I agree that Jai should realize the scope of Bani's love, but when you've been hurt too many times it makes you wary. Besides he thinks that maybe in some ways Bani's love is misplaced, and that it is mostly respect and duty towards him that she mistakes as love. Him saying that our relation if not love is of understanding and trust, and in some parts respect for one another and having shared what goes on between a couple. When the Raaz is revealed and Bani still sticks to him undevotedly, he will finally understand that Bani's love for him is true and not some misplaced infactuation or emotion, also that if someone who can learn of his dark past, and look beyond that at him as a person, a human who is allowed to commit mistake, and look past his mistake and love him, then it will allow him to completely committ to Bani, which I think in some way even Bani realizes that it is this Raaz that keeps Mr. Walia from opening himself to her. She talking to herself asks Mr Walia what is this Raaz that keeps you from me? I think she loves him so much that she sees that the raaz is eating him up of sorts and wants to be able to share his pain, that is why she attempts suh foolish acts. So I think after today Mr. Walia will be able to open up to his wife and support her the way she needs in her life. It will allow him to stand by her and provide that pillar that she can lean on.
Hopefully that made sense and I wasn't rambling
