I am back with another update.
CHAPTER -66
Pia and Nandini got busy in planning for the surprise.
In the meantime,
Manik went and attended the meeting with the owner of Khurana Industries Mr. Govind Khurana.
Govind Khurana was a thorough gentleman and was strictly professional when at work.
He was highly impressed with Manik's business acheivements at a young age.
After 2 hours of discussion, Manik agreed to the business deal on his terms.
Govind Khurana - Well done young man. I am highly impressed by your business skills. So should I consider a yes from your side.
Manik - Ofcourse Mr. Khurana. The deal is on . We will complete the paperwork once we reach India.
GK- Ok Mr. Malhotra.
Saying this he forwarded his hand for a handshake and Manik obliged.
GK- So Mr. Malhotra, now that we have finalised the deal I would like to invite you along with your family to the birthday party of my daughter tomorrow. Please do grace the party with your presence.
Manik - Sure Mr. Khurana. Though I can't promise anything but will try my best to be there.
GK- Well... Still we would be glad if you do attend it.
With this they bid formal good bye and left .
Manik after the meeting went to the house and didn't find Nandini in the room.
He went to Aarav-Khushi's room and saw them playing.
Manik - Aarav-Khushi...
The kids on hearing Manik's voice stopped playing and ran upto him.
Manik - Aarav-Khushi apki Mumma kaha hai???
Aarav - Mumma to Pia Maasi ke sath garden backyard me hai.
Manik - Garden me???
Khushi -Haan Dadoo... Mumma 1hour se garden me hai aur kisiko bhi waha aane se mana Kia hai.
Manik - Ok bachcho aap log khelo. Mai abhi aaya.
Aarav-Khushi -Ok Dadoo.
With this the kids got busy in the game.
Manik went out and saw Arjun searching for Pia.
Manik - Pia ko dhoondh rahe ho?
Arjun -Haan. Pata nahi kaha chali gayi .
Manik -Garden me hai...
Arjun - Garden me???
Manik -Haan Nandini Aur Pia pichle 1 ghante se garden me hai. Bachcho ne bataya mujhe.
Arjun - Chalo dekhte hai do behne kar kya rahi hai waha?
Manik - Kisi ki bhi entry allowed nahi hai Wahan.
Arjun - What???R u serious? Aisa kya secret kaam kar rahi hai dono? Mai dekhkar aata hoon.
Saying this he was about to go to the garden at the back side of the house when suddenly Pia entered the house and stopped Arjun at the door itself.
Pia-
Hello... Yaha kaha chale aarahe ho?
Don't you know jab tak hum na bole tab tak Kisi ki bhi entry allowed nahi hai yahan pe.
Arjun -But Pia what's going on? Aisa kya kar rahe ho tum dono garden me ???
Pia- Wo to Shaam ko pata chalega... It's a surprise...
Arjun - Surprise??? What is it?
Pia - Arjun it's a surprise. Have patience. Itni bhi jaldi kya hai?
Arjun -But Pia koi hint to do...
Pia - No . Keh dia na ek baar to keh diya.
Nandini also joined Pia and said- Di is absolutely right. You both have to wait till evening to know the surprise.
Manik was listening to all this standing at a distance.
Manik -Arjun it's a waste of time to even try to get to know what's in the mind of these two. So I think we should wait till evening.
Arjun - I agree.But what are we gonna do till evening.
Pia- What do you mean by what are you going to do? Evening tak aap dono free ho to Appa ke office jaiye aur unki help kariye. Maine sahi kaha na Nandu...
Nandini -Ofcourse Di. You are absolutely right. Jiju ap aur Manik dono jaiye office aur Haan jab tak hum na bole tab tak ghar mat aana. Samajhgaye.
Manik - Are you serious??? This means you both are throwing us out of this house???? What do you think Arjun.
Manik said this dramatically in a teasing way.
Arjun - I think u are right. Yahi plan hai in dono ka.
Nandini - Hawww... That's not true. Hum to bas...
Pia- Nandu tu in logo ki baaton me mat aa. They are just teasing you.
Nandini then looked at Manik and Arjun who winked and High fived each other.
Nandini faked anger and said- Aap dono bahut bure ho... Jao mai baat nahi karungi aap dono se.
Manik - Acha baba Sorry. Hum jarahe hai. Happy...
Nandini - Very happy... Ab jaiye...
Both Arjun and Manik sighed and left.
Nandini - Thank God Pia Di ye log maan gaye. Now let's not waste time and get back to our preparations.
Pia - Haan Chalo...
With this both got back to their work.
After a couple of hours Pia and Nandini finished their work and went to their respective rooms to take rest as they were hell tired.
Before going to her room, Nandini checked on the kids and made sure that they had their lunch.
After that she took rest for sometime and then went to Pia's room and saw that Pia was awake.
Nandini - Di mai Kuch kaam se bahar jarahi hoon. Ek ghante me wapas aajaungi. Agar Manik puche to keh dena.
Pia - But Nandu tu ja kaha rahi hai is waqt??? Should I accompany you?
Nandini -No Di I will manage. Aap bas bachcho ke sath Rehna.
Pia- Ok. Tu bachcho ki tension mat le. I will take care of them.
Nandini -Thanks Di... Mai jaldi aajaungi.
Saying this Nandini got ready and left.
Pia selfthought - Pata nahi kaha gayi hogi??? But it's good that she is taking steps towards her better relationship with Jiju. I Hope everything gets better between them soon.
Pia then freshened up and went to kids room and played with them for sometime.
Till then Manik and Arjun arrived.
Pia - Aagaye aap log??? But Appa kaha hai?
Arjun - Wo Kuch kaam se out of city gaye hai. Subah tak wapas aajayenge.
Pia - Ok. You guys go n freshen up. And be here in 20 minutes.
Arjun nodded and left.
Manik to Pia- Nandini kaha hai??? Dikhayi nahi derahi...
Pia - Jiju wo Actually Kuch kaam se bahar gayi hai. Bas aati hi hogi.
Manik too went to his room.
Manik self thought- Aisa kya zaruri kaam hosakta hai Jo wo akeli hi chali gayi. Pata nahi kya Chal raha hai Uske dimag me.
Saying this he dialled her number.
Nandini picked up hus call immediately .
Manik - Nandini Where are you?
Nandini - Right behind you...
Manik turned and saw Nandini standing at the door with a wide smile on her face.
Manik disconnected the call and said- Thank God you are finally here. Do u even have an idea how worried I was? Waise kaha gayi thi tum?
Nandini - Kuch urgent kaam tha.
Manik - What urgent kaam??? Bataogi bhi...
Nandini came dangerously close to Manik and traced her finger on Manik's face.
Nandini - Itni jaldi nahi. Have some patience Mr. Manik Malhotra.
Manik was surprised with Nandini's sudden change in behaviour.
Manik - Acha... Would be waiting for your surprise then.
Nandini - Ab chaliye jaldi se ready hojaiye aur neeche chaliye.
Manik - Ok. As you say Mrs. Malhotra. Aapka hukm sar aankhon pe.
With this Manik got freshened up and went down for dinner.
Pia and Arjun were already seated at the dinner table.
Manik greeted Both of them and sat to have dinner.
Nandini too joined them with the kids.
All of them had dinner and then Nandini put the kids to sleep.
Then Nandini and Pia blindfolded both Manik and Arjun respectively.
Manik - Nandini kya kar rahi ho? Ye aankhon pe Patti kyu baandhi hai?
Nandini - Manik... Shhh... Have patience. Abhi pata chal jayega apko sab.
Both the sisters took their respective husbands to the garden.
Then they removed the blindfold and said in unison - SURPRISE...
Manik and Arjun looked around and saw the romantic setup in the garden and a smile appeared on their faces.
Pia- Aap log chup kyu ho??? Batao na surprise kaisa laga?
Arjun - It's awesome.
Nandini looked at Manik who said -Yes. It's simply wow. I m highly impressed.
Arjun - WE are highly impressed...
Pia and Nandini got really happy that Arjun and Manik liked their surprise and their hardwork paid off finally.
(The romantic setup/romantic movie date planned by Nandini and Pia)
Nandini - Aap log baithiye na. Hume Kuch important baat karni hai.
Manik and Arjun took their respective seats.
Nandini and Pia stood infront of the screen and said- So we have something special for you both.
Nandini -
Manik hum bahut lucky hai Jo Hume aap jaisa life partner Mila Jo apni Khushi se zyada hamari Khushi ko importance deta hai.
Jo hamari family ko apni family samajhta hai...
Jo hamari problems ko apni problem samajhta hai...
Jo har situation me hamare sath khada rehta hai...
Jiske liye hamari Khushi se badhkar aur Kuch nahi hai.
Jo hamare face pe smile lane ke ki Kuch bhi karne ko ready hojata hai.
I am really very lucky and blessed to have you as my husband.
Isliye aaj mai apse apne dil ki baat sabke samne kehna chahti hoon...
Nandini went towards Manik who was watching Nandini with all his love.
Nandini took Manik's hand and brought him to the place where she was standing.
Then she got on her knees and said- Manik I love you...
This brought a huge smile on his face. He felt content that Nandini had finally expressed her love for him.
Nandini - Yes. I love you very very much and will always love you till my last breath.
Manik held Nandini's hand and made her stand straight.
Manik - I love you too Nandini... Hamesha se...
Nandini immediately hugged Manik tightly and stayed like that for a few minutes.
Manik then broke the hug and said - Waise I liked your surprise. Mujhe nahi pata tha ki tum ye sab plan kar rahi thi mere liye.
Nandini and Manik shared a cute eyelock which was broken by a fake cough of Arjun and Pia.
Nandini looked here and there.
Pia - You guys must have forgotten that hum log abhi bhi yaha hai.
Arjun - But on a serious note, it was a very cute proposal by Nandini. Hats off to you Nandini... Warna to Kuch ladkiya itna difficult bana deti hai hum ladko ke liye.
Pia hit him on his shoulder playfully and said- Hello what do you mean... When did I make it difficult for you? Infact you were the one who used to throw tantrums and all.
Arjun - Acha baba I agree you are sweet as Well.
Let's not fight here. And continue with this...
Pia - Haan ... you are right. Let's watch a movie.
With this both the couples sat infront of the screen and started the movie.
Arjun and Pia were enjoying the movie thoroughly with a bit of romance in between.
Nandini was Not at all interested in the movie and was looking at the watch from time to time.
And about Manik... Do I need to tell about what he was doing????
He was just lost in Nandini. He had never expected Nandini to confess her love so openly. It's not that he didn't like it. He toh loved it to the core.
But right now he was just admiring his lady love.
Nandini was making cute pouts whenever she looked at the time.
Manik - Kya baat hai Nandini? Tum baar baar time kyu dekh rahi ho?
Nandini - Nahi to aisi koi baat nahi hai. Mai to bas...
Manik - Nandini stop lying Ok. What is it????
Nandini - Kuch bhi to nahi...
Pia observed this and realised that Nandini was talking about some special surprise for Manik.
Pia- Arjun I think we should now retire to our rooms . Mujhe to bahut neend aarahi hai.
Then she turned towards Nandini and said- Nandu tumhe bhi Ab rest karna chahiye. You must be tired after the whole days work.
Nandini - Haan Di... you are right. Let's just call it a day.
All four of them got up and left to their rooms.
As soon as Manik and Nandini entered their room, Nandini closed the door.
Manik went to the washroom and changed his dress into vest and tracks and came out.
He saw that Nandini was standing in front of the mirror fidgeting with her fingers.
Manik came towards her and hugged her from backside and rested his chin on her shoulder.
Manik - What's the matter Nandini??? You look nervous. Is there anything bothering you?
Nandini -Wo actually I have a surprise for you...
Manik looked at Nandini through the mirror and asked - Ek aur surprise... What is it????

I am working on it.
I don't know how it will turn out to be. Coz it is the first time I will be writing such stuff .
