was beautiful. It was a full moon. There were stars scattered everywhere. It was beautiful. It was extraordinary. But it was something Bani saw everyday!
Bani: It's the sky Jai! Why are you showing it to me?
Jai looked confused: Isn't it beautiful? Don't you like it?
Bani: No…I love it! I just don't understand…why are you showing it to me?
Jai smiled and looked up: After I left your house last night, I came up here. It was absolutely amazing…(he looked into Bani's face now) and I wanted to share it with you.. 😳
Bani's eyes grew wide: really?
Jai smiled: yea…I wanted to see it with you…
Bani's breath was shaky: why?
Jai: because you're special Bani. 😳 😳
Bani stopped breathing completely: Well, you're special too Jai! 😳
Jai grinned at her: I know!
Bani raised her eyebrows: you know?
Jai: everyone tells me that all the time! You know, I am after all, Jai Walia! 😆 😆
Bani laughed at him and they headed back home.

By the time Bani said goodbye and neared her house, it was pretty late. She was quietly tiptoeing towards the tree when the front door slammed open.
Bani thought, "uh oh…I'm caught!"
Rano: Di, is that you?
Bani: Rano, what are you doing up? Go to sleep!
Rano: Di, it's Papa….
