Nandini came out of the OT wiping off her tears and straightening herself.
Dr. Kumar saw her and got upset on her.
"Dr. Murthy... You know the stunt you showed inside could have cost the patients life... We could have lost him... I didn't expected such irresponsible behavior from you..."
"I'm sorry sir..." She too felt guilty of her behavior inside.
"Sorry can't do anything... I know you have a very clean record... That's why I'm leaving you... But next time I'm going to complain against you to your seniors... So better be very careful... And always remember... When you are in operation theater trying to save a humans life... You can't get emotional... Your concentration has to be focus on the patient... Because that patients life will be in your hands... Just a split of a second and you can loose the patient..." Dr. kumar would've continued more giving a lesson on responsibility but Nandini got saved by the nurse who just entered.
"Doctors... Woh jo doosre patient hai... Who was admitted with him..." Pointing towards the OT the nurse continue.
"Usse Hosh aa Gaya hai..,"
"So... You guys carry on I'll take the leave... I'll be in my cabin rest of the night... If you need me just buzz..." Saying that Dr. Kumar left the room.
'Who can that be... Cabir or Dhruv...'
Nandini thought to herself.
Both Doctors Abhimanyu and Nandini walked to the general emergency.
"What are the vitals of this patient nurse..." Abhimanyu asked.
"Pulse and BP normal... Some scratches... And a minor head and hand injury... " nurse gave the details.
"Is there anybody with these people..." Abhimanyu asked the nurse again.
"Yes Doctor... There's a man waiting in the waiting room.. He said that he's there manager..." Nurse replied.
As soon as Abhimanyu entered the emergency room.
"How's Manik... Manik kaisa hai... Is he ok... Woh Theek toh hai na..." Cabir was very restless and eager to know about Manik.
"Relax gentleman... Relax... Aapko bhi Kafi chott aayi hai... And your friend or whoever that is... He's fine... Out of danger... He lost a lot of blood... He has to gain conscious with in next 12hrs... Otherwise he can be in critical condition..." Abhimanyu took his medical chart from the bed railing and saw his name and said.
"So Mr. Dhawan... I'm Dr Abhimanyu... Your on duty Doctor... Me and my partner Dr Murthy will be attending you tonight..."
"You can call me Cabir... And Can I meet Manik..." Cabir asked not paying any attention to the name or maybe because he has known Nandini by her first name..
Nandini was out side the room standing near the window looking and hearing everything.
She was very worried and curious to know how did this happen to them... And where is Dhruv Aliya and Mukti...
She wanted to ask everything and wanted to know what went wrong how did they end up like this.
"You can only see him from outside as he's unconscious and they are shifting him to ICU... But I would suggest that you take rest tonight... And you can get the discharge tomorrow morning... Than you can meet him..." Abhimanyu said checking his records and added the necessary entry...
"Doctor Abhi Abhi aapne jo naan liya... Your partner... Can you say that name again..." It clicked in Cabir's mind..
"Dr. Murthy... She was right here..." He turned around to find Nandini with him. But she was not there.
"Maybe she went to see other patients... Both us will take rounds and check on you and your friends... You please try to get some sleep sir... It will be good for you..." Dr Abhimanyu said and giving instructions to the duty nurse he left the room.
'If my instincts are not wrong... Whatever I'm thinking... Can it be true???... Will it be Nandini... But it's been almost eight long years... No maybe I'm wrong... Duniya mein Woh ek he Murthy thodi hai... There can be more than one...' Cabir thought lying down on his hospital bed.
'But Doctor said that SHE was right here... I'm sure of it now it has to be Nandini...' Cabir was so restless that he wanted to know who it is...
And this was all noticed by Nandini who was watching his restlessness from the window.
She wanted to know everything but she was being very skeptical to go inside.
She didn't know how Cabir will react seeing her after this long.
But something was pushing her to go inside and talk to him and know everything about all of them and... especially Manik... what happened in all this years.
Cabir was lying down closing his eyes when he heard the door clicking. He opened his eyes and followed in the direction to see Nandini standing in the door.
"I knew it... Ki Tum hi hogi... " he sat up on the bed.
"Nandini... Kaisi ho... " he asked scoffing very coldly.
"Yeh sab kaise hua... Cabir... " she asked with moist eyes.
"Kis haq se pooch rahi ho Nandini... Tumne Woh haq kho diya hai..." He
"What are you talking Cabir..." She asked surprised.
"Me... What am I talking... Yeh Tum pooch rahi ho... Tumne soncha hai kabhi ki tumne Kya kiya... Hum sab ke saath... Manik ke saath.., " Cabir is getting so mad that he just wanted to shake her and take out his frustration on her... of Manik being hurt and the way she left everything behind her, he just want to scream and yell. But he controlled himself.
"Hamare baare mein na sahi... Lekin Sab Kuch chod kar jaane se pehle ek baar Manik ke baare mein tou sonchti... Jeena chod diya hai usne... Tumhare jaane ke baad Woh paagalon ki tarha tumhe dhoondta raha... Til til Marta raha..,," he took a pause...
"Tum tou janti thi na Nandini... Tum mein uski jaan basti thi... Phir bhi Tum usse chod kar chali gayi... Ek baar...ek baar bhi nahi soncha..," Cabir was so depressed telling her about Manik's situation.
Only he knows how Manik came back to life.
'Tumhe kaise bataaun Cabir... Mera bhi Haal Kuch aisa hi tha... But mujhe Jeena tha... Rishab ke liye... Mom and dad ki last nishaani and my only immediate family... Agar mera bas chalta tou main... Manik se dur jaane se pehle... Mar jaana prefer karti...' Nandini was thinking herself standing there.
Silent Tears are flowing constantly from her eyes.
"Doctor Doctor that ICU patient is loosing his pulse..." Nurse distracted both of them by slamming the door open.
"Did you call Dr. Abhimanyu and Dr. Kumar... " without waiting for another second she left from there.
Cabir too followed this time..
When she entered the ICU Dr. Kumar and Abhimanyu was already there trying all their best to not let Manik slip into comma...
His pulse rate was going down and BP level is also decreasing.
Nandini checked the monitor and was shocked... Because the heartbeat is almost gone. The monitor was showing only straight lines.
"We have to give him a shock...Dr Abhimanyu give me the wires and I will give the shock..." Dr Kumar is trying all his best to bring back his pulse.
Nandini came to Manik's left side and took his palm in hers and started rubbing it between her hands vigorously.
'Manik please wapas aa jaao... I promise I won't leave you again... Main tumhe chodke Kahin nahi jaauongi kabhi bhi nahi jaaungi... 'She was crying and communicating with him through the hand gestures.
'I'm so sorry Manik... Mujhe tumhe chod kar nahi jaana chahiye tha... Iski itni badi sazaa mutt dou mujhe... Main Wada karti hoon... I won't leave u again... Please wapas aajaao... Mere liye...' Her tears are following on his hands. She was sniffing very badly.
Her vision is very blurry and it was very difficult for her to see his face so she was wiping off her tears again and again.
But it's not stopping from flowing.
Cabir was watching from the window outside because the nurse didn't let him in.
Doctor gave two shocks to him and waited for few seconds.
The monitor was still blank.
Nandini was still rubbing his palms.
'Tum jo kahoge main Woh karungi... Please Manik... I can't see you like this... And And... I love you Manik... Please wapas aajaao...' She was constantly praying in her mind for his come back. It was as if both of them was communicating through each other's heart.
Nandini was holding his hands close to her eyes and crying nonstop.
And the unexpected happened.
The monitor beeped... And his fingers move a little in her hands.
"Wow... This is amazing... I can't believe it..." Dr. Kumar was amazed by the miracle just happened in front of his eyes.
Nandini couldn't believe that he is back... Back to her... Tears were still flowing from her eyes. She looked up and thanks her Aiyyappa for giving him back to her.
"I knew ki operation was successful... And this was not even expected... But I think sometimes we Doctors also have to believe that everything is in the hands of that super ultimate power... "Dr. Kumar looked up and said.
"There's something weird about this patient... It seems like he doesn't want to live... Yeh jeena hi nahi chahta hai... But shayad... Kisi na kisi ki dua hai jo isse Marne se Rok rahi hai. ..." He was saying keeping the wires on the rack.
Dr Abhimanyu was worried watching Nandini in this state..
He didn't understand why she is so emotionally disturbed by this patient.
What's the connection...
He was working with her since last two years but she never said anything about herself or her past.
When everything was back to normal and Manik's condition was stable...Nandini came out of the ICU... And without noticing Cabir she ran from there and came in front of a small temple of the hospital and fell on the floor near the feet of her Aiyyappa.
She was crying vigorously.
"Why... Kyun... Aapne kyun kiya Manik ke saath aisa... Maine Manik ko aapke hawaale kiya tha... I left him under your protection... But you didn't protect him... Why... Maine jo kiya... You knew why I did that... But still you didn't supported me... 'She was crying non stop...
'You brought Manik in front of me in this condition... Ki main ab bolun bhi tou Kya bolun... Kya karun... ' she was questioning her Aiyyappa when she heard a head on her head.
"Maybe because your Aiyyappa wants you to come back to him... That's why he bring him in front of you in this state. So that you can take care of him... Bring him back to life... With your care and love..." Cabir was standing there behind her.
She turned towards him and by standing up she hugged him... And cried her heart out. He was rubbing her back and trying to calm her down.
He knew how much they both loved each other... But don't get that how in the world they lived all this years being away from each other.
When Nandini was a little calm and separate herself from him she realized that she shouldn't have broken down in front of him.
"I'm sorry... " she said looking away from her.
"Sorry... Sorry for what... For loving Manik... Or sorry for not being there for him when he needed you the most... Or sorry for leaving him..." He was still agitated with her.
"You know... Nandini before this concert... Manik knew that... Uski jaan ko Khatra hai... But he didn't care... He just wanted to do this concert... It seems like he wanted to put himself in front of the danger..." Cabir hesitated a little.
"He wanted to take the danger with open arms... To... To finish himself off..." He let out a deep sigh.
Nandini was listening to him with teary eyes.
...
Around 8- 10 hours earlier.
In a five star hotel.
"Manik... Meri baat sun... You know ki Teri jaan ko Khatra hai... Let's cancel this concert... "Cabir was insisting Manik to cancel the concert.
"Maine bola na Cabir... I'm not canceling this concert... " Manik took a sip of his drink and put on the buttons of his shirt.
"Manik tu kyun zidd kar raha hai... Maan ja na... Hum aage Aise aur concerts kar lenge..." Mukti also supported Cabir.
"Ya Manik... Teri jaan se badh kar tou nahi hai na... We'll cancel this... Please..." Dhruv joined them.
"Tum log kyun pareshaan ho rahe ho... Nothing will happen... Trust me... Aur uss Harshad mein itni himmat nahi hai ki Woh Kuch kare... And the security is gonna be too tight... So don't worry guys..." Manik was not in a mood to listen to anybody today.
"But Manik you know how Bhai is... He will do anything to harm you... And he will find his ways... And the important thing is the concert is in open arena... So how can it be safe..." Aliya explained Manik about the scenarios.
"Kuch nahi hoga... I'm telling you guys... Woh hamara Kuch nahi bigaad paayega..." He was trying to calm everyone down.
"But Manik... This time on the publics demand the concert is in open arena... So we don't know how the security is going to handle the public..." Cabir gave his point of view.
( "Manik... This time tu nahi bachega... Yeh Teri life ka last concert hoga..." Harshad phone conversation echoed in Manik's ears.
"Harshad... Kayaron ki tarah dhamki kyun de raha hai... Dum hai tou saamne aakar Bol... Phir MERA bhi jawaab dekh..." Manik answers.
"Of course tujhe sab ke saamne aakar goli maarunga... Aur tu mujhe Rok bhi nahi paayega..." Harshad laughed like a maniac and cut the phone)
Aman their manager entered their hall and bring Manik back from his thought.
That call from Harshad was received two days ago and was heard by all the members of FAB5 as Manik put the phone on the speaker.
"Guys your limo is ready... It's an hour ride from here to the arena.
So when ever you want to leave just let me know... "Aman their manager informed them and left from there.
"Manik Phir se sonch le... Abhi bhi time hai... You can back off..."
Cabir pleaded again.
"that's it... I don't want to hear a word about the concert any more... I'm going to perform tonight... Jisko mere saath chalna hai woh chale... Otherwise no force... " he said in a firm voice and fisting his hands he left the hall.
He came to the lounge of the hotel and went near a private space.
He sat on a sofa and took out his wallet.
A small picture of Nandini was sneaking from it.
"Nandini... " he took a deep breath... "So here is another song dedicated to you as always... Another song in the queue... You wanted me to become a famous musician..., a famous singer.., and a famous band... So we are a famous band in the whole world... Just because... It was your wish... You asked me as your valentine gift 7 years ago... And I fulfilled your wish... I respected your wish... But it's so sad that you are not with me to see the success... " he was looking at Nandini's picture and talking to her.
"You left me... You didn't even think for once before you left... You didn't trusted me... Why... You didn't thought of me as trustworthy person... That I could solve your problems Nandini... I won't forgive you for what you'd done to me... I won't... If ever I meet you in my life... I will never ever forgive you... " he scoffed and tears formed up in his eyes.
He blinked away the tears and got Up from there.
In the evening thousands of people were gathered in the open arena to listen to the live concert of the famous band FAB5.
All the members to fab5 are tuning their instruments and were getting ready to rock n roll.
The security was extremely tight because of the threats given by none other than Harshad.
But Manik is Manik nobody can convince him if he make up his mind. Cabir Dhruv Mukti and Aliya took over their places and the music started.
The public was hooting for them.
FAB 5 FAB 5 FAB 5 FAB 5 FAB 5...
As Mukti is the lead guitarist she started playing.
The crowd calm down as soon as the music started
Manik came in the center and sang in his soulful voice.
Baatein ye kabhi na tu bhoolna
Koi tere khatir hai jee raha
Jaaye tu kahin, bhi ye sochna

His eyes got moist and listening to him Cabir Mukti Aliya and Dhruv get sad knowing his friends misery.

Manik thought of all the moments he spend with Nandini closing his eyes. Tears were ready to fall down from his eyes. But he controlled and continued singing with a very deep voice.

When he closed his eyes He felt like Nandini is with him right beside him touching his shoulder and keeping her head on his shoulder. But as soon as he opened his eyes... Phoo... She was gone. He looked here and there. And...

When the song was done the whole arena was echoed with applauds and scream and yells. "ONCE MORE ONCE MORE ONCE MORE."
Manik closed his eyes and was about to play his guitar when suddenly every body heard a scream.
"Maaniiik..." A man dressed up as a security officer with a black thick fake beard.
But Manik and the other members of FAB5 recognize the voice is of Harshad's.
He was standing right in front of Manik less than ten feet away.
"Maine kaha tha na... Tere saamne aakar tujhe goli maarunga... Dekh Maine apna vaada pura liya..." And Harshad fires a shot.
It hit Manik's shoulder.
"Manik... Move..." Cabir scream and came forward and tried to push Manik but before that Manik pushed Cabir off the stage and he fell down and hit his head with the rim of the stage and fell unconscious.
The crowd went out of control and was running for their lives.
Taking the opportunity Harshad fire few more shots at Manik without even seeing where it's hitting him.
Dhruv took Aliya and Mukti and went off the stage to shield them from Harshad's craziness.
Within minutes the security came and caught hold of Harshad and put on the hand cuffs on him.
But the damaged has already been done. The stage was empty the people were running.
There was a chaos in the arena.
Manik fell down on the stage unconscious. But before closing his eyes only word came out of his mouth.
"NANDINI..."
