Part 9
It's been more than two hours , both Manik and Nandini were sleeping in the same position.
Nandini on Manik's lap and Manik resting his head on the back of the couch.
She opened her eyes very slowly feeling her eyelids heavy due to the painkiller shot that has been given to her by Dr. Abhimanyu.
She felt her gaze hazy.
She blinked her eyes twice or thrice to take a grip of herself and clear her vision and then she felt a tight hold on her hand that was resting on her stomach.
Nandini lift her hand to see that how Manik's hand is holding her hand entwined with her fingers resting on her stomach.
She lifted her eyelids to administer that Manik was sleeping resting his head on the back.
She figured what happened and all the things flashed in front of her eyes like a projector.
From Manik talking to her till she fall from the stairs.
A smile crept on her lips thinking about the conversation she had with him , she heard him talking to her addressing her looking into her eyes...
But at the same time she felt sad that he was still mad at her.
'But I fell near the stairs than... How come I end up on the couch and that too on Manik's lap...' She thought and sat up with a jerk.
The sudden movement gave her head a dizziness.
But she blinked it away and was collecting herself to stand on her two feet.
With this exercise of hers Manik woke up too.
He saw her struggling to stand up and before he could stop her she was already up on her feet ready to go.
"Where do you think you are going..." He asked her which makes her surprised.
She ignored him and took a step forward but the medicine that was running in her blood make her wobbly...
She hold her forhead with her fingers and was About to loose the balance but two solid hands grabbed her shoulders from the back.
"You fell from the stairs.. You lost your conscious... I didn't know what to do at the situation... Main tumhe utha kar yahan le Aaya..." he paused
"Seeing you behosh in that condition I really got scared... I called Cabir and told him everything... And he came with Dr. Abhimanyu...,
and he checked you... He gave you a painkiller... I don't know maybe...
Usme sedative bhi hai... You were asleep for more than two hours... But still you'll need rest... " Manik explained everything to her not knowing what else to tell her.
She still ignored him and just jerking him away she walked towards the kitchen.
"I have to make dinner... He needs to eat healthy food... He's taking so many strong medicine... And ya I have to give him medicine too... I have so much work to do..." She was talking and murmuring to herself and entered the kitchen.
" Nandini listen..." Manik ran after her in the kitchen.
She didn't gave a heed to him... And opened the fridge to take out vegetables.
"Hum bahar se food order kar lenge... Tonight we will manage...
Tomorrow you can cook whatever you want... But aaj raat rest karlo...please..." He was saying in a pleading way.
Nandini still ignored him.
She was in her own world.
"Nandini... " Manik screamed on her at last to bring her senses back to make her listen to him.
She stopped in her place.
'Aaahhh... My name... He took my name... It felt so good... My name felt the most beautiful name in this whole world... Just by coming out from his mouth... He called me... Like after so long... All l wanted was to hear my name in his voice... And here it is... He called me... Ohhh... Aiyyappa thank you so much... Iss Chote se accident ki wajah se... You have broken all the walls... And barriers between us... Thank you Aiyyappa... Thank you...' Her happiness had no boundaries today.
He held her by her shoulders and closing the fridge he makes her sit on the chair near the counter.
He knelt down in front of her and hold her hands.
"Nandini listen to me..." He looked into her eyes but she was looking all over the kitchen other than meeting his gaze.
'Jab mujhe baat Karni thi tou meri taraf Dekhta bhi nahi tha... Aur ab... He's ordering me now.. Main bhi baat nahi karungi..'she thought.
Manik cupped her face in his hands and turned her towards him.
"I'm sorry... I'm really very sorry..." He said very softly.
"I know I've been very rude to you... I've been a very big jerk... But please forgive me..." He hold her hands leaving her face.
"Tum mujh pe ghussa ho jao... Mujhe danto... Jo chahti ho Karo... But please don't do this to me... I can't see you hurt... Mujh mein itni himmat nahi hai... Main tumhe takleef mein nahi dekh sakta..." Manik's eyes gets moist...
He raised her hands to his lips and kissed her knuckles.
"Itne saalon baad Tum mujhe mili ho... I don't care... Tum Kahan thi... Kyun gayi thi... Only thing matters to me is... YOU ARE HERE... In front of me... I don't want to loose you again... And I don't want to waste time in fighting... " His head was bend down on her lap.
Nandini felt happiness hearing all this from him...
She saw that care and love for her in him again... and was so elated by his gesture.
He was sitting on his knees in front of her explaining her that how important she is for him.
This is what she was waiting for... Hear him talk to her... Without any barriers of madness , anger , frustration , just talk.
He looked at her and she turned her face again.
"I know you are mad at me... Itne dinon se main tumhe hard time de raha tha... And I was being a stubborn head... But you... You never gave up on me... Tum meri har ziyadati ko bardash kar rahi thi... You were being a sweetest person... Without complaints you were taking care of me... " he smiled at himself.
"Now it's my turn... I will make sure that you take good rest , eat well and takes care of yourself... And I will also make sure that you talk to me... Coz I know...
You are showing your anger by not talking to me... Just to make it even...to pay back... Right..." He smiled again and looked at her with lot of love.
She didn't answer.
"Ok now give me the number of any pizza place or any food services... We'll call and order food..." By saying that he grabbed her phone from the counter. He knew that she will definitely make him pay by not talking to him.
Right at that moment her phone started ringing.
It was Cabir.
Manik turned it on.
"Hello..." Manik talked.
"Hey dude... Nandini kaisi hai... Is she awake.. Usse hosh aa Gaya..." Cabir showered him with questions.
"Hold on hold on... Sab theek hai... Usse hosh bhi aa Gaya hai... Tu Khud baat karle... Woh yahin hai..." Manik passed the phone to her.
"Here it's Cabir..." He said.
He handed her the phone and sat on the other chair.
"Hello Nandini.. Kaisi ho... How are you feeling now...Tumhe ziyada dard tou nahi hai na... " Cabir asked in a concerning tone.
"I'm fine Cabir... And because of that medicine I feel a little dizzy... But I'll be ok... And ya Cabir thanks for everything... I heard that you came with Abhimanyu... " she paused avoiding Manik's stare on her.
" you've been a big help..." She said.
"Acha... You HEARD... It means that the monster Malhotra of yours at last... started talking to you... Right..." His voice sounds exciting.
"And as far as I know... Usne tumhe sorry bhi bola hoga..." Cabir asked..,
But Nandini didn't answer.
"Bolo Nandini...Did he say sorry to you or not..." Cabir asked again.
"Hmm..." She just hmmed.
"Yesss... I knew it... " Cabir said in excitement.
"Ok now listen to me carefully... He really got scared by your fall... Mujhe kehna tou nahi chahiye... But Woh bilkul Chote bachon jaise ro raha tha... After seeing you in that condition... "Care and concern can be clearly heard in Cabir's voice.
"I know he has given you very hard time... But Nandini Bahut ho Gaya yaar... It's high time that you guys should sort your problems... Both of you have suffered a lot... And both of you deserve happiness... It's been almost eight years... So just clear everything out... Next time I meet you guys I want to here some good things from both of you... Any thing... Something good... And I mean it... Yaar ab patch up karlo..." He said.
"I'm not saying to forgive him right now but... Don't drag it for long... " he concluded.
"Waise Tumhari flight thi na..." Nandini asked him changing the topic.
"Flight mein hi tou hoon... Abhi take off hone waali hai... That's why I called... After I reached I won't be able to call... I will be busy with Navya ..." He informed.
"Meri Navya se baat karao na..." She asked him.
" I will for sure... But keeping her condition on mind... First I have to explain her everything... So maybe in a day or two... " Nandini can hear the announcement.
"Ok Nandini the flight is gonna take off... I have to hang up... Please take care of both of you... Ok..." He requested.
"Ya Cabir... Don't worry.." And they hang up after saying byes.
Meanwhile Manik was thinking ...
' she talks to him like a normal person... And when it comes to me... She was not even looking at me... But it's not her fault totally... Partially it's my fault too.., I'll make everything ok... Soon..' He was looking at the nearest pizza place or any restaurant for food delivery in the phone book.
She figured his frustration by his look but she thought.
'Tumne itne din mujhse baat nahi Ki naa... Now it's my turn... Now I'm gonna let you taste your own medicine.. Main Tumhe dikhati hoon... Ignore Karne par aur baat nahi Karne se kitni takleef hoti hai... And how we will get hurt...' She pursed her lips and turned herself away from him.
Manik called a pizza place and gave the order for two and when the buy asked for the address he asked Nandini
"Yahan ka address bolo... Woh ladka pooch raha hai..."
Nandini grabbed the phone from his hand and start giving him the address.
'Wah Kya luck hai... Even that boy is lucky... ' he makes a pouty face thinking
'she is talking to him...And see my luck... I couldn't get the honor to hear her voice talking to me... So unlucky I am...' He makes a crying face which didn't went unnoticed by Nandini.
She understood his babyish thoughts and smiles hiding it from him.
When it was dinner time Manik didn't let Nandini get up from her place and do any work.
The pizza was delivered and Manik arranged everything on the dining table.
"Everyday you are feeding me food right... So today I'm going to feed you... With my hands..." Manik informed her about his intentions.
Nandini popped her eyes out turning her face on the other side.
He grabbed a slice of pizza and took it to her mouth.
She was in a shock by his actions so she didn't open her mouth still in the state of shock.
Manik smirked...
thinks something and he kept the pizza slice back on the plate and wiping his hands with the napkins.
He went close to her and cupped her face in his hands and going more closer he gave a detailed kiss on her forehead.
She closed her eyes and felt his touch on her and her heart fluttered with happiness and on the other hand the beat of hers raises to its extremes.
Moving his fingers to her neck he kissed her cheeks one by one.
He smiled on the effect he is having on her.
He left her face , but she is still lost in his touch.
Manik took the slice and fed her... Stopping himself from smiling...
And she eat like an obedient kid.
"Tum mujhe aise hi khilati ho na daily... Now it's your turn... To feed me..." He said bringing her out from her trance...
She ignored him and quietly eating her food.
"Nahi khilaogi... Theek hai... Tou samajh lo... Agla kiss Kahan hoga... Phir mujhe blame nahi karna..." He warned her mischievously.
'Aiyyappa... Why... Why me... Aapko main hi mili thi... To handle this monster...' She thought looking up.
"Your Aiyyappa is not coming to feed me... You have to... So Aiyyappa se meri shikaayath karna bandd Karo... And start... I'm waiting..." He said watching her face.
"Monster..." She murmured under her breadth.
"Maine suna... " he claimed again.
Before he continues Nandini stuffed his mouth with a big slice of pizza.
He glared at her but she didn't stop and continue feeding him till he's done.
Manik cleaned the dishes and did the rest of the work before closing the lights.
Nandini already went to her room to lie down.
She kept his medicine ready on the side table and took hers as well.
Manik came and took the medicine.
"I'm not Sleeping in separate room... Do you understand... I'm going to sleep with you in this room... So don't even think about arguing... Ok.." Seeing her lying down he told her.
'Mujhe pata tha... That's why I already set up his clothes here..' She thought to herself.
He went to the cupboard to check if his clothes are here or not.
He smirked and bite his lower lip as usual knowing how thoroughly she knows him.
He took out his vest and sleeping tracks and went to the washroom to change.
He came out and went out of the room again thinking something.
Nandini was lying down on the bed on her back staring at the ceiling. She heard the guitar playing from outside.
She was about to get up and go check what Manik is up to but he entered the room playing it.
He came near her and smiled at her but she turned her face on the other side. He started singing.
Teri Saanson ki saans mein
Jo hoon tou main hoon
Teri khwaabon ki aanch mein
Jo hoon to main hoon
Nandini was trying to understand themmeaning of the song... though she knows what he was trying to explain through the song. Manik always has the habit of expressing his feelings through the song. He's very good at it.
He bend on her on the bed and sang stressing these words.
Tera hone se hi mera hona hai
Tujko khona jaise khudko khona hai
Tu jo hai tou main hoon
Yun jo hai tou main hoon
Tu jo hai tou main hoon
Yun ko hai tou main hoon
He came on the other side and sat on the bed on her left. He hold the guitar with his left hand and put his right hand on her forehead. And caresses her forehead putting all her hair at the back.
Nandini closed her eyes and lost in his touch.

Bin tere mujh mein Kya hai

Manik was looking at her constantly without blinking his eyes and drinking her beauty through his gaze.
She can feel his piercing stare on her but she didn't open her eyes. She was just enjoying his care... His touch and his feel on her...
As she got it after so long.
Tujh mein hi suno ya meri hai
Tere ek pal mein sadiyaan meri
Bin tere main sehra sa hoon
Bin tere main khatra bhi nahi
The words of his song was making her the most luckiest person on this world...
Even after so much time he still feels the same way for her... Like she has the same feeling for him.

She was almost sleepy so she closed her eyes and turned on to her right.
Manik kept the guitar on the side of the bed. And lay himself down. He moved closer to Nandini and slide his right hand under her head.
Nandini too adjusted her head on his arm. Feeling her getting comfortable on his arm , Manik frame his left hand on her stomach and pulled her more closer.
Her back was touching his hard rock chest.
'Mujhe pata hai... Yeh naraazgi bas Kuch pal Ki hai... Main Tumhe mana lunga...' Manik whispered in her hair. He smiled at her childishness.
Manik cuddles himself in her hair and drifted into sleep. Hearing his soft snores she opened her eyes and tilted her head a little to see him.
His hold was loosened a little due to his sleep so she turned to face him.
Now it's her turn to nuzzles her face in his chest. She moved a little up and kissed on his neck.
He twitched in his sleep. She smiled and settled herself in his chest close to his heart , keeping in mind his stitches.
She gave a soft kiss on his heart and closed her eyes to sleep.
Once again two pure souls who are deeply and madly in love with each other ,
even meeting after so many years , even after their cute little fights ,
They couldn't keep themselves away from each other they drifted into deep slumber in each other's arms.
In the morning Manik woke up and smiled at the sight... And he felt a warmness feeling her so close to him.
He kissed her head and without disturbing her moved away pulling his hand. He went to the washroom and Nandini's slumber was distributed by the constant buzzing of her phone.
She grabbed the phone and turned it on.
"Hello... Dr Nandini murthy speaking..." She answered the phone with closed eyes.
"Hello Nandu... Abhimanyu here... How are you... Kaisi ho..." Abhimanyu asked.
"Hello Abhimanyu... I'm feeling good...and thanks for coming on the short notice..." She opens her eyes and sat on the bed.
"Iss mein thanks Ki Kya baat hai... Yeh batao are you feeling any internal pain or any kind of other pain... And Tum kitni upar se giri thi..." He asked as a doctors point of view.
"No I don't have any internal pain... And I fell from maybe 6 or 7 stairs... But I didn't get hurt that much... Thanks for your concern Abhimanyu..." She saw and, came out of the washroom and was taking out his clothes to take a shower.
"And ya one more thing.." Abhimanyu continued.
"I know why you took the leave... And I'm happy for you... That one special person had actually arrived in your life... I figured when I came to your house yesterday... But on the other hand you have to take care of yourself also with him... Ok..." He said.
Nandini smiled at his understanding.
"Thanks Abhimanyu... For everything... " she blushed by his comments.
"Thanks say Kaam nahi chalega... Apni shaadi mein Mujhe Zaroor bulana..." Abhimanyu teased her which makes her face red like a cherry.
Manik noticed her changing color and trying to think what's the conversation was about.
She got up from the bed and said out loud without looking at him.
"I'll bring hot water for the sponge bath..l" and she was about to go out of the room. But stopped by his statement.
"I don't want any sponge bath... I want a real bath... And I'm going to take it now...l" saying that he went inside the washroom again.
"But..." She didn't complete her sentence because it's useless to explain him anything.
"Aaah... " Manik screamed from the washroom.
He smirked with a naughty thought.
"Ab dekhta hoon... Kaise mujhse baat nahi karti hai... I know I've over reacted a little... But...ab Bas... Bahut ho Gaya... I can't stay away from her anymore..." He was talking to himself making a plan in his head.
Outside in the room when Nandini was cleaning the bed cover she heard his scream she got scared.
'Ab Kya kar liya hai Isne...'she thought
"Pata nahi yeh Meri baat sunta kyun nahi hai... I'm sure... He must have hurt himself... Maine kaha Ki.. I'll give him a sponge bath... But nahi... Usko Tou Meri baat hi nahi manni... " she blabbing to herself came and knocked on the washroom door.
But to her surprise the door was open.
She pushed the door and went inside and found Manik standing under the shower looking at his wounds on his chest.
Nandini got worried and walked fast to him and closing the shower she touched him on his chest with her fingers to check whether it started bleeding again or not.
In her concern she didn't even notice that Manik was standing only in his shorts wet from head to toe.
Manik notices her coming closer to him and a very naughty smirk ran on his lips.
He felt a strong electric current ran through his body till his spine as soon as she touched him.
With her concerning gaze she ran her fingers all over his chest his shoulders and his arm.
He grabbed her hands in his fist not able to control himself more due to her closeness and the way she was touching him.
Reality hit Nandini... She lowered her gaze
And she realized where she was... And what condition was Manik in...
She froze at her place and couldn't able to look up into his eyes.
She wanted to leave the washroom as soon as possible so she tried to turn around but to her dismay Manik tighten his hold on her wrist.
He pulled her closer making her breath hitched in her throat. She couldn't breathe sensing him so close to her.
She closed her eyes. Taking the advantage of her closed eyes he bend down and kissed her blushed cheek.
She kept her hands on his chest breathing heavily. He traced his fingers from her wrist to her arms all the way to her shoulders.
He hold her by her shoulders. She can feel his warm breath so close to her face. Her heart is racing to the unlimited speed.
He smiled on the effect he's causing on her , he saw her face lovingly and kissed her on her forehead.
Going down he gave a kiss on each of her closed eyes one by one..
He tucked the hair strands behind her ear and kissed her earlobe.
She was holding on to his shoulders tight for her dear life because her heart is pumping faster and faster her knees is giving up the balance and she couldn't make herself stand properly...
He puts a finger under her chin and lift it with a jerk...
She let out a deep sigh couldn't able to handle him and his sweet tortures more so she glide her hands around his neck and hugged him right there in the washroom.
He slide down his hands down to her waist and hugged her back crushing her to himself... nuzzling his face in the crook of her neck. This was the first time both of them hugged so passionately after so many years.. Willingly With each other's consent.
She was halfway wet due to Manik's wet body.
And the thin fabric of her kurti is not helping at all in hiding her assets.
It's making Manik more difficult to control himself. He kissed her neck very hard which makes her gasp aloud...
He started giving her trail of small kisses from her shoulder to her ear to her jaw and close to her lips.
They were lost in each other. Manik was about to bend down on her mouth to kiss her pushing her back to the wall...
But their cozy moment was broken by the water that started flowing from the top... with Nandini's back pressed to the shower knob.
Both of them startled by the sudden flow of water. Both of them came back to the current situation and looked here and there to avoid each other's gaze. Nandini still holding his shoulders and Manik's hands were still on her waist.
The water is making her more uncomfortable... She knew that her clothes are making her expose the more... beyond their expectations. She covered herself with both of her hands feeling shy.
He understood her uneasiness and grabbed a towel from the hook... He closed the shower and covered her...
He walked her outside and makes her stop in the door way...
"Agar ab bhi... If you don't talk to me... Tou just be ready... I know how to make you talk... " he whispered in a husky tone going near her ear.
"I'm giving you couple of hours... If you don't talk to me after that... Than... Just think about what all I can do to make you talk..." Saying that he went into the washroom again.
She blushed and smiled both together by the eventful incident happen just now between both of them.
"Aiyyappa... Kitne demands karta hai yeh... Aur mere upar hukum bhi chalata hai... When he was not talking to me... I tried all by best and put all my efforts to make him talk to me... And now... He is doing all sorts of naughty things to make me talk... " she looks up and asked her Aiyyappa.
"This is not fair Aiyyappa... " she whined making a cry baby face.
"I heard everything...Your Aiyyappa also wants you to talk to me... That's why he's making ways for you... So forget about everything thing and be ready..." Manik screamed from the washroom.
"Aiyyappa..." Nandini tapped her feet on the ground and went to the cupboard to take out her clothes.
