i think that mayb he is falling in love with her and wants to give her, her freedom to choose either him or divorce. mayb he feels that she is staying with him out obligation especially becoz of masi and wants her to come to him freely.

hey gal...take a breath!! i actually think that it's a good thing as Jai says he doesn't want to hurt her anymore...that's why he's giving her a divorce...he's feeling guilty and maybe has even started developing some feelings for her!
