Hello everyone. Nice to see some interesting discussions here.

Agree with you all. But no offence tho, I feel the 'reality' debate is getting increasingly moot. I can safely say that NONE of the prime time Hindi dailies on major GECs pertain to realism as such. There are so many factors like competition/channel pressure thrown into the mix. To top it all for this show, it had some really disappointing numbers. I think mostly their efforts were focused on getting that promo out and airing the contents within the last week. There might have been some behind the scene issues as well, that we do not know.

There are glitches yes. The police call debate... well again that can be ignored in the larger scheme of things they wished to achieve/show. I was disappointed with Meera's and the family's reaction. Fine, they don't intend to go ahead with the social ostracism track... but I think it would have been safe to 'waste' an episode to show Meera's confusion/pain and the family's dilemma. The bed fight and divorce could have been brought in the next day not the same night.

But well that's my problem... not the channel's I guess. Again, I would like to reiterate that it's a daily soap... they thrive on drama.. and 'moving on'... however unreal it might look.They wanted their ratings... and they probably want the ratings to sustain over next week. Hence this rush to get in the new entry ASAP.

About the new entry.

Guess it's because... none of the other side characters and their involvement in the 'concept' made any impact as such. This show would most probably go ahead like Geet itself... MeeVaan and VK being the USPs as of now, all the focus would shift only on the leads. The CVs would run out of tracks. Same happened with Geet... but guess ZeeTV and makers cannot afford that today like StarOne of those times. Channel would have to eventually pull the plug. CVs needed someone/something to spice up the plot. Other characters would most probably get relegated for comic relief, AS OF NOW.

With this step mom,

There is STILL scope to explore their concept.

They need their FL to come back into the limelight... for the past few weeks, it has been the couple and ML...that can be achieved.

Amaya's character can get some scope. They'll have a sensible parallel track like that.

Drama over drama is the way to sustain TRPs

This can go on for a while... so they will not have to exhaust their 'MU video' track trump card and 'Mom's truth' track in the immediate future... probably.

So it's back to the wait game to strike the iron when it's hot.😆Meanwhile the leads can also fall in love without having to over use them.

Personally, I will watch till MeeVaan as a couple and Vivaan a a character make some sense to me.😊

Yeah Nothing about this show is anywhere close to reality I dunno what makes ppl think girls like Meera and Men like Vivaan exist and 3vwn if they do they end up falling for each other. Nope.

But just like they dont flesh out characters, they don't flesh out tracks!

These haphazard tracks are going to cost them viewers in the long run - that's why the video/MM didn't have the desired impact. Yes, trp rose let's see how long they can sustain it.

Or else this is the first time I've seen such a track on tv (the video).

If the same one was used on the high trp shows they would've squeezed out the drama from every angle and the ratings would've hit the roof!

I'm not worried about lack of realism - but this is stretching it.

I don't maintain any hope from this show other than MeeVan - then again cv can surprise us, which I'm awaiting to be.

Shilpa is a good actress with a strong screen presence - I last saw her in Kyunki Saas... shes Vivaan and Amaya *fingers crossed* stepmom - I hope she has a classy role.

But I didn't like Meera's way of speaking to his mom. I would've preferred a different encounter.

If they'r best friends type 'mum +son' I wonder if it's his father recent marriage

As per one convo...their father was in some rehab sort...not sure then when he married😕
