wht i am thinkin is tht shiv doesn't know abt this, and i guess shiv already got a girlfriend, and since shiv doesn't get along with his dad, if mahen ask him to marry gauri, shiv will refuse and even their family members will refuse since gauri is not rich and all. i don't know i am just guessin.
