Padma told Pia and Nandini that Manik had agreed to celebrate the kids birthday at the Murthy Mansion.
Pia and Nandini got excited hearing this.
They said that they will plan the best birthday party for Aarav-Khushi.
But Padma said- Nai Beta . Party to hamare ghar pe hai lekin Manik ne kaha hai ke saare arrangements wohi karega.
Pia and Nandini happily agreed.
Nandini went to her room to sleep.
Pia- Maa mai bahar jaa rahi hu. 1 ghante me wapas aajaungi.
Padma- But Beta itni raat ko kaha jaarahi ho.
Pia- Meri friend ke ghar jaa rahi hu. Kuch urgent kaam hai. Mai aati hu Maa . Bye . Love you.
With this she rushed out without giving Padma a chance to question further.
Padma- Arey Beta sun toh...
But by then Pia had left.
Padma sighed and went to her room .
She bolted the door and made a call to someone.
Padma- Hello . Haan mai bol rahi hu .Padma Murthy.
The person on the other side- Ji Padma ji. Boliye.
Padma- Maine Jo kaam kaha tha apko wo hua ya nahi.
Person- Madam we are trying our level best . But we couldn't get the desired result.
Padma- 3 saal se ab har baat yahi bolte aarahe hai. Aap achche SR koshish nahi kar rahe ho shayad. Warna abtak to pata chal Jana chahiye tha.
Person- Madam aap yeh kya bol rahe ho. We are the best in the business. Aaj tak aisa nai hua ki hum fail hue ho. But aapka case thoda complicated hai. Thoda time lagega but kaam hojayega.
Padma- Please mai request karti hu. Mujhe jald se jald achchi khabar sunaiye.
Person- Aap befikr rahiye madam. Aapka kaam hojayega. But Madam apne is month ki fees nahi send Kari abhi tak.
Padma- Theek hai mai rakhti hu.
Saying this she disconnected the call.
Padma then dialled Manik's number.
Manik- Namaste Maa.
Padma- Jeete raho Beta. Bachche sogaye kya.
Manik- Ji abhi soye hai.
Padma- Chalo Acha hai.
Manik- Kya baat hai Maa . Sab theek hai na. Itni raat ko call kiya apne.
Padma- Beta wo actually kuch kaam tha.
Manik- Boliye na kya kaam hai.
Padma- Maine aaj unlogo ko call kiya tha.
Manik- Hmm... Kuch pata chala.
Padma- Abhi tak to nahi. But unhone kaha tha ke bahut jald pata chal jayega.
Manik- OK.
Padma- Wo log keh rahe the ki is month ki payment nahi mili unhe abtak. Agar tumhe koi problem na ho to hum kal chale unke office payment karne ke liye.
Manik- Ji bilkul Maa. Usme problem ki baat kya hai. Kab chalna hai.
Padma- Kal dopahar 2 baje.
Manik- Theek hai Maa. Aap ready rahiye . I will be there by 2 PM.
Padma- OK Beta . Good night.
Manik- Good night Maa.
Manik kept the phone and went to Anita's photo hanging on the wall in his room.
He stood there staring at it for a long time.
Manik- Dekha Anita tumhe dhundne ke liye Maa kitni koshishe kar rahi hai.
We have tried everything but couldn't succeed in finding you. But Maa hasn't lost hope.
She still thinks that she will find you soon. I just hope she succeeds in her efforts.
Author's point of view-
Padma was talking to a detective who specializes in finding missing persons.
She had been in contact with them since the time Anita had disappeared.
Manik knows about this.
He thinks that this is not going to help in finding Anita as police has extensively searched for Anita.
But then he doesn't want to break Padma's trust on the detective as she is very depressed about Anita's disappearance.
Just like others even Manik has presumed Anita to be dead but for Padma's happiness he is helping her.
Somewhere even he has a little hope that may be Padma is right.
