PART - 21
It had been nearly four days since Shiv had gotten discharged from the hospital. Anupam had called Shiv a couple of days before to tell him that he was flying out to Bombay on some urgent business. Shiv took it at face value not bothering to enquire too deeply into the problem.
He could sense that his friend was hiding something from him but he din't give it more thought as his mind was consumed with Gauri.
Shiv was in his own world. Today would be his first day back at the office and he was anticipating the surprise Gauri had for him.
But deep down he knew he was playing with fire. He would have to tell Anupam about gauri and him. Shiv din't want to keep his friend in the dark anymore. That was one conversation he was not anticipating having. He would talk to Gauri about it, Shiv thought.
His heart was filled with Gauri. He couldn't imagine any other girl occupying the space she had taken inside his heart. She was special in a way that no other women would come closer to what he felt Gauri. No other woman would do. Shiv Kapoor the playboy was gone. He was a one woman, man now. He smiled to himself thinking of himself in that light.
He had missed her for the last couple of days. Once he had come back from the hospital Gauri had not come by to see him except for those quick phone calls she made to enquire how he was doing.
Where was she? He thought as he got out of his car and walked towards the elevators in his office building.
As the elevator lights blinked he thought about the last time both of them had been in an elevator. It seemed like it was a long time ago but the memories of it still remained fresh in his mind.
Shiv removed his coat and slinging it against one shoulder he strode towards his office. He looked for Gauri and she was not there. Where was she?
She had not even called him to say whether she was coming in or not?? Was she sick??
As he entered his office he saw fresh flowers on the table and fresh coffee brewing in the machine. A megawatt smile lit his lips at the anticipation of seeing Gauri.
He waited expectantly for Gauri to show up alone. It had been a long four days without her besides him. Thinking about it brought a slight frown to his forehead.
As he sat in his chair facing the window, he heard the noise of the office door opening. He turned around with a huge grin on his face and loads of anticipation to see Gauri sauntering in. But what he was faced with was a group of his department heads walking in to enquire about his health.
All the anticipation that had been there dropped like a lead weight. He watched as they slowly piled into the office as he answered their question he saw Gauri walking in with a sly smile on her face.
As though tell him that she knew all his ploys. He gave her a stern look and was about to turn away when he saw her poking her tongue at his back. An evil smile came on to his face.
It said, wait till I catch you alone.
By the time everyone piled out nearly an hour had gone by. Before he could stop Gauri she had stepped out with the whole lot them.
He sighed.
I need my Gauri fix. He muttered to himself
Seeing that Gauri was not going to be back anytime soon, he started to go through the files that were placed in front of him for his signature.
As he got immersed in his work he did not notice the office door being opened. Gauri came in and closed the door without making any noise. She knew that he had not seen her coming in. Slowly, without making any noise she slowly stood behind him.
As she waited for a response from him she realized that the mighty Shiv Kapoor was sleeping behind the files that he held in front of his face. She laughed out loud as all the anticipation and tension she was feeling drained away.
Gauri slowly took the file out of his hands and placed it on the table. She cradled his head and slowly placed it on the chair so that he could sleep comfortably.
As Gauri went back to her cube to get on with her work, she decided that evening would be the time to surprise him. I hope he had forgotten about it, she thought. But knowing him, she knew that he would only be thinking about their talk at the hospital.
By the time, Shiv woke up nearly an hour had gone by. It was approaching lunch hour. He automatically looked at the cube Gauri occupied and found her missing. Disappointment coursed through him. Where did she go?
Anticipation was slowly turning into anger. Gauri walked into the office with anticipation. As she went up in the lift, she thought about shiv's reaction.
The elevator was about to reach its destination, with just one more floor to go when it stopped suddenly. Gauri looked up startled as Shiv strode into the elevator with an arrogant smile on his face.
"Shiv, why are you here?"
Raising one eyebrow, he looked at her "Because, I can't seem to catch you alone anywhere else"
"Shiv!!! What are you doing? You can't just stop the elevator on this floor" she said staring at him as Shiv stopped the elevator once the doors closed.
"I can. And I just did it…there…" he said as he turned around arrogantly to face her.
As she tried to wrestle control of the elevator buttons from him he pulled her tightly into him"Stop it! Gauri. I can't wait another second to taste your lips"
"Shiv!!!! Not here"
"Yes, here…I want to kiss you right here. Right now..." saying he pulled her tighter into his embrace.
"Shiv……Please"
"No..." saying he walked her towards the walls of the elevator. As Gauri stared at him, he removed the clips that were holding her hair as he shoved his fingers into her black velvety hair. Gauri struggled to free herself."Shiv, please…not now..."
Placing her hand on his chest she tried to push him away. But, Shiv was not budging an inch. Gauri closed her eyes as he pulled her closer to him. He held her hair in one hand while his other hand traversed her hips as he pulled her tightly towards him.
As he bend his face closer to capture her lips she turned her face away as shiv's lips slowly caressed her cheeks.
"Shiv..Please" she said in a whisper. His hands slowly pushed the silky curtain of hair behind her ears as he slowly bit on her pink earlobes. Gauri gave an involuntary shiver.
While he was trying to kiss her Gauri's hit the elevator button to reach their floor. Shiv was still trying to kiss Gauri when the lift opened. By the time Shiv could orient himself; she ducked under his arms and made her escape.
Gauri ran to her cube and breathed a sigh of relief. Shiv walked back towards his office seething with anger. How could she do this to him? With a belligerent look he refused to look at her as he entered his office.
I am not going to go to her he said to himself as he randomly pulled a file and started going through it.
Gauri bit down on her lips seeing the anger in shiv. It was 5.00 and still Shiv had not stepped out of his office, nor had he glanced her way.
She cleaned up her desk and walked towards Shiv room to tell him that she was leaving. She slightly knocked on the door and poked her head inside.
Shiv glanced up and saw Gauri standing there with an apprehensive look in her eyes. He lifted his eyebrows in question.
"I am about to go home, do you need anything" she asked looking at him anxiously
Just you, he thought but he just nodded his head and said nothing.
"Good night, I'll see you in the morning" she said and closed the door.
Shiv threw the file on his desk, "Shit, why did she do this to him?" he asked himself. Getting up from the chair he walked to the wall to wall window and placed his left had on the glass as he leaned forward and glanced at the cars on the road below.
Gauri found Shiv standing against the windows with his back towards her. He hadn't realized that Gauri had come back. The carpet muffled the noise of her footsteps as she walked closer to him.
Her hands slowly crept up against his back as she placed her face against his back and hugged him.
"Shiv, I am sorry" she hiccupped as she hugged him more tightly.
He din't say anything for a few seconds he just stood there like a statue staring at hands that were holding him tightly. Shiv felt her moving away from him.
Shiv din't turn around to look back at her. He heard the rustling of fabric behind him even though he was curious his body din't turn around.
"Shiv.." she called out tentatively.
"Please…Shiv…" she said with apprehension in her voice.
Hearing the apprehension he slowly turned around. He blinked twice to take in the vision standing in front of him. She was dressed in a spaghetti strapped negligee which accentuated her figure and fell to her thighs. It was blood red making shiv's imagination running wild.
Gauri had changed from the most beautiful gal he loved to a sexy siren.
Even though she was dressed for the part he could see her pulling the sides of the negligee on the sides. He wanted to smile but he controlled himself. With a bland expression he watched her walking towards him.
Without breaking eye contact with him she walked the siren's walk towards him. Today, he was dressed in a charcoal grey suit with a black shirt to go with it. Moving closer to him she pulled shiv's tie and he bend closer to make it easier for her. She loosened it from around his neck and pulled it free. The tie went sailing. Shiv smiled to himself.
Gauri was a bit scared but she wanted to show him that she was his equal. Slowly moving the sides she removed his jacked and dropped it to the floor.
Standing in front of him again not looking into his eyes her hands slowly started unbuttoning the black shirt he was wearing today. Her hands were trembling as she got the last button undone.
Shiv was waiting to see how far she would go. Seeing her struggling to look up at him he gave in.
"Gauri.." he said softly
With a sob, all her bravery fled as she hugged shiv tightly as his hands closed around her.
"Gauri, I love you" she sobbed even more hearing that from him.
Shiv lifted her into his arms as her hands slid around his neck as he strode towards the couch that was in the corner of the room.
He placed her gently on the couch and sat on the edge of the couch as he stared at her. Gauri was feeling shy and was not even looking up at him.
Shiv gently traced her lips as he spoke to her. "Gauri, I am sorry.." he said as he stared at her.
"Shiv..." her startled eyes looked up at him as she placed her fingers on lips.
"Let me say this, Gauri. I know you were trying to please me. I see the innocence behind your actions. You don't have to impress me, Gauri. I just like the way you are. Whenever we want to be adventurous we'll both do it together" he said smiling down at her.
"Shiv..." she said sitting up and hugging him tightly.
"I love you so much, Shiv" she said as she hugged him tightly. His lips slowly skimmed her cheeks; Gauri turned and took his lips in a soul searching kiss which for the first time left him trembling.
He pushed her gently on the couch as he traced her shoulders as she stared at him. She pulled him down on top of her. Her hands traced the beloved face she held dear. He slightly bit her fingers as she slightly traced his lips…"Ouch..." she said and watched him slowly kisses her finger to ease the sting of the bite.
Shiv looked into her eyes as his eyes slowly skimmed her body. "This dress looks beautiful on you, after a pause he continued, if you dress up like this day in and day out, I will be your slave" he said playfully.
"Shiv…" she said beating him gently on his shoulders.
"Ssshh" saying he bent down and took her lips in a hungry kiss. His hands were impatient as he pulled the negligee down to her hips. Her beautiful body was displayed to him in all its glory. He traced the pale bare shoulders as his lips traveled the familiar path of her body. His hands slowly traced the long beautiful legs as he pushed the negligee up her thighs.
Gauri whimpered from the feeling coursing through her. She pulled his face up for a hungry kiss she couldn't control.
Shiv wanted to be gentle with her but she was not letting him be. Shiv was hanging by a bare thread of his self control when she pulled him tightly to her. His control snapped and he tore the negligee away from her body.
Gauri looked up at him shock but she was revealing in the power she could invoke in him. Both of them were drowning in the beauty of the moment when both their controls snapped. Shiv possessed her with a feral need that he could not control. Gauri welcomed the heat and revealed in the glory of their joining.
Shiv gave a groan as he possessed her. Gauri gently stroked his back and hair as they lay on the couch in the gentle after glow of their passion. Shiv held her tightly as he closed his eyes.
"Gauri…"
"Hmmm"
"We can't hide this any longer. I will talk to Anupam once he gets back" he said as he took her fingers in his hands and gently traced it.
Just then his mobile started ringing; Shiv stretched his hands and pulled his mobile from his jacket.
"Hello..."
"Anupam…" shiv was shocked hearing his voice.
