Hey, new here. I just finished watching the episode. Impressive on many counts. Impressive storyline, impressive characterisation. Impressive visual appeal.

Casting is terrible except for the three central characters, Kunti and Parshuram.
Shakuni is bad man. Duryodhan is weird as of now.
Bheeshm is disappointing.
However, I loved the pace of show. And I don't mind mythological inaccuracy in the characterisation. Showing Arjun more arrogant, or giving him the whole Everything is fair in love and war is also cool. As against a Better Karn. Acceptable. Coz this is a different potrayal from a different angle.

Something that is despicable is the dialogues. The Hindi spoken is so remote from what should be spoken, I spent the latter half of the episode cringing. Parshuram was the only one who spoke well.
Intezaar, zaroori, jaldi, sirf and all aren't pure Hindi words. They can be used in period dramas/ Mughal/Sultanate dramas/historicals from 1500 AD +. However, Mahabharata cannot have that language. I hope they change the dialogue writer. Or change the dialogues. Looll.
If not amazing, they can stick to bare minimum like Prateeksha, Aavayshyak and so on

Hi,..Welcome to the forum.
They have already clarified about the language during the launch.. Tejasswi said "they are using simple hindi because there is no point in using tough words if people cant understand it".I didn't doubt their decision then..But after watching the episode I am not sure about that decision..If it felt weird even for a non-Hindi speaker like me then there is high chance that people are not going to take it well.

Whatever they might have said to cover up their mistake, it is awful to have to listen to so many Urdu words in a mythological. As najma says, they make one cringe.

Any number of very successful historical and mythological shows have been made with perfect Hindi, with no mixture of Urdu, like Devon ke Dev Mahadev, Maharana Pratap. and even Jodha Akbar, where the Rajput characters spoke pure Hindi, and no one had any problem understanding those shows.

As for the characters, as everyone is already swooning over this Karna, I need say nothing. Shakuni is very poor, and the comparison with Praneet Bhatt is bound to arise. And he does not even limp! Kunti was a widow, and she would never have dressed in all this jewellery. Dronacharya does not inspire the awe he should.

Gargi, you imp! 😉 What about the Karna you adored, Aham Sharma? Usko bhool gayi kya? I plan to watch Vikram aur Betaal only for him.

As for this Karna, as you are already spellbound, I shall say nothing. Whether the lead pair set the screen on fire or not, tum to wo kar hi dogi!😆

In any case, I was only looking in to see what was happening, and have no notion of settling down here. There would hardly be any room for an oldie like me in what bids fair to be a fangirl fest.😉 Have a lot of fun, my dear.

Hope everything is fine with you, and that you have not been up to too much mischief!😉

I'm spell bound by our leads. Couldn't remember when was last time I was so excited and enchanted by a show and it's lead's chemistry. Couldn't wait for our gorgeous Uruvi-Karna to come face to face , they'll literally set the screen on fire.

And look who I've bumped into. 😲 My ever favorite ever loved Shyamala auntie 🤗
How much I missed you ! Missed your delicious writing , missed your witty quips , missed your amazing posts , missed your sparkling presence and most of all , I missed you calling me " You imp" 😳, which always, without any fail , made warmth burst inside me like standing under the Sun on a frigid unforgiving Winter day.
How are you my beloved Auntie ?? How's your RA ?? I hope you're in the peach of your health and can I hope to see more of you in the coming days ?? Please ?? If that's not any trouble with our rest or reading of course. It's just that I missed your company . 😭

Ahh you know Auntie , I can't forget Aham even if I tried . 😉 Aham is divine .. Ahem.. I mean... he looks divine .. Umm.. his torso especially looks divine... his chest and waist specifically..
Okay, I'm deviating. 😆 Not my fault you see . Why on earth would you make an extremly good looking guy wear those low waist dhoti with a small chest wrap ( can't call it shawl , more like scarf ).. A girl gets ideas 😉
Please excuse my naughty nature auntie , I'm just kidding. 😆 I've a lot of respect for him as an actor and human being ( I've talked with him at length over phone not once but thrice . He's imply the nicest sweetest kindest soul imaginable in a tv actor . ) I'm forever grateful to him for how he portrayed my Suryaputra with such finesse , that he's become the face of Karna rightfully . What an inspired casting he was ! 👏 He's currently doing a great job with Samrat Vikramaditya and as expected from him, owning the role like no body's business. 👏 Have you tried that show Auntie ?? It's really good. Our Aham is simply made for larger than life roles.

Karna pe show bane aur mein na au , aisa kabhi ho sakti hai 😳 He's my idol as well as my inspiration . Whenever I feel like life is throwing more lemons at me than I can handle , I close my eyes and remember Karna and pray to the Sun God to make me as brave and dauntless to face life as his son was and I feel energized , like I've taken a fresh Sun bath. 😳

See you Auntie ?? Soon ?? 😳

The show has a fairy tale feel to it. The scene of Kunti and the baby floating away in the river was extremely beautiful.

Sayantani is gorgeous (and quite glamorous) here.

What I tried to say is using normal Hindi was not a mistake from their side but rather they did it intentionally.
And I didn't realize they were using Urudu words in between..As an non-hindi speaker I can't differentiate Hindi and Urudu words used commonly..even then I felt something is off about the language they are using..if they used Urudu then that's a grave mistake indeed.
Casting of Shakuni and Dritharashtra is worst I think.
Except for Karna,Uruvi,Arjuna,Kunti,Droupadi,Parashuram and Duryodhana rest of the casting is poor.
