I support the idea that Vivaan wanted Sumer to be the one to break off the marriage. He did not want his name to come into the matter. Especially after the store-room misunderstanding. Sickmer even mentioned this today.

He probably thought it was best Meera did not to see the sordid video and it would have spoiled her relation with Silky.

He is basically trying to do good, with minimal involvement.

My personal take--> Story plot is very shallow. There is no depth in character analysis, growth. There is no proper convo between various characters.

I think that was due the armed soldiers and them thinking Meera was a terrorist.
