They sat on the riverbank and watched the boats sail by, he held her in his arms as she rested her head back on his chest. Her hair felt to soft against his cheek and there hands were locked together "So what are we going to do?" he whispered in her ear as he closed his eyes engulfing her fragrance.
"I don't know," she replied as she felt his arms pull her closer to him.
"Everything is so confusing and Di needs me now more then anything. I can't leave them," she said looking at his finger wrapped around hers.
"What about us?" he asked.
"May be we should let everything settle down and you can come to ask for my hand," she suggested.
"Baba may not accept my proposal knowing that one of his daughters has been hurt by the same household", he said. She turned to look at him in surprise and he smiled at her. "I know baba quite well these past few months. He would never show it but the news of the divorce has hurt him a lot and you are going to have to make sure his health does not suffer as well as looking after Bhabhi. At this time they need you more than I do" he said looking at the river. He knew that she would never leave them and he didn't want her to choose, as he would loose it was better for him to let time heal everything. If his love for her were pure she would be his one-day. "I love you," she whispers as he held her close to him. "I know but I not giving up that easily as I will call you everyday at 11pm on your mobile. If you don't answer I will be calling the house. Do I make myself clear?" he said firmly. She smiled as she closed her eyes and nodded. He smiled as she handed him the orntment as he stared into her eyes he knew what his mother had instructed him to do. Taking holding the gold and black necklace he turned and placed in around her neck, now she was his forever. They gentle rose up from there seats to be showered with flowers, he looked at her as she was dressed in red and smiled as he took hold of her hand. Now he was not going to be let anyone take her away from him. They turned towards their family who blessed them; finally they turned towards them who had made their dream of becoming one come true. Shiv had his arm around Gauri as they approached them. As they bent down to touch there feet they were stopped. "No! You will always have our blessing but we would want a hug instead", she said shaking her head at them. Shiv looked at her in amazement and smiled as they embraced Vivaan and Kaaya.........
He turned over and looked at her as she slept next to him on the pillow. She changed his entire world when she came back to him and things could not have been better. She gave him love, which he had never had or felt before. She was the mother of his two little children Aditya and Shefali and now she was going to give him the same joy all over again. The famous bad boy Shiv Kapoor was now a family man and he felt overwhelmed by it, as it would never have been possible without her by his side. The arrogant and selfish man was still there but he was now a calmer and mature man thanks to her. Now the little and simplest thing gave him happiness if they were happy then he felt had achieved everything. She was the one who made it all possible and made him whole. He watched her sleeping so peacefully with her hand tucked beneath her head he slowly reached to tuck the loose hair behind her ears, trying not disturbing her but it was to late as she opened her eyes to see him next to her. He stared at her as a smile formed on her lips the dimples appeared and he replied back with the warmest smile. Looking into her eyes he saw only love for him "if this is a dream I don't ever want to wake up," he whispered.
"But you have to wake up as you will be to late", she replied.
"But Gauri?….."
"Now wake up!" she said firmly as she smiled.
He slowly opened his eyes as the sunlight beamed into his eyes, he felt a warm and familiar hand on top of his hand.
"Gauri?" he whispered.
As he turned his head he saw his mother beaming in delight as she stared at him.
"Doctor! Come quick he's awake!….."
He felt weak and slowly closed his eyes as he whispered out for her again.
He looked at his family as they stood before him in the hospital bed his eyes searched for a glimpse of her but she was not there, curiously he looked over at his mother as she held his hand smiling at him.
"Where's Gauri?" he asked looking at her.
She looked at him surprised to hear her name and looked over at the doctor. As he looked at his mother he turned towards the doctor.
"Mr Kapoor, you were involved very serious car accident and have been in a coma for 2 years," he said firmly looking at him.
Bewildered he looked over at his mother who nodded in agreement.
"Accident?…..
"It's true Shiv you have been in an accident and have been in a Coma for 2 years. Don't you remember?" she informed him as she looked over at the family.
"Gauri? Is she Ok?" he asked.
"Beta don't you remember your divorced and she is in Kolkatta" Mahen said looking puzzled at the doctor.
"Aditya and Shefali where are they?" he asked looking at everyone.
Nikhila looked over at the doctor and touched his face as she sensed he was getting upset.
"Beta who are Aditya and Shefali?" she asked tearfully.
"There mine and Gauri's children, she pregnant and having twins come on mum we told you three months ago. Just before Vivaan married Kaaya. You were all there!" he said looking at them.
"I think Mr Kapoor needs to rest now," the doctor advised looking at the family.
"Mum! where's Gauri now?" he asked looking at her confused.
"Beta she's in Kolkatta!" she replied.
Shiv pulled of the covers and using all his strength he got out of bed but fell into his father's arms.
"Shiv what are you doing?" she shouted as they helped him back onto the bed. She looked at him as the tears ran down his face. "I don't understand? Where is she?…………
