Congratulations MT for being the bakra of the week! First of all, a big Thank You for the fab updates you provide.

Wow mink itne saare questions...kuch hamare liye bhi bachake rakhati😆 I was overwhelmed just reading them...poor MT has to answer them😆

Why wait for a year? I would get him totally drunk, seduce him, get him to sign over all his money in my name and get him murdered immediately! Problem solved!

2) If you get a chance to visit the Tajmahal will you just enjoy the beauty of Taj & think that it represents LOVE dedication artistry or will you sit & perfer to do mobile computing (googling abt Taj) sitting in front of it and thinking abt the wonders of computing. Explain in a few words

I have been to the TAJ atleast 2 dozen times in my lifetime......infact my hubby and I spent our first wedding anniversary there! And surprisingly the Taj casts a mesmerizing spell over you, every time you visit the monument....and this is coming from a complete cynic like me! Every time I go to the Taj, I just keep staring at it for hours, thinking how lucky Mumtaz Mahal must have been to have found a husband who never let his beloved's memory fade away, from his heart and from the World, even 20 years after her Death! (I tried to pen a funny answer to this one, but couldn't......the Taj holds a special place for me and perhaps in the Heart of every Indian )

3) Is there anything important enough to risk your life for? If yes what is it?

For a mother, there has to be only one thing worth risking everything for....her child!

4) Is there something you've dreamed of doing for a long time? Why haven't you done it?

I have always wanted to have an extra-marital affair....with a hot, handsome, younger man......I haven't done it because for that I would have to undergo a very expensive full-body and face cosmetic surgery (to hook such a man)....and my piggy bank doesn't have enough money to support that!

5) What's the dumbest purchase you've ever made?

A hideously expensive, extremely unpractical, satin red negligee.......for my honeymoon! Thankfully, I tried it on beforehand and after looking at the grotesque image in the mirror, happily gave it to a friend.....and thank god for that, cause if my hubby would have seen me in it, I would surely not have been married for half a decade now! I spent a bomb on the purchase and have lived to regret it till date!

6) What do you like best about your life? Least?

The fact that I can stay at home and see my child growing up every moment of the day! Seriously, its like sitting in the front row of life and seeing history created everyday through your child....such is the pleasure of Motherhood!

Paradoxically the thing I like least about my life is the fact that my family has become my oyster......I miss my financial and social independence which my job gave me!

7) What has been the biggest disappointment in your life?

None!

8) What is the greatest accomplishment of your life apart from passing your math exam in 10th grade?

Finding a man like my husband and getting married to him!
9) What is the most romantic present anyone has ever given you?

Flowers....what else? Men have the imagination of a broiler-chicken when it comes to giving presents to women

10) What is a friend to you and what qualities should a good friend possess?

A true friend is the greatest of all blessings, and that which we take the least care of all to acquire. We know our friends more through their defects rather than their merits! Hence, I can only write what I wouldn't want to see in my friend rather than what I would like to see in him / her!

11) Would you like to be immortal? Why and why not?

Not at all...Nature gives and takes back life and surely has a reason to do so! Why imbalance something that God has so perfectly created? And besides, I am a patriotic person and have no interest in further increasing my country's population by not dying on time!

12) What is ur idea of a perfect married couple?

Two imperfect individuals coming together to make a perfect whole, would define my idea of a perfect married couple!


13) We all know by now that you are a creative minded person let us know are you a day dreamer or a very practical person?

I try and hard to be a practical person but unfortunately, I am quite a "Mungerilal" in reality....

14) If everyone on earth looked exactly the same - your two/three sentence views on this.

Procreation would come to a full-stop! I mean who the hell wants to have sex with a person who reminds you of yourself!

15) If you could travel forward or backward in time would you choose to go forward / backward and why?

Definitely backward.....if lucky, destiny and good health prevail, I will live to see the future.....but the past is something that I will never be able to know!

16) Do we have souls or are our personalities by-products of our brain development?

A man likes to think that a woman is more dependent on him, while a woman likes to make a man think that she is indeed more dependent on him We all know what the truth is, isn't it!

Oh nothing really…..just break into Vikram Seth's house when he is not around and steal any of his forthcoming manuscript and give it to a publisher by the break of dawn! Just make sure, to change the author's name!

19) What is the one thing you treasure?

My childhood memories!

20) How do you imagine yourself riding across the universe on a photon beam of light?

Only when I am high on dope!

21) What if you could take formless energy and instantly shape it into any physical thing you desired?

You live in the US, right? Well, if the above could come true, you would probably lose your beloved President! I would take the shape of Osama and land up in the Oval Office at the White House and Wham…Wham….Bang…..the world is suddenly a better place!

22) What do u think about love? If you were a person of pure unconditional love, how would you think, feel and act, and how different would your life be?

Love is the only emotion which can become the biggest high of your life or lead you to the depths of despair! Love is the second most powerful emotion a human being can experience after Hatred! No human being is ever capable of pure, unconditional love…….such a love can only be experienced by Dogs!

23) What is Flirting according to you? Do you think it is healthy?

Flirting is the biggest ego-booster ever invented by a man for women! And anything that makes a woman feel younger, happier and attractive is bound to be healthy….at least from her point of view!

Every Father is a girl's first love and also her first hero / idol! I used to idolize my dad a lot and till date no one has been able to take his place!

I had philosophy as a major subject in College, can't say I liked it too much, though! But amongst the lot I studied, I used to find Gandhian Philosophy to be the closest to my heart! Practical to follow, easy to learn and very close to true life!

26) Do u like Poetry? Whose ur favorite poet?

I like poetry a lot! Wordworth has always been my favourite poet! My favourite Wordsworth poem has been "Anecdote for Fathers"….its a must read for all parents!

27) Which is the last book you have read and what you liked abt it?

Five Point Someone by Chetan Bhagat! It was totally howlarious! The book was funny in a dark sort of way, very racy and extremely nostalgic as the story of the book was based in Delhi and reminded me of my College days! It's a must read!

28) "Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardour and attended to with diligence." Explain why?

Everything that gives you something in return has to be followed with ardor and attended to with diligence as you so fancily penned! Same goes with learning also!

29) What is fame according to you?

Very fickle indeed!

30) What do you think is the true measure of a man? Is it how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good agree or disagree.

Yes! The true measure of a man is the way he treats people who have no bearing on his life, have never done him any good and don't owe him anything…if he still gives them a basic respect and dignity that every human being deserves….then truly he is a man of great measure!

Only if it's the judge that is deaf does it no longer have the right to be called a hearing. Along same lines as "tree falls in wood, no one there to hear it."

I can't possibly answer that, I have been on neither!

Have you ever seen a round box in your life?

Making dishwashing liquid with real lemons because the acid in it can take the grease and stuff of the plates easier than the fake stuff can. Drinking stuff with fake lemon juice is probably better for your stomach and intestines than the real stuff anyway.

Possibly because Hell has only two weather's to be enjoyed!

I have'nt seen Anaahat but I have both read and seen Chokher Bali!!! A woman's capacity for manipulation is unlimited....history proves it! Right from Cleopatra to Drapudi to Margret Thatcher to Sonia Gandhi.....need I say more!
I would say that a man is much more manipulative than a woman and he uses manipulation as a weapon even when the battle is over! But a woman uses manipulation only in extreme circumstances, mostly when she is cornered and when she has lost most avenues of choices! I personally don't see anything wrong in being manipulative as long as you don't get caught in the Spider's Web that you have so carefully woven yourself!😉
4) If you become a big writer one day then........What are some of the ways, you would like to express your creativity(poetry, short story drama)?
An epic would be more like it....if I ever resove and do sit down one day infront of my PC with an intention to write....it will be something very big and huge! (And you guys better buy my book!😆)

I read a lot of books and like spending time with people who are older than me or people who have seen a lot of life......they tend to influence me a lot! But frankly, I have never considered myself to be creative...writing is the only thing I have got closest to being creative, but nothing else really! I don't think I can even hold a paint-brush straight in my hands!😆

No....No, it was very tiring answering your questions but also loads of fun! Suddenly I am feeling better about myself.....you can imagine my life, cooped up with in-laws and an hyperactive kid inside the house, 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year😭😆

Hence, there will never be the risk of not enjoying our work, because once we began doing the work, the enjoyment part will automatically fly out of the window!😆An example being poor Mistletoe being grilled on IF, I enjoyed it in the beginning, but when I realized that it has actually become a work to answer the questions, the enjoyment vanished!😉😆

As we like variety in food, clothes and at times men😉, similarly we should have variety in friends also, some who will keep silent and some who will keep yapping!

I have read all the below books, though neither of the below authors are much admired by me!🤢

train to pakistan- Hard-hitting, dark and fast-paced! I anyway have a fondness for books based on the Independence and Partition era....makes me wonder how demonic human nature can get!

Satanic versus- A very sharp critique on the Islam religion! Can't comment much on it, I unlike Mr. Rushdie have no intention of having a "Fatwa" over my head for nothing!

God of small things- A very good first effort by Ms. Roy, but I still can't fathom how she got the Booker Prize for the same! The only thing I remember from the book is the vivid description of Kerala!

The Enigma of arrival by naipaul - A very self-reckoning and curiousity building book! Personally I have never liked Mr. Naipaul's writings, but I have read them all, more out of curiosity rather than a genuine interest!
