He walked into the house to see the decorations for the engagement… there was no getting away from the fact that everyone was so happy and the event was happening today. As he was teased everyday at the dinner table and the family would not stop…. As he stared into the mirror and looked at the man dressed in his cream and gold shervani , his heart and soul felt so empty… "Shiv!" he turned to look at his mother enter the room dressed in a pink sari smiling at him as she walked up to him.

"It's been two years since you have come back from that camping trip… and I wish I had not sent you there Shiv!" he looked at her as she placed her hand gentle on his cheek…seeing him close his eyes she looked at her son. For two years she had lost the playful boy he was now so grown up and the only thing he was hunger for was money and he did not care who he hurt on the way… his shrewdness had been his success but somewhere he was lost in a time where he just did not want to leave.

"It's time to move on and I want to see you happy!"

"Mom?.."

"Please Shiv..this girl your obsessing over has married someone else and living her life… she has forgotten you and your love!…" No she can never forget me…you have no idea mom he thought looking at her as she looked at him.

"We have given you plenty of time to get over her.. so Now we all think it's about time you looked at Ipshita seriously… Shiv live you life and been happy…sometimes the thing we want in this life are not always what we get but what we have we should cherish and be thankful off." He knew she was right that he had to move on and maybe he was chasing a dream and this was a punishment as the lord had led her into his life and then let her go away breaking him into a point where he was unable to cope…even now he was just breathing for the sake of it.

"Shiv please thinking seriously about what I have said and come down soon!" he looked at her walk away.
"SHIV!" he turned to see his dadi.

"I need to talk to you…"

"Dadi please! mom has told me already and I'm not in the mood!" she looked at her as his rage took hold of him … but this was serious and she just had to tell him but he turned and left the room.

He stood on the stage and looked at the way everyone was dressed up all chattering amongst themselves and he could see his family all around mingling in excitement.

"Man I am nervous!" he looked at Samar standing next to him.

"Nervous of what?" Samar looked at him as was dressed in Gold looking very dashing next to him in maroon.

"I mean what if I screw up? You know!"

"Bhai you love this girl right and she loves you…so relax. I'm so jealous of you Bhai… I mean you met this girl on a Skiing holiday and fallen in love and now your getting married in 3 months time after the engagement.."

"Actually I wish it was today with the engagement… this waiting business is killing me. A man can be patient for so long?" he looked at his brother as he looked at his new family and his own. Today was his engagement and he knew she was in the room not far away from him he just wanted to see her and nothing more.

"So what you think of Ipshita?" Shiv looked at her talking with his mother.

"She's OK I guess!"

"Just OK!! Come on Shiv she just your type…attractive and has the same interests as you"

"My interest have change Bhai and there's nothing there you know… I feel nothing for her…I will not marry anyone whom I don't love!" Samar looked at him and nodded.

'ring ring' Taking him mobile in his hand Shiv left the stage with Samar standing there alone.

As the spot light shone on the stage he walked away discussing business….

"Shiv!" he turned to see his father wave at him…nodding his head he disconnected the phone.

"Shiv meet Mr Bose Kaya's father!" shocked and in his believe he looked at the old man standing there next to his father…. As he spoke everything came running back and his eyes searched the room just for a glimpse of her… 'She is here?…I can feel it' he thought with his heart beating in his ears.

"Excuse me! Please!…." he walked away looking at the guests..

"Shiv!" he turned to see dadi looking worried as she approached him.

"Dadi she here!" she looked at him beaming with delight his eyes where alive as they had been dormant for so long…

"Shiv this is what I wanted to tell you Kaya is Gauri sister and …." She looked at him look on the stage at his brother and Kaya as a tear escaped his eyes… Dadi placed her hand on his shoulder and looked at him.

"Shiv she here with her family!"

"Just to see her again … would be enough for me!" Dadi looked at him walk in the party feeling worried.

"Shiv?" he turned to see his mother walking over with Ipshita by her side.

"Shiv take Ipshita on the dance floor…PLEASE!" looking at his mother placing Ipshita hand in his he looked around him to see all the couples moving to the dance floor…

"Shiv?" He looked at Ipshita as she blushed taking his hand. Feeling heavy hearted he nodded and took her on the dance floor.

His eyes scanned the room and he saw her from afar at the stairs looking stunning in a white sari… as he moved towards her she was not there … turning around franticly he was to the hear.

"I hope the Kapoors know what they are doing? As these Bose's are money grabbing opportunities and there's a curses on them… I have heard to get millions they married a orphan girl and in return of her millions her husband ran off with the money with his girlfriend and the poor girls worked hard to make ends meet for them… they owe the poor girl everything… She looks after them all and does not care about anyone else…." Feeling teary eyes he walked up the stairs to see her standing in the balcony alone…he stepped forward.

"Gauri!" he looked at her as the tears ran down her face….looking at him…. Moving forward he took hold of her in her arms…kissing her tears away he held her in his arms.

"Are you here? I don't want to wake up to find you not in my arms…I love you so much!" holding her closure to him he moved forward and kissed her…feeling her kissing him back with the same passion he knew like him the past two years had been nothing but heart ache…how did he ever manage without her and now he would just die not to be near her…

"I have something to tell you Shiv!" he looked at her she sat down next to him on the bed in his room… away from everything as he handed her a glass of water.

"When you walked away from my life …not a day went when I did not forget you as I had your love growing inside of me…I dreamt of you next to me in bed and in that room everyday…but I'm sorry I lost our baby in an accident and…." Seeing her sobbing uncontrollable he took hold of her.

"It's ok baby! I'm here now… shhh…" Stoking her hair he knew she coped with a lot more then he had and he cursed himself I should have never had left her…

"I'm sorry Shiv!" shaking his head as he held her as the tears ran down his face.

"I'm so Sorry Gauri … I should never had left you..I should have just…"

"I always thought you would come and get me when Akash was growing inside me…I was happy when I found out I was having a baby as that was my reason for living… but Shankshank came back to get me to sign the divorce papers and I came in the way of him hitting daddy ji and….It was an accident!" Feeling the anger build inside of him as he knew that Shankshank was capable of anything yet he left her in his clutches…cursing himself he got up from the bed and walked over towards the window and closed his eyes.

"Forgive me Shiv!" he turned to see her standing behind him and looked at her as she lowered her eyes.

"Forgive You? I left you there with him!!… Gauri and should be asking for forgiveness…I'm so sorry…" she looked at him on his knees sobbing in as she looked at him she kneed down and took hold of him as they sobbed……………..

"No Way Shiv!" he looked at him mother.

"I have given Ipshita's mother my word… I don't want you to marry a divorcee, especially to the Bose's bahoo…"

"Nikhila!" they turned to see Dadi and Dada walk into the room.

"Shiv told us everything about Gauri before she married Shankshank and …"

"Mummyji I was not happy when Samar want to marry Kaya.. You knew how I feel about them and …"

"Nikhila!! Shiv needs this!"

"No Shiv! Does not need …."

"Mom I was not asking for you're permission I was informing you that I am marrying Gauri… and I will not listen to anyone this time round….As this does not effect anyone but me!" they all looked at him as he left the room
