Granted that you would probably want a long and successful run for this show, my "professional" opinion would be to keep it short and sweet. I have seen many Indian soaps suffer and lose that special charisma when the story goes on and on for the sake of keeping the show moving!
KS is a beauiful show, well-casted, well-staged, and well -performed. But, I seriously do believe that it is starting to slip. Presently, I find myself very uninterested in the show as there is hardly anything really happening in the show. Simply put, it is chaotic. For instance, what is the real essence of Jai and Bani storyline at present??? There seems to be a lot happening; yet, there is really nothing happening in the show. It is simply being dragged.
When I first started to watch KS, I truly felt that it was something different...a one of a kind show. Now, it seems like it is a typical Balaji show with far too may complications, too may twists and turns, which lead nowhere...but, extends the shelf life of the show with the network.
There is absolutely no Indian show that takes your breath away. KS started off on the right track...the story kept our hearts and minds glued to the characters and to every bit that was happening. As soon as the Park Rd. raaz was somewhat revealed, the story seems to have scattered everywhere...no sar or pyar!
Jai, for instance, appears more concerned about Bani carrying his child than Bani herself...this is totally contradictory to where the story was headed...he was feeling some true emotions/feelings of love towards her...what happened to overcast shadow over those emotions...Bani, too, has suddenly become too cold (and I say this keeping her reasons in mind), and has lost touch with her true heart...
In addition, I strongly believe that true depth of emotions and expression on part of these lead characters has really been missing for sometime...their expressions fail to touch the viewers with the same depth as they used to....it is being performed a a very superficial level...where is the pain that true lovers should feel under such circumstances,...where is the yearning for each others love,...what happened to the notion of rationale and forgiveness...DO NOT tell me that is all of the above were there, then there would not be any storyline. In fact, there would be a real challenge for the creatives to put their creativity to test and prove how Indian television can outshine the west!
In the end, I would like to say that plz move away from typical Indian soapy problems (which are consistent from one soap to another) and plz plz be different, be original.
Keep this soap short, but sweet!
