According to what track goes my imagination shows that Nisha who called herself Gaurii; with Shashank might have killed Nikhila.
As lights went off no one would see whether its actually Nikhila or Gaurii. Shashank was Behind Gaurii as she took away the papers and so in house he killed Nikhila assuming her to b Gaurii.
Nikhila called out Gauri's name (But she meant Nisha,as the real Gaurii was shown entering the house later even after Samar!)Till then shashank and Nisha ran away and poor Gaurii was blamed and punished for nothing!😊
