Uncleji took a deep breath, she contacted me after few years, I mean she did not contact me but the authorities of the hospital did, through a phone call first made during her last stages and then a letter requesting me to look after her daughter in her absence…..By the time I flew down to pay her a visit it was very late, I only got the letter……

He stopped….Bani looked at him….I do not recollect seeing you ever….

You did but you may not have registered me, you were only 6 too upset why your mother was not speaking to you or calling you, I was there with the doctors and other authorities but then we were not introduced….

Bani I had a troubled marriage, Krishna's sickness prevented me to have a normal happy married life, I will not claim that I never strayed but then unlike today we gave a lot of adherence to our marital vows atleast in the forefront everything was hunky-dory, I was an ideal husband who never complained about his sick wife ( which I did to Kiran until she vanished) and a good father, yes this I tried my best to do, I had one son and I tried to be a good parent specially when his mother was not too well but then I guess boys have natural tendency to become closer towards his mother. My son at times blamed me for his mother's sickness though the doctor who saw my late wife many times explained things were not so, anyway I must admit, he is very talent like his mother and unlike her, he is equally successful.

Nothing is wrong, God forbid, but then he has chosen his mother's profession which is why I am worried. Unlike her, he has started a very successful film career, his last three films have been super hits thus making him a household name baring few people like you who do not know him…

Bani's cheeks became red, well uncle that is not case really I have heard about him…..I mean….

See Bani it is like this, Jai's last 2 or 3 films have been very successful and he is riding high, though I have put some stringent protocols in this house like no bring in his fans or chamchas in this house, no hanging his blowups around this place but then there are certain things I cannot stop him, for his career sake, certain people will visit him, he will have script hearing sessions, producers will queue up etc etc, though he does have an agent or business manager to handle certain things I cannot stop nor can I stop him from attending parties and coming home virtually drunk most of the nights….

Uncle he is an adult, he can have his own life….Bani exclaimed….

I agree beta but then he had a mother who suffered from acute depression and Bani in many cases these things are passed on from one generation to the other….

You think Jai too will suffer from depression, Bani asked hesitantly…

I pray to the almighty he should not but to be truthful I am always fearful specially now and his chosen career path, you see in this sort of career the high and lows can be very steep, it takes a lot of level headedness to handle such a career, you won championships Bani, the whole stadium is clapping for you, standing up for you, calling out your name, the feeling elation must be tremendous and then when you lose, the boos and cat calls, you must be knowing…

Bani nodded yes she herself has face the good things, she was seldom defeated so the boos and the cat calls did not come but then she had seen her fellow players breaking down, inspite of school / college level some of them broke down tremendously….

Beta, all films don't become hit and unfortunately Jai did not have to struggle a lot, from theatre to films his journey was smooth, after his graduation of course in film studies, I fear for him beta, I fear for him, two bad films and in this competitive market he will become nobody what will happen to my son, a nervous wreck like his mother? Will he commit suicide like her?

Your wife committed suicide? I thought you said she was well….

She was well but then she did have her bouts and it is not the first time she attempted but then this time she was successful….he replied in an emotionless tone….

Bani kept silent, she was trying to understand the feeling of a father, though she had her apprehensions, she did not miss out the helplessness and the fear when Uday Walia spoke about his son….

See Bani, I will not live long, a few months maybe, it is spreading and I will not use anymore radiation I told the doctor….

Bani, fathers and sons share very peculiar relationships, we hate to show our feelings to our fathers, I was also the same, after my father's death I realized the loss, I guess Jai is also the same, I know he speaks to my doctors regularly though he does not tell me…..

How peculiar thought Bani but kept quiet, she knew little about such feelings….

Yes so where was I, Bani that is why I have sent for you, you will live in this house, turn this house into a home and handle Jai strictly bring some order into his disordered life, I have failed but I know will his current successes, he is in a position to call the shots, before it goes out of the hands…..keep him close to reality, not those make believe world the chamchas try to create, I know these are the people who will ditch him at the first given opportunity if his films don't work, I don't blame them, it is natural but as I said I fear for my son…..I want you to become a rock, make a place in this family, he never had a proper one, let him have someone incase he needs a shoulder to cry upon because mine will cease to exists very soon….

This is getting interesting.As usual you have come up with totally different storyline .

But will Jai agree? Will he allow Bani to inflence his life. How is she supposed to do it. Will she accept? in what capacity is she supposed to be in the house esp if Uday is going to die soon.

Hey hun, loving ur FF so far. Sorry I couldnt update earlier. Its interesting to see that Jai is an actor, and does not have any Walia group of hotels or anything to fall back on. What exactly does Uday want Bani to do? Be what Kiran was for him? I just hope he does not force them to get married, but i know u'll take care of it. Cont soon, cant wait for the weekend spl.
