This thread is dedicated to the discussions related to the TRP.
All are welcome to discuss and speculate about the TRPs, but it needs to be done in a CIVIL manner and without getting offensive/instigating towards a particular character or fan group.
Furthermore, all discussions in this thread are restricted to the ratings of the show, any discussions or comparisons to other shows is NOT allowed.
The TRP thread WILL be monitored and any offensive/instigating posts WILL lead to severe warning and warning level raises. TRP discussions are to be done in the main TRP thread.

Colors 10 Pm Slot History

When Colors channel was launched in July 2008 they had following shows on this 10 Pm slot

Khatron Ke Khiladi Akshay Kumar Season. Since it was launched with channel the show did well specially among males.
Khatron Ke Khiladi was replaced by Big Boss Season 2 in August 2008 and ended in last week of November 2008. TRP was very good which increased channel's popularity also.
In December 1st week Uttaran replaced Big Boss Season 2. Initially the show had below average ratings but as time flew it became popular. Most of the time it was Slot Leader and broke records after generation leap. It garnered 8+ TRP during leads marriage drama. In final phase it did became drag and was shifted to 10:30 slot in June 2014 and finally ended in Jan 2015.
Uttaran was replaced by Ekta Kapoors childhood love sage Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi. Initially the show failed to make a mark in TRP chart. But post revamp and leap there was huge jump in ratings. The show remained slot leader for most of the time and as TRP fell it ended in Feb 2016 after running for 2 years. Finale week garnered 1.7 TRP

Kasam has begun on good note with 1.9 TRP in debut week now it depends on how EK takes the shoaw forward.

SLOT RIVALS

1) Tamanna on Star Plus ranges in 1.2-1.5TRP Range

2) Yeh Vaada Raha which gave tough time to Meri Aashiqui usually gets 1.7-2.0 TRP with random high points in between but mostly hold 1.8 average. rating.
