He's one of the most eligible bachelors in town. And we are not talking of his show Kareena Kareena only. In reality too, Sandeep Rajora's very much single, he insists. "I'm waiting for the right time to feel the right vibe." Relationships mean a lot to him. "It can make or break a man. You have to be wise about the kind of partner you choose in life," says the young actor. And what's his dream woman like? "Whoever appeals to me. There's no set pattern of how a person should be. It's the chemistry."
Originally from Delhi, Sandeep's travelled the whole of India, as his dad worked with the army. He did his MBA from Pune and even worked there for a software firm for two years. He stepped into the glamour world a few years ago and after doing many commercials, bagged a key role in KKusum. At the moment, besides Kareena Kareena, he's also enacting a negative role in Yehi To Hai Woh. "I enjoy playing both the characters equally, because in reality we have all shades present. Showing a particular shade is what acting is all about. I think I'm managing to get both the shades out quite well in these two shows."
Films would be his next step, but the role certainly matters. "I've got a few calls but things didn't work out because of my current work schedule. Also, the kind of roles didn't excite me. For instance there was this sleazy film I was offered and I'm glad I didn't take it up." So, how does he perceive the current 'sex sells' idiom dominating movies? "If done aesthetically I'd definitely like to be a part of it. Like Murder was presented well."
And would he like the tag of a sex symbol a la John Abraham? "Men as sex symbols...that's a good thing! Just proves we guys can rock too."
