I especially remember our third child, as we didn't believe I could be pregnant(because I missed the signs, not because of lack of romance 😳 ) An X-ray had to be taken and the hospital refused to do so,as I was not 1oo% sure that there was no baby. So i was doing a home test and to my surprise was pregnant, than my husband and me were all excited with this surprise. But we had no idea about when it happened......
So an echo was done soon and, o shock, it was already 21 weeks! That was a short pregnancy!
But we were very happy and our son proved very lucky for us! (Of course our girls too!!! Im so happy and proud with my three!)
About fainting: I have seen 15 pregnancies of my sisters in law and myself and nobody ever fainted, just sometimes feeling "light in the head" or seeing black spots a little, especially in the first three months.
And about deliveries: these tv-
drama's drive me crazy - they show so much shouting and unbearable pain, but believe me: the pain is (just) bearable and i was very lucky to be present at the birth of eight children of three sisters in law (because of language problems they face in this country, I'm the only Dutch in the family)plus my own three and really: nobody ever shouted! Just grinding your teeth together, take the pain and use all your power.
Deliveries are wonderfull,so meaningfull and I always felt so proud of my sisters (and myself), very proud to be a woman and be able to do it!!
I'm afraid that how pregnancies/deliveries are being shown in the tv-drama's, it becomes very frightening for young women to think about the delivery 😭
So, don't be afraid girls, you can also do it, when your time comes!
I'm sorry for getting carried away, nobody asked for this lecture of me, but I'm a very emotional person, just can't contol myself. Sorry!
OMG! As i read teh first 2-3 lines i was sure my mom was on KS Forum😕
That was the same story when my mom was pregnant with me. She had gone to the hospital for something and that needed the xray and the lab technician insisted she should check if she was pregnant and she was! Even i was considered the lucky charm for my family... which is why they thing they spoilt me rotten Kudh spoil karte hai aur ab mujhe sunate hain😆
I have seen my sister's pregnancies... It was tough for both of them. Both my nephews were pre-mature, I dont knowwhy on earth were they in such a hurry. My sisters was coming home for the delivery and the next day was supposed to be teh godh baraye but she developed pain on the flight and was rushed directly to the hospital... my jeeju was convinced it cant be labour... but then it was. My eldest nephew was born in the 7th month and was in the incubator for 45 days... we saw him after 45 dyas... he developed all kinds of complicationa and had to be given a blood tranfusion as well. That time really killed all of us... My sister was miserable... thank god for my Jeeju's was her strenght... teh poor guy was even more in a miserable state coz my sister's health was even worse and she was becoming even worse coz of her tension... After 45 days just to see was such a relief... those 45 days changed me completely.
And my 2nd nephew came along a well one month in advance My sister had come home for the devilery, Jeeju had dropped her and went back to come when the baby was due. It was chirtmas and dad was out of station to attend a family function. It was late in the night... she was sulking the whole day, i got blasted by her so i was quiet and watching 'Jingle all the way' giggling away to glory all by myself when my sis suddenly came and told me 'My water broke' and I was like WHAT? She was panicking and i didnt understand why? She snapped at me 'Idiot go wake up Ma' and then my mom called my uncle and we rished her to the hospital... hers was induced labour... after 8 hours my 2nd nephew was born. he was fine... My dad rushed back the next morning. myeldest sis came and so i went home... i came back after 2 hours and i was like where is the baby and they say, he was taken to the incubator... i was like not agian.
Uff it wasnt the easiest of deliveries for them... but i guess it was worth all the pain when u see the kids
Again hats off to all the mothers who nuture the child from the word go and endure every pain to make us smile. Love u Mom😃
