Hello guys...

I have always wanted to write a story on MaNan but unfortunately, I can't write, not my cup of tea.

This is one of my favouurite novel, named AFTER by Anna todd. And I really want this lovestory on MaNan.So basically I am just changing the names and some of the plots otherwise, everything is same from the novel.

So here it goes,

Nandini Murthy is an 18 year old college student with a simple life, excellent grades, and a sweet boyfriend. She always has things planned out ahead of time, until she meets a rude boy named Manik Malhotra , with too many tattoos and piercings who shatters her plans.

Chapter 1



"Nandinii!!!" I hear my mom's voice call from downstairs. I groan to myself and roll out of my tidy yet comfortable bed.
While neatly tucking the corner of my bed sheets into the headboard , I take my time because this is the last morning that I will be completing the task for months.

"Nandini!!" She calls again.

"I am up." I yell back. The cabinets open and close downstairs , the sounds of her frantically preparing breakfast . The knot in my stomach grows with each step to the bathroom , by the time I start the shower, it's unbearable. I spent the last few hours nervously anticipating college. My weekends were spent studying and preparing for this day while my peers were out getting drunk, wasting their future and jeopardising their future. The day my acceptance letter came from Mumbai University I was thrilled though I knew I would get it. My mother cried for what felt like hours and I have to admit that I was pretty proud of myself. All my hard works paid off.

The hot water loosens my strained muscles, how long have I been here? I hurry and wash my hair and body and wrapped the towel around my body when my mother calls my name again. I ignore her and continued getting ready. I know she is nervous for my arrival at college but I have had this day planned down to the hour for months. My boyfriend Dhruv will be here anytime soon to ride with me and my mother . He is one year younger than me and for the hundredth time I scold her mother mentally for putting him in Kindergarten a year later. He is a brilliant student and will be joining Mumbai University next year. I do wish that he was coming now, especially considering that I won't know a single person at college. I just want a decent roommate , that's the only thing I am asking for.

"Nandini"

"I am coming. Stop yelling my name for god's sake." I yelled as I walked down the stairs.

Dhruv was sitting in the drawing room. "Hey college girl" he smiles a bright ,perfectly lined smile while standing to pull me into a hug.

"Hey" I give him an equally bright smile and pull my dirty blonde hair into a bun once he released me from his tight hug.

"I will put your bags in the car." Dhruv said as he picks up the key from my table. With a quick kiss on my cheek, he quickly disappear from the room.

The butterflies in my stomach dance as I walk to the car. Atleast I have two hours to make him disappear . I have no idea what college will be like. Will I be able make new friends?
