Part 13-Conclusion

Bani: looks down smiling. Please
Jai naughtily: nahi. Mein nahi maan raha. Mujhe batao kyu bhaag rahi ho mujhse. Ab itni bhi kya sharam. Kal raat to kuch aur hi kar rahi thi. Agar yaad nahi to mein yaad dila doo.
Bani: Dadi bula rahi hai
Jai: tumhare kaan baj rahe hai. Aur mere khayal se tum meri biwi ho employee nahi. To yeh Mr. Walia achha nahi lag raha. Waise to bohot dino se kehna chahta tha par chalo ab hi sahi
Bani: Mr. Walia mein aapko kuch aur nahi bol sakti.
Jai still holding her by the waise: kyu nahi. Try to karo. Jai. Simple
Bani: nahi
Jai: Jai
Bani: nahi
Jai: acha chalo suniye bhi chalega
Bani: Suniye
Jai: Ji kahiye
Bani: Dadi bula rahi hai
Jai: jayeeye, lekin jaldi ayeeye, Kam adhura chhodna achha nahi hota. Masi ko vada diya hai, pura karna hai
Bani just walks away quickly.


Its night time. Bani returns to their room. Although, through the day, with her constant interactions with Jai, she has reached a comfort level, she still is somewhat hesitant. Jai is watching a cricket match on TV, relaxing on his bed, when Bani comes to lie next to him facing the other way. His attention is immediately diverted to his pretty wife. He lies next to her facing the same direction as her, after turning the TV off, and places his arm over her waist.

I love you….

Bani has a quiet smile playing on her lips

I think I said I love you

Bani quietly: me too

Jai: matlab
Bani: matlab, me too
Jai: mein bhi kya
Bani: aap bhi…plz stop teasing me!
Jai innocently: teasing? Sirf ek simple question poocha maine

He pretends to get upset, and turns around. Turns off the lamp by his side and pretends to sleep when he feels a hand on his shoulder. He doesn't budge.

A whisper: me too matlab main bhi, aur main bhi ka matlab hai,… I love you too….

As a sudden urge envelopes her, she slides her hand over his, and clasps her fingers with his. She raises their clasped palms, and brushes her cheek against his hand as if to assure herself that everything is real, and….to assure him too.

Jai who was lying on his side, now lies on his back, his face facing upward. A smile appears on his face as he stares at his wife, realizing, yet again, how beautiful she is. Bani who is resting on her side facing him suddenly feels an urge to show him how much she loves him, takes a step forward, shedding any hesitation that remained, as she wraps her arm around him and rests her face on his chest………

The next morning:

Jai is getting ready and Bani is helping him out.

Bani: main aapse kuch kehna chahti thi
Jai: bolo na, itna hesitation kis liye
Bani: wo, Rano, actually main aap se chhupaana nahi chahti kuch bhi
Jai: Bani relax. Actually Sahil ne mujhe bata diya sab
Bani, surprised, afraid of Jai's reaction: sab kuch…aur aap gussa…
Jai: mein bhi tumse baat karne wala tha, dekho Bani main pyar ke khilaf kabhi nahi tha aur na aaoonga. Agar mujhe zindagi tumhare saath, apne pyaar ke saath bitani ko mil rahi hai, to Sahil ko bhi pura hak hai, aur Sahil ab bada ho chukka hai, uski zindagi hai, wahi faisla lega, hai na?
Bani: lekin mujhe dar lag raha hai isme aage badne se
Jai coming closer to her: kaisa dar Bani
Bani: yehi ki Jigyasa aunty aur Ranvir ko Rano se problem hogi
Jai taking her hands in his: Agar aage chal kar Rano ko problem hogi, to yeh mat bhulo ki hum hai, aur hum se badhkar, Aditya hai aur Sahil to hamesha hoga.
Bani hugs him: thanks…. I feel better
Jai: Bani Im really really happy today. Im so glad you shared this with me. Hamare beech sab kaanch ki tarha saaf hona chahiye

Its Rano's and Sahil's last day at college. Ever since Sahil proposed Rano, she has been avoiding him because she does not want to expose her feelings to him. Rano is returning home in an auto. The auto stops at the gas station for a while. Rano is looking outside when

SCREECH!!!!!!

A tall, handsome man, with his hair gelled back, in a white Benz, gets down and he runs towards the a young boy, 8-10 years old, crying in pain.

He goes to him, and starts checking his body for any serious damage when a crowd gathers.

Rano is watching, she can only see the man's back.

Someone in the crowd: arre dekho dekho bachhe ko mar dala, haye, mar dala
Another one to the man: hato, hato, haath mat lagao, ameer ho to kya hua, kisi ki bhi jaan loge

Man: arre ise chot lagi hai, pehle hospital lekar chalte hai

Crowd: haath mat lagao bachhe ko, koi police ko bulao, kya samajhte hai yeh log apne aap ko

Man: dekhiye, bewakoofi mat kijiye, bachche ko hospital lekar chalte hai, phir dekhenge.

Crowd: Iski baat mat mano, apne aap ko bachana chahta hai

Rano starts walking toward the crowd and she is shocked! : Tum!

The crowd is still not dispersing, nobody is helping the boy, rather everyone is wasting precious time.

Rano shouting: Bachcha ro raha hai!!!!

The man is shocked to see her.

Both help the boy up and seat him in the car.

Crowd: yeh aap kya kar rahi hai, jisne maara hai usi ke saath bachche ko

Cutting them Rano shouts: Galti inki nahi hai!! Maine sab dekha. Bachcha hi kahi se bhagta hua, achanak beech mein aagaya. Aap log police ko bulana chahte hai na?? Toh bulayiye!!! Jab mein inki hak mein gawahi doongi, to police bhi kuch nahi karege. Aap log to abhi abhi aye hai, bina kuch dekhe hi ilzaam laga rahe hai!

Everybody is silenced.

Rano: Chalo, and sits at the back with the injured boy to support him.

Relieved, the man drives the boy to the nearest hospital. The boy gets treated and the doctors discharge him saying he is fine. The man drops the boy at his home as the boy guides him to his place, and then he drives Rano to her home too.

Man full of relief, a little soft, yet curt: Thanks Rano

Rano: Its ok Ranveer. Maine bas sach kaha, tumhari galti nahi thi

Man retaining his attitude: Waise police to mera kuch nahi bigarti, par tumhari wajah se mein is jhamele se bach gaya. Mera time waste nahi hua. Meri meeting hai kuch hi der mein. Jald hi hisaab pura kar doonga.

Rano smirking: Its ok, yeh koi ehsaan nahi tha, koi aur bhi hota toh mein yahi karti

Ranveer zooms away.

On his way thinking: Koi aur hota to tum yahi karti. But Im surprised you did this for me, after all the insults… oh whatever. I have to rush to the meeting.

Its evening. At the Walia House:

Jigyasa walks down the stairs towards Bani who is sitting with Dadi in the hall:

Jigyasa: tum abhi bhi yaha kya kar rahi ho?! Bhool gayi to yaad dila doo, Masi ko jaa kar 1 din ho gaya, pack your bags and get going. And don't forget to take your sister with you!

Bani calmly: Jigyasa aunty, ab haalaat badal gaye hai

Dadi is watching, worrying.

Jigyasa: Achcha? Haalaat badal gaye hai? Main bhi to jaanu kaise. Aisa kyu nahi kehti ki is aish aur aram ki aadat ho gayi hai

Jai, Aditya and Ranveer return from work

Jai: Jigyasa yeh kya ho raha hai? Tumhara tamasha phir se shuru ho gaya!

Jigyasa: Jai bhaiyya aap mujhe keh rahe hai, aur is Bani ko

Jai quietly yet sternly: Jigyasa Bani kahi nahi jaa rahi. Aur kyu jaaye wo. Wo yahi rahegi. I have accepted this marriage whole heartedly, and I expect the same from you. Don't create any scenes anymore. I hope you understand.

Hearing the commotion, Sahil and Rano come downstairs. Seeing everyone gathered, Sahil suddenly musters up the courage and speaks up


Sahil: Ma mujhe aap se kuch kehna hai

Rano is paralyzed with fear. She is standing jittery, waiting for some more sweet words from Jigyasa.

Sahil: main sab se samne kehna chahto hoon ki main Rano ko pasand karta hoon aur uske saath apni zindagi guzarna chahta hoon.

Jigyasa cannot believe she heard what he did, she widens her eyes in shock as she says: What did you say?!
Sahil: Mom I want to marry Rano

Jigyasa: Sahil how dare you say that!?! Apni maa ke samne yeh kehne ki himmat kaise ki? Just make one thing clear, nobody is supporting you in this. I hope you get it!

Sahil: Im sorry Ma, but except you everyone is ok with it….

Jigyyasa to Jai: dekh liya bhaiyya, kaha tha maine

Jai: Jigyasa calm down. Sahil has matured into a responsible boy now

Jigyasa: aap bhi! Aditya samjhao apne bete ko

Aditya: Jigyasa main apne bete aur uske pyaar ke saath hoon. Jigyasa ye mat bhulo ki hamari bhi love marriage hui thi. To tum yeh hak apne bete se kaise cheen sakti ho

Jigs: Tumse to baat karna hi bekar hai, Ranveer why are you standing quietly, say something

Ranveer thinks for a while, seriously: Ma main, mujhe bhi koi aitraaz nahi

Jigs with teary eyes, humiliated, heartbroken: Tum bhi? Koi mere saath nahi hai….

She gives one nasty look to Rano and Sahil as she runs to her room. Ranveer follows her but is stopped by Aditya, who goes instead. Everyone disperses from the hall.

Jigyasa is crying her heart out in her room, when she feels a hand on her shoulder. Without looking, assuming it is Ranveer, she hugs him back, speaking incoherently, in between her sobs.

After quite some time, she releases him, only to question him
Jigs: Ranveer tumne haan kyu kaha
Adi: Jigyasa
Jigs looks surprised: Tum
Jigs still sobbing: tum yaha… achcha laga na meri beizzatti dekh kar
Adi: Jigyasa tumne mujhe samjha hi nahi. Haan, its true I don't agree with your thoughts but that does not mean Im happy to see you in pain. Even today, it hurts me to see you in pain. But you wont believe it
Jigyasa who is in need of emotional support breaks down: I don't have any rights over this house! Meri to chalti hi nahi. Ab to yeh ghar Bani ka ho gaya hai. Mera to koi ghar hi nahi. Apne bhai ke ghar mein padi hoon.

Jigs: Sab tumhari wajah se!!!

Aditya placing his hand over hers: nahi Jigyasa, yeh tumhari wajah se hua. Tum kabhi samjhi hi nahi. Mera ghar chod kar tum aayi thi yahan. And you never even understood why I came here. Only for you and the kids. I wanted to stay closer to our kids, esp. since they were in your custody. But another truth is that I wanted to be near you just incase you needed me. That's why I came to stay with Jai. Didn't you ever realize that? If you wanted you could have had your own home.

Jigyasa is still crying away. She is sobbing loudly after hearing Aditya.

Aditya places his arm around her shoulders:
Aditya: Jigyasa, Anu ki shadi ho gayi hai, Jai ki apni family hogi aage chal kar, dadi se tumhari banti nahi hai. Sahil Rano ke saath settle hona chahta hai. Sirf Ranveer bacha hai , wo bhi office mein busy hoga. Don't you feel you are all alone

Jigyasa crying: what are you trying to say

Aditya: I… I want us to undo what we did, I want you to be the mistress of your own home, I want companionship for myself, and I want to share everything with you……..

Ok Im ready for all the gaalis you guys have for me!! Sorry for being so late!!!!!!!! Really really sorry! Talk about being cliche w.r.t Ranveer + Rano + Accident! 😆 Couldnt think of anything else to get Ranveer to agree!
