I will never leave your hand
A dull tired man is sleeping on the hospital bed.He opens his eyes slowly.Eyes are red.He sees a blurred vision.Slowly the vision becomes clear.A beautiful lady is standing near him.
"Astha?"
His lips shiver.
She smiles.
"So you remember me?"
"What i question Astha?How can i forget you?You were my friend in the college.You know that i value my relationships.But you just vanished after the college got over.You never kept in touch with me".
Her sweet smile disappeared from her face.
"Sorry Rudra.Because of the circumstance i had to be away from this place.Now i'm back to this place as Dr.Astha".
He smiles.
"I know you as someone values relationships.Then why do you drink like this?You know what your condition was when you were brought to me?You had vomited blood.You were so drunk that you fainted on the roadside.When i saw your face i became so upset.I could'nt believe that it's you Rudra.You don't know that your wife and children will become upset seeing this condition?I tried to contact your wife Ipshita.But i did'nt get her".
His face fades again.
"Wife and childrean will be upset?Never.She does'nt care about me.Even if i die she will not shed tears".
Astha is shocked.
"Rudra?"
"Ipshita hates me.She loves someone else.She is always with him.I see her very rarely.She aborted our baby also.She left me forever.She is going to divorce me.I'm alone Astha.I drink to forget my worries".
His tears roll down.Astha's feels his pain.She pities him.
She wipes his tears.
"You are not alone Rudra".
Rudra looks at her carefully without knowing what she meant.
"You have to take proper treatment to put an end to your drinking habit.Drinking will not help you to forget your worries.I want you to be the old Rudra who was strong enough to face anything".
Rudra is quiet.
Astha takes care of Rudra.He gets cured completely.
Astha gives him medicine and water.Rudra swallows the tablet.
"Astha!"
Astha feels that his husky voice sounds different this time.She looks at him.
He eyes are rolling on her.She feels that Rudra has'nt looked at her like this before.
"Why do you care for me like this?Not even wife has done this for me".
Astha turns back with silence.
He holds her hand.
"Tell me Astha?Just because i was your classmate?"
Astha's eyes become wet.
Rudra wonders why Astha's eyes welled up with tears.He touches her eye drop.
"Why Astha?"
"I have been loving you since our college days".
Rudra is shocked.
"What?"
"Yes Rudra.I loved you silently.I was shattered when i came to know that you are in love with a girl named Ipshita.I was not able to stay here any more.So i left this place without informing anyone".
Rudra's eyes get filled up with tears.
"I'm so foolish that i did'nt see your love.I went behind fake love.But i want to correct my mistake now.Astha...i want to spend the rest of my life with you".
Astha can't believe it.
"Rudra?"
He smiles and wipes her tears with his fingers.The beautiful smile is back to Astha's face.
Astha takes Rudra to her house.
Astha is in her room.The cool wind is blowing.She tries to close the window.Rudra holds her hand.She is surprised.Her hair is blowing.Her hair strands fall on her face.Rudra moves her hair strands to a side.
They both look at each other's eyes.
Astha wears a pink saree and pearl ornaments.
She goes to a beach at night.The beach is decorated with lit candles by Rudra.Rudra is waiting for her there.She smiles seeing Rudra and his decoration.She goes to him.
"Come to my life very soon.I can't wait for our marriage anymore".
Rudra says.
Astha blushes.Rudra plays a beautiful romantic song.

He holds her hand and dances with Astha.Her eyes sparkle like stars.
They go back home.
Rudra looks at her deeply.He goes closer to her.Astha is shy.
Suddenly somebody knocks the door.
Rudra opens the door.He is shocked.
"Ipshita!"
Astha is shocked.
Tears are dwelled in Ipshita's eyes.
"Come inside Ipshita".
Astha recieves her.
Ipshita comes inside.
"Why did you come Ipshita?Can't you allow me to live peacefully?"
Ipshita bursts into tears.
"I'm sorry Rudra.I did a big sin.He cheated me Rudra.God punished me for cheating you.Please forgive me Rudra.Please come back to me".
Rudra ans Astha are numb.
Ipshita goes near Astha and begs,
"Please give him back.I request you".
She cries.Astha's tears flow down.
"Rudra.Go with Ipshita".
Rudra can't believe his ears.
"What did you say Astha?"
"Your wife has come back to you.You have to go with her".
"You forgot our love and dreams very fast?"
Rudra asks.
Astha can't speak anything.
"Please don't be rude to me Astha.Please be with me always".
Rudra requests.Astha feels like crying.But she controls herself.
"Ru...Ru...Rudra..."
Astha stammers.
"What if Ipshita cheats me again?"
Ipshita says immediately,
"No Rudra.I will not".
"Trust your wife and start a new life with her.God returned your wife to you.You accept her.Forgive her.I will respect you more if you forgive someone who betrayed you".
"Okay.I will forgive Ipshita.I forgive you also for deserting me so fast".
Rudra holds Ipshita's hand and takes her out.
Astha bursts into tears.
After one year...
Astha attends a doctor's party.While walking her lip slips and she is about to fall down.Somebody prevents her from falling down.He looks at that person.
"Rudra!"
"Hi Astha.How are you?"
"I'm fine.I'm practicing in this place now.Very soon i will be joining your hospital".
Astha is surprised.
Astha's eyes search for someone.
"You may be searching for my wife?Right?"
Rudra asks.
"Yes".
"She left me again.Her boyfriend came back.Now i'm free.We are divorced legally.She is married to him".
Astha is shocked.Rudra goes away.
All the couples are moving to the dance floor.
Astha's eyes are only on Rudra.She remembers her romantic moments with Rudra.
She remembers Rudra begging her to be with him always.
This time Astha is determined.She moves forward strongly.
"Rudra!"
Rudra turns back and looks at her.
She extends her arm.
"Will you dance with me?"
She asks.
Slowly he holds her arm.
She looks deeply into his eyes.
"I promise Rudra..I will never leave your hand".
Rudra smiles with surprise.He holds her hand towards his chest.
He takes her in his arms and moves towards the dance floor.
They sway to the soft music.
