There was a pause,

Shiv was willing to tell , how she was looking but he feeling shy..

SHIV- "so how's the party"

GAURI- "really good…..i have never been to such parties…..actually I don't go for parties"

They both smiled,

Shiv said "u r looking beautiful"…………gauri became a little shy n bent her head down….

SHIV- "what happened?"……………..but gauri didn't spoke anything…….….she just looked at shiv ………….n shiv also looked gauri…..he thought that she was like an angel

Then nikhila came hurriedly n took gauri with her……..saying "jaldi chalo gauri,mahen tumhe milne k liye tab se wait kar rahen hain"………..……shiv n gauri couldn't said a word ……………… they just watched each other as nikhila held gauri's hand dragged with her.

They went to mahen,

NIKHILA- "mahen… dekho…..yeh hai"

MAHEN- "gauri …….right?"

Gauri bend down n touched mahen's feet

MAHEN- "always b happy beta"……………"toh gauri office kaisa lag raha hain……..aur yeh sheher……aur alokji kaise hain"

NIKHILA- "arey kitne sawaal puchoge aap"

Gauri smiled n said "nahi uncle aap puchiye………….. n waise sab theek hain,baba,office n also Mumbai n even this party"

MAHEN(smiled) - "good….koi bhi problem ho to mujhe batana"

NIKHILA- "aapko…..aap toh mera phone nahi pick karte …….gauri tum..inki baton mein mat aana koi bhi problem ho to shiv ko bata dena, nahi to main to hoon hi"

Gauri thought "shiv ko bata doon meri problems…….mujhe aur koi nahi mila"

NIKHILA- "kya hua beta?"

GAURI- nothing aunty, I will surely tell u if I had some problem

Simultaneously ,

ANUPAM- "arey shiv what r u doing here…….n where is gauri….ab tak to yahin thi?"

Shiv pointed towards his left where gauri,nikhila n mahen were standing n talking n laughing…

Ipshita n anupam looked n smiled

IPSHITA- "oh to gauri tumhare saath nahi isliye tum…..akele…..itne udaas…"

SHIV- "no no not at all………..aisi koi baat nahi hai…."

ANUPAM- "to phir kaisi baat hai"

SHIV- "tum bhi naa…… main to bas yeh keh raha tha ki gauri thak gayi hai itne logon se milke isliye….bas aur to koi baat nahi… n waise bhi mujhe kya problem ho sakti hai gauri bas meri achi dost hai ……hai naa anupam"

ANUPAM- "haan haan yaar…….sirf achi dost hai……hum sab jaante hain"

Three of them smiled

Nisha n samar came to them .

NISHA- "where is gauri?"

Three of them pointed towards gauri…

NISHA – "ohh samar chalo gauri se milkar aate hain"…….n they went

SHIV- "everyone is behind gauri….jise dekho gauri kahan hai gauri kahan hai"

ANUAPM- "tu kyun itna naaraz ho raha hai…… abhi toh tune kaha………chal lets go for dinner,phir uske baad terrace pe jaana hai ,,,nikhila aunty ne kaha tha"

SHIV- "terrace pe ….woh kis liye"

IPSHITA- "arey shiv…tumhe to pata hi hai …aunty aur nisha bhabhi, hamesha kuch games ka arrangement karte hain…….like they did last year….we played antakshari…….n u got bored n u didn't sang a word…….just watched everybody……n isliye hum jeet gaye the n kapoors ki team haar gayi thi.."

Ipshita n anupam began to laugh……

SHIV- "haan haan …I know……..but plzz don't laugh u guys….this time I will try to do whatever u say except singing …ok…..chalo lets hav dinner"

Samar n nisha went to gauri

NIKHILA- "arey tum dono yahan kya kar rahe ho……..dinner khalo"

NISHA- "woh ….samar ko gauri se milna tha isliye "

MAHEN- "acha samar, meet gauri"

Gauri said Namaste n bent to touch his feet…..but samar stooped her n said "nahi nahi ……..itzz ok ……khush raho.."

NIKHILA- "mulakaat ho gayi….ab jaakar dinner kar lein…uske baad terrace par jaana hai…yaad hai naa"

MAHEN- "nikhila tum phir se"

NIKHILA- "haan hum har saal ki tarah is saal bhi terrace par jaayenge"

Gauri was puzzled on hearing this terrace thing…….but nisha told her everything……..n gauri became a little nervous

NISHA- "don't worry….it would b fun u will enjoy a lot ….acha u go n hav the dinner I will take samar.."

Nikhila went to shiv…who was about to have his dinner, nikhila said him to give gauri a company for dinner ..as she's new to the house n all were busy in having their dinner.

Shiv saw gauri who was standing alone……

ANUAPM- "toh, at last shiv ko uski favourite company mil hi gayi"

Ipshita smiled n shiv made a wicked face seeing them….n said "shut up"…. in a low voice

NIKHILA- "arey what r u upto?..........chalna hai ki nahi?"

SHIV- "ji mom"

Shiv went to gauri

SHIV- "hi…"

GAURI- was amazed to hear shiv saying hi at this time…. N she also said "hi" in a confused manner

SHIV- "so what would u like to eat"

GAURI- "anything"

SHIV- "yahan 'anything' nahi hai khane mein"

N they laughed….

NISHA saw shiv n gauri n said to samar- "dekho shiv-gauri kitne has rahein hai…"……….nisha thought "wow their names …..together….sounds….sooo good….just like made for each other"

SAMAR- "kya hua?"……..he looked nisha staring at shivgauri

NISHA- "nothing……..just looking at shiv n gauri…….they look so good with each other"

SAMAR- "yess u r rite…they really look nice with each other n see shiv is soo happy with her"

PART- 15

Soon all finished their dinner n went up to the terrace,

Everyone reached terrace n grabbed their places .......every one was ready to start the fun but shiv n gauri were missing

NIKHILA- "kahan reh gaye yeh dono"

NISHA- "dono ne dinner to kar liya tha..shayad ice-cream lene gaye ho....n mummy apko to pata hai naa shiv ko ice-cream kitna pasand hai"

At last shiv n gauri came, they were talking to each other...... they were in a very good mood nikhila had not ever seen shiv talking to a girl so frankly n happily..but they both were looking like a prince n princess both dressed in black,....both looking gorgeous,....n both had a sweet shyness in their talk...

Everyone was surprised ..........shiv talking to gauri.......everyone stared at them.......

Shiv n gauri saw them staring

SHIV- "kya hua?"

NIKHILA- "kahan reh gaye the tum dono?"

SHIV- "arey mom ice-cream khane gaye the"

NISHA whispered to nikhila- "I told u"

NIKHILA- "acha jaldi se baith jaao ...game bas shuru hone wala hai"

GAURI- "kya hone wala hai aunty"

MAHEN- "dekho bete last time ki tarah is baar hum teams nahi banayenge.....warna ladai ho jayegi ,toh is baar hum ne sab ke naam ke chits banaye hai........."

SAMAR- "haan aur jo jis naam ka chit uthayega use uske bare mein kuch kehna hoga aur phir jiske liye tumne kaha ......who tumhe kuch karne ke liye bolega n tumhe who karna hoga.........understood u all..any questions?"

Gauri sat next to ipshita .......... shiv sat opposite to gauri facing her.......so that he could see her every second..

NISHA- "emm lets atart with sugna aunty"

SUGNA- "nahi nahi.......plsss"

NIKHILA- "comeon sugna...go for it its just a game"

Nisha gave sugna the bowl in which there were chits.....sugna shuffled them n took out a chit .....she opened the chit.......it was ANUPAM

Everyone shouted "wooooohhooo..... itzz anupam"

NISHA- "ok aunty now say something about anupam"

SUGNA- "ok"

ANUPAM- "aunty mere bare mein kuch aisa waisa bola naa toh....toh....mein appko........maaf kar doonga.."

Everyone laughed

SUGNA- "emmm........anupam.......he's a nice boy...he is very supportive......he is very helpful ..........he's going to marry my daughter.........he's........"

NIKHILA- ......arey yeh kya ho raha hai.....yeh sab to humein pata hai aur kuch bolo warna hum bore ho jayenge..."

SUGNA- "he's very close to me n he's like my son ...whom I needed always..ok that's all"

Everyone clapped

NISHA- "now anupam u tell aunty to do something for u"

ANUPAM- "emm"

Everyone shouted "tell her to dance .......dance......." sugna got nervous n gave him sign to say no to this

ANUPAM- "ok ok....i hav decided.......aunty......u have to.....emmm...apko.....meri ....aur ipshita ki sagai jaldi karani hogi"

Sugna,ipshita,shiv,gauri,nikhila,mahen,nisha,samar .....all of them laughed a lot

SAMAR- "bete achi raah pe hai" he laughed

NISHA- "ok that was good anupam, ab hai mummy ki turn"

Nikhila took out the chit .......... it was MAHEN

Everybody shouted "woooohhoooo"

NISHA- "ok mummy....now u say something about papa

NIKHILA- "mahen is a very nice person, a very nice husband n a very nice father........" mahen smiled

SAMAR- "hey mom this is not fair.......kyun shiv?"

SHIV- "yes mom,aap dad ki achaai nahi balki buraai k bare mein bataiye"

SAMAR- "exactly .....good question shiv"

NIKHILA- "ok inme koi buraai toh nahi hai par haan bahut saari buri aadatein hain"

NISHA- "come on mummy ..shuru ho jao"

NIKHILA- "ok ek toh inhe subah subah newspaper chahiye......aur yeh office ka kaam ghar par le aate hain........aur yeh mera phone bhi nahi uthate..aur bas"

NISHA- "ok ...aur papa aap kuch karne ko bolo"

Everybody shouted to ask for a dance

MAHEN- "ok ok bachon ki maan leta hoon......chalo nikhila.......aao......music...."

Mahen began on the music,but nikhila was a bit hesitating ......but everybody encouraged her to dance.........then she had no choice but to dance.......so she too begun

Everybody clapped for them

ANUPAM- "maan gaye uncle abhi bhi kya dance karte ho aap n aunty"

They all laughed

NISHA- "next anupam bhaiya aapki baari hai"

ANUPAM- "meri chalo lao woh bowl idhar"

Anupam picked up a chit n opened it .......it was IPSHITA

NISHA- "chalo ab kuch bolo......apki fav. topic aagayi" everybody laughed

ANUPAM- "nahi bhabhi, main kuch bologna nahi balki gaaunga"

Everybody said "wooooohhooo"

anupam began

Everybody felt really happy n said wow!!

NIKHILA- "sugna bilkul sahi jaa raha hai tera damaad........" everybody laughed

NISHA- "now ipshita tum kaho kuch anupam ko karne k liye"

IPSHITA- "emmm mujhe.....anupam se.......kuch nahi chahiye.."

Everybody said "oooohhhh"

NISHA- "acha kuch to bolo anupam k liye"

IPSHITA- "ok I would like to complete the song"

N she sang

everybody clapped for them

Shiv's eyes were continuously at gauri........ every minute..... every second.......he wanted to watch her all the way she was looking like an angel in black with that sweet dimple on her cheek , he saw her laughing smiling........she was so happy.....n so was shiv, gauri turned her face towards shiv n she looked at him.......shiv smiled to her n so did gauri.........shiv asked her from his eyes "r u enjoying?" to which gauri nodded in yes.......shiv was very happy with that n he felt really delighted........the game continued on........but both of them were busy looking at eachother.......shiv felt that at last gauri is understanding him for shiv .....friendship...was the first step for love..knowing each other through friendship was the basic step for love to happen........n he was very happy that they were friends.......

NISHA- "now guess who's turn is next ..?..its shiv"

They all looked at shiv.........but they saw shiv looking at gauri.......n even gauri looking at shiv......nikhila saw nisha n nisha saw nikhila .....they both managed to whispered ......"just look at them....they r looking like in love"

NISHA again- "shivv"

Shiv got distracted from gauri as nisha called his name........even gauri felt shy n she bent her head down

SHIV- "whatt..aa..?"

NISHA- "its ur turn"

Shiv picked up the chit n opened it..........he became very nervous........... became very conscious ........he kept looking at the chit

NIKHILA- "arey aisa kia likha hai.....kiska naam hai?"

SHIV- "woh...wo..hh"

NIKHILA- "anupam tu hi dekhkar bata kiska naam hai"

Anupam snatched the chit n read it loud......."GAURI"

Everybody said "oooooohhhhh"

Gauri was very shocked.....she looked at shiv n shiv was sweating.....not only gauri but shiv was also very shocked...

NISHA- "comeon shiv yeh to bolna hi padega....jitna bhi tum gauri k bare mein jaante ho....sab boldo"

Gauri looked at shiv , n thought "pata nahi kya bolega mere bare mein god help me"

SHIV- "okk........emmm she's a very nice girl.......she's really hardworking.......emmmmn........... she loves to watch films.......n she's very charming.......n......... yeah she sings very well...n.......n...........she's...........mmmm.........my.....my......

Gauri was getting curious n thought why is he not proceeding after "my " ........she was getting restless.. she spoke in mind "come on shiv speak up ....speak up"

SHIV- "emmm.......friend"

Gauri felt a little weird ......for that shiv hesitated to tell that gauri was his friend..she was getting uncomfortable on this question ....she was in a deep thought.........

NISHA- "ok gr8 shiv........now gauri u tell shiv to do something for u"

GAURI (came back to senses)- "emmm.."

Everybody shouted "tell him to sing a song.....sing a song"

SHIV- "no no u all know I can't sing plss"

GAURI- smiled "ok as everybody says, plz sing a song"

SHIV- "but......."

ANUPAM- "arey yaar ab toh gauri ne kaha hai is liye gana padega .........rules r rules........chal gaa"

everybody encouraged "haan shiv gaao"

SHIV- "ok ok emm....but please support me....ahem....ahem!

Everybody clapped with shiv as he sang..n gauri was really feeling wow.... but also more curious looking at him n hear him sing .. ...shiv's eyes were on gauri,he was still feeling shy......but still managed to express his thoughts to gauri through his song..

Everybody shouted laughed n said "good shiv"

Soon the game ended.....nikhila,mahen,nisha,samar n shiv came down to say them good bye.......anupam sat in his car n said ipshita "good bye n gud night....mere sapne dekhna "ipshita n anupam smiled

SUGNA- "tum dono ka hogaya to chalen....we r already very late"

NIKHILA- "shiv tum inhe ghar drop kar do"

SHIV- "ji mom"he got very excited.......he was very happy that he will be dropping gauri.....that means.....spending more time with gauri......

He..escorted gauri......by opening the front seat next seat to him of the car..gauri was puzzled .....n she gave a confused smile .....they sat n begin their ride.....

IPSHITA- "aaj toh bahut maza aaya kyun gauri?"

GAURI- "haan maza toh bahut aaya"

IPSHITA- "aur shiv ne toh pehli baar ganaa gaya"

SHIV- " tum sabko to bas meri taang khichne ka mauka chahiye"

SUGNA- "taang kahan khich rahen hain......tumhari taarif hi kar rahen hain"

IPSHITA- "haan .....aur tum batao gauri kya shiv ne itna bura gaya?"

GAURI- "nahi toh.....bahut to nahi par acha gaya"

they all laughed...... Shiv was glad that gauri begin talking with him.....n she felt quite comfortable with their new friendship.... soon they reached home.....sugna went to open the door n ipshita and gauri went behind her......but gauri forgot her bag in shiv's car....so she ran down....she was glad that shiv was still there n waiting for her to take her bag

GAURI- "actually I came here for my bag.."

Shiv handed her bag n asked her "are u happy with our friendship,I mean if u hav any problem with me please tell me..frankly"

Gauri was amazed to see shiv talk like this .....but she was quite attracted towards him through these words......but she didn't know what to speak .....earlier she didn't used to talk to shiv .......she even didn't liked him but now she felt something different.......she felt like she knows him very well n they hav been friends since many years....

Shiv again spoke "so what do I think of this silence?"

GAURI- "no not at all..no problems at all....see this is our new friendship, and I need to understand you very well...... in friendship we should adjust,that's what makes a good friendship to last for longer n I hope that this friendship of ours will surely last.."

SHIV- "yeah......even I think so..so we'll meet in office"

Gauri nodded saying yes

shiv said 'byee' '.n even gauri replied him 'bye'' she looked at him'

SHIV- 'kya hua?........aise kyun dekh rahi ho'

GAURI- "actually I don't want any doubts in my mind so can I ask u a question......shiv "yeah sure"

GAURI- " I was wondering ki jab tum mere bare mein bata rahen the tab why did u stopped a while for sayin that gauri is my friend"

SHIV(smiled)- "u know the answer n if u don't then I will surely know it in future''.ok good night n take care....." he went

Ipshita called gauri .........soon they went n changed their formals n wore night suit.........n went into their bed......ipshita was in deep sleep but gauri was thinking about the answer that shiv gave to her.........not only about the answer............she even thought.............why I feel something different to him..........why I look into his eyes...........what is in those eyes............it feels like those eyes wants to say something............something like... 'LOVE'.... But gauri was not ready for all this so she tried to forget shiv thinking "its just an attraction,not anything more than that......i should not think about that againits just a friendship...that's all"

While on the other hand shiv was thinking something different......he was very happy that gauri ate her dinner with him........she had her dessert with him..........he sang a song.........for the first time in front of everybody only because of gauri...........he felt that ...........this friendship ...........will soon change into love............but he was just waiting for that moment .........he tried to sleep.........but he couldn't gauri was coming in front of him..........he grabbed his I pod in put its head phones in his ears.... n began listening the song
