After hiding the thing in his wardrobe he took a long breath of relief but soon his breath again got hitched in his throat listening to what Nandini said...he was numb and was in a dilemma as in what to answer...It was not like manik had not expected this question...he was sure that he had to answer this question but he had not expected to face this question so soon...!!
When all these thoughts were pacing in maniks mind Nandini was getting very impatience to get the answers for her questions...she waited fr few seconds but seeing no response she once again asked her question.."Manik ...answer me...Do u take me as your wife or not..have u accepted this marriage ?"
Manik composing himself turned to see Nandini looking towards him with hopeful eyes...and fr a second he got confused as in why Nandini had hopes with him..??
But chucking the thoughts he concentrated on what to answer her...!!
Manik slowly went near Nandini and catches her hands and made her sit in the bed and he himself sat on the ground in front of her in his knees and said in a calm voice...
M: Nandini..u already know me and even my answer...!! We were always good friends and intact best friends ..u have always supported me and given me peace...!! And for this I will always be grateful to u...u will always be my best friend..u know..(Nandini cut him in middle and once again asked..)
N: manik.I said do u regard me as or wife..??(directly looking in Hus eyes)
M: (looking down..) Nandini..I give u all the rights of being my wife but not the right of lo.love..!!
N: Manik..aall your wealth and money..does not mean anything to me..Don't u love me..??
M:(and this was not expected by manik..he immediately looked at her and still he could see hope and something else in her eyes but he could not recognize what it really was...in a stammering tone he said..) Y .dodoes it maatter Nandini..?? And y did u accept the marriage..cause I know even u r not happy with this marriage..I don't deserve u..what was the thing that forced u to agree with this marriage. Did dad blackmail u or ...
Manik was cut off in middle by Nandini loud voice ..and what she said once again shocked him..before he could register anything he once again heard her saying in much louder voice "Manik I LOVE YOU..YES I REALLY LOVE YOU..""
And with this Nandini started sobbing whereas manik could not believe what he heard...hr instantly stood and said in a doubtful voice "Nandini what r u Ss..saying?"
(Manik turned to go but he was stopped by Nandini ...she catches his hands tightly and this time she said in a stern voice "Manik Do U LOVE ME OR NOT??"
